This Rite Aid is huge! It is so big that there are empty shelves so over the store which is sad. The place is clean. I didn't purchase anything at the store. I came to pick up medication at the pharmacy. They don't have a drive through unfortunately. I used to go to Walgreens Pharmacy but they were inconsistent with their medication policy. This Rite Aid was very helpful in getting my medication. They were hassle free. The pharmacist was friendly. There was a line but it moved quickly. Walgreens not so much. I'll be back. read more

I loved the text messages for my automatic prescription renewals and I will surely miss the efficiency of the pharmacy and pharmacist for giving flu shots and Covid shots and just overall helpful. This Rite Aid is an absolute embarrassment as my neighborhood store! It's so dark outside in the evening. I came to this location because I needed last minute baby items. I really liked this store today! I'm new to the area, and after not finding what I needed at Walgreens I walked next door to Rite Aid. To be fair its a much larger store then Walgreens, the staff was great and even saved me 28.00. There is a portion of the store blocked off and the shelves were a little light, My biggest beef with the place though was its exterior, It's a mess, especially near the defunct pay phone. I transferred to Rite aid because Walgreens's sometimes doesn't carry our medication but walgreens people were never rude and Im much of the mind that how you treat me you will be treated. This tech gave me attitude so I gave it back. Wasted my time asked me to call my insurance instead of calling herself then told me the info was incorrect I told her I had the insurance on the phone and said she needed to use her phone to call then why not do it from the beginning! In a area less than 1 mile radius of 2 drugstores, (2 grocery stores for that matter), I prefer this one over the other. It usually has what I'm looking for, & if not I understand the situation of empty shelves w/impact of the pandemic, two years & still going. What I also like is the option of self check if there's a long line, which is random times. The customer service isn't bad and last but not least, it's the safer choice as the parking lot is wide open making me feel safer than the other drug store with the pandhandling that goes on there because it's off the freeway & entrance on corner making it easy to catch people off guard. Is this my favorite? No, the Newport/Menifee Rd location is the far better, but this is more convenient. read more

On the road and stopped for a couple of candy bars. The woman with dyed black hair at the counter, just a little before 9:00 pm on Thursday 1/26/17 was sooooooo rude! She seemed really upset at me for no reason. I wanted to pay but she was on her cell phone. Then a lady formed in line behind me, she looked at her and said "I can help you right here". Really? What am I chopped liver? When that customer left she didn't say anything to me, no greeting, nothing, completely silence as if I had done something to her. I had never been here before. I asked her if she was ok as it was just odd. Finally I said, "not even a hello, how are you?". She didn't respond. She then asked about Plenty points and asked to enter my phone number. I said I didn't want to use them. She responded "ok then just press the green button". I looked at her in disbelief, the green button was actually the wrong button. Management, why oh why? Ok I went in with my daughter and boyfriend for ice cream. This black woman that was the employee was the only one in the front ringing people up so we waited about 5 min before being able to order. Any ways. She obnoxiously asks about 5 to 7 times how many ice creams we were going to have in our order or how many orders we were going to have and I didn't really understand why she was asking when there was no one behind us or at the other registers. She then resumes to scoop my ice cream with no gloves on, and this was after washing her hands then touching the dirty keyboard she scoops my ice cream with no gloves I have no idea why she thought that was a. Good idea but it was disgusting. She also had her hoodie on, and no name tag. Very sloppy and not a good representation of the company and their standards. read more

After getting my meds at two different pharmacies and not feeling like I should be there, I decided to switch my prescriptions to Rite Aid. Not knowing what to expect, and already feeling that the poor treatment from other pharmacies was the norm, I was pleasantly surprised with how great the employees are at this location. The pharmacy staff has been absolutely great and I even had to comment to the pharmacist one day. "Wait, a pharmacist that actually gives sound advice to a customer?" I said to him. He smiled, and told me that he feels it's important to do more than just read the label - which is what they do at Walgreens right next door. The first time I bought my prescriptions, a very kind woman up front asked if I had signed up for a discount, since the prescriptions are going to be monthly. Back at the pharmacy, something wasn't working right when I entered my info, but the lady there was very accommodating and helped me get set up. I've always gotten friendly smiles, great conversation, and great treatment. I was at Great RX Pharmacy (same parking lot) and they were rude, ignorant, and arrogant. That lasted about three months and I was done with them. Rite Aid gets my business, and now I go in there for small items where I had never thought to go before. read more

I needed to wait 24 hours before writing this review. Call it a cooling off period. OK so 24 hours have passed and I am still appalled by yesterday experience. I drive 65 miles one way weekly to take care of my Mother. She suffers from bladder cancer and end stage COPD. She has been a customer of this RiteAid for over 10 years. They know her. They know me because I am the only person that picks up her medication weekly. Yesterday they didn't know any of us........ We needed a copy of her medical expense records for Medicare. This is a transcript that can be printed in minutes and something that I have obtained several times over the years. When calling the pharmacy to order the report we were informed that it could only be handed directly to my Mother. Or mailed. They would no longer be able to give it to me. Even though they knew me and have helped me for years! "Managers rules.....I will get fired if I give it to you" is what we were told. We couldn't wait for the mail so here I am escorting my very sick Mother to the car.....driving her to the Pharmacy.......parking in the front and having someone walk outside to hand her the form directly. Combine that with the pharmacy cash registers being down and all meds being taken to the front. More waiting in line. There must have been 12 pharmacy techs working with everything moving at a snails pace. Too many cooks in the kitchen...... In the guise of remodeling your pharmacy you have lost all customer service all together. This may very well be the experience that prompts us to seek another store. read more

I love Rite Aid's buy-one, get-one free deals on Nature Made vitamins! They have them about once every 6 weeks or so. The tons of tree overgrowth used to make it a challenge to get to their Glacier water refill station, but they've recently trimmed it thankfully. I haven't seen a check-out incident like the last time and I usually get in & out quickly. Plus I just had their ice cream for the first time and it's ta die for! Returned at the time i was told my perscription would be ready, only to wait 30 minutes in line to be told it would be 20 minutes. Returned to wait in line again for 35 minutes before ever receiving an "urgent" medication. Customer service seems to be nonexistent. read more

Pharmacy Review My review is for the pharmacy today. I was shopping around for the best price for a prescription on a skin bleach cream that was not covered on my insurance for being cosmetic only. I checked three pharmacies, one another large chain competitor nearby and a small mom and pop shop. The chain store was about 30% more and the mom and pop was the same as Rite Aid. I went with Rite Aid since I had past experience buying general merchandise there and frankly, their parking is easier than the nearby chain store. The employee who took my prescription gave me the price which was high for any prescription but she asked me if I had a AAA membership which I do. That would take off 10% I believe. She also checked their own discount via my "club" membership. I thought she was awesome to search for the best price because no one else offered that to me! This employee's name was Jennifer, I believe, and she showed what a stellar employee can do! I will stop going to the other chain pharmacy in the future and come here. Bravo! read more

The women who work here are absolutely the NASTIEST people. They're short and very VERY rude. Every single employee I spoke with was unfriendly and bitter. Elderly woman a at cashier short changed me $10. I realized when I walked out to my car and came back in with my receipt. Saw the line was now 6 customers deep and decided to walk up to the manager and tell her the situation. She was rude and proceeded to tell me I needed to wait in line for my turn. The cashier was very slow and the manager came and took over after a few minutes. 10 minutes later, it was FINALLY my turn. I told the manager that I felt it was rude to make me wait in line again, as I was already here 10 minutes ago and I had people waiting in the car (mind you I was VERY VERY nice when saying this). She didn't give a flying rats butt and argued with me the entire time at the register. Just plain nasty, it's so sad to see bitter people in this world. One of the treasures of this place is the Thrifty's Ice Cream Bar. Unfortunately, the ice cream bar is almost always closed every time I want to treat my kids to ice cream. It's always the same excuses, "it's being drained", "there is no one here to work it", "it's broken". Lame. Other than that, the service is always slow. Store is great. Prices are great. People extremely friendly. Shopped today and you can no longer take shopping carts outside. I understand they've had a lot of stolen carts, but if you have heavy items or many bags, it is inconvenient to wait for help to carry items to the car. Since it is hot, I needed to take my dog in. (Very nice to allow small dogs if towel or similar item on bottom of basket) Instead of being in cart, it was too hot on pavement for her paws. Customer service sucks. Went to return an item that I had purchased at this store the day before (found it much cheaper on Amazon) . Cashier (red haired girl) didn't want to do the return because I paid with apple pay (even though I had the receipt), and she wanted to match my card number to the receipt. Apple pay changes your card number for security purposes so it won't match on the receipt but I could've shown her on my phone the 'device account number' which matches on the receipt and she could've also seen my actual card number on my phone on the wallet app, which matches the physical debit card i gave her. I could've also showed her the transaction on my phone and the address/time/amount of purchase so she would be able to see that it matches. All of this info is on the wallet app on the iphone everytime you use apple pay. She told me I had to come back to have the manager verify it... I'm not gonna come back again just so I can wait for Steve to do the return. I had the product, unopened and the original receipt. I returned the item at another Rite Aid with no issues. By the way, I work at Another Rite Aid and I understand how returns work. She wouldn't have even been able to put the money back on my card because it's a debit card. She would've had to have given me cash for it because Rite Aid does not allow you to put the money back on a debit card. It only allows you to put the money back on the card if it's credit only. If she still had doubts she could've had the MOD go to the office and look up on the cameras the date, time, and register # in which the transaction took place and they would be able to see that I'm the one who made the purchase and they would be able to see that I used apple pay. read more

On Feb. 16, 2009, I made several purchases at this Rite Aide Drug store. I later found that all of the items I paid for was not in my bags. I called the store and advised that the items were missing and not in the bags that the checker was to have placed the items in. ALL I GOT FOR AN ANSWER WAS "IT'S NOT HERE" that comment was repeated several times to me during my inquiry and attempt to retrieve what they had kept. The total was only $3.53. At least they could have replaced what they didn't put in my bags& that I had paid for , that is also showing on my receipt, no matter if it was only two bags of candy. We have shopped at this store for the last three years and now it seems that they do not care if you got what you paid for or not. The woman at the store, who was on the phone with me, just pushed me aside with the repeated commit "IT'S NOT HERE" in a sarcastic short of way and would not help at all in retrieving my missing items. I will not shop there again due to this treatment............. SORRY BUT .... I cannot recommend anyone shopping here without carefully wattching what the checker loads in your bags after paying. read more
