    Fresh Quick Brewed Coffee
    David L.

Took a walk with a colleague today, looking for a different coffee shop while I was near downtown for work, ended up going with Ritual Coffee as I have not had that for a while, walked in and the place was small and nice, vibes were super chill, ordered the brewed and ready with room for cream since that's normally my go-to! Coffee came out super quickly, of course, and the service was spectacular. Their POS machine was down today as it sounded like the wifi gave out, and it wouldn't let me apple pay, so the worker offered the coffee for free (the one day I didn't bring my wallet). I thanked them for the gesture and, of course, promised to come back with my wallet to pay for it. Great coffee, great service, great vibes, what more can you ask for, will totally be coming back here when I'm nearby again!

Great coffee and tea place in the middle of Hayes Valley. First experienced Ritual in the Mission, but this one in Hayes Valley is my fave for many reasons. Their drinks are great and located right on Patricia's Green. Buzzing with activities and great place to people watch. While they are known for their coffee drinks, Ritual carry this fantastic brand, Song Tea. Each cup of tea is brewed to order and you can really taste each note. My absolute fave right now is the Snow Jasmine with notes of sweet nectar and Lily. It's a green tea that comes from the Sichuan region of China. It's both fragrant and light, smooth yet striking with great mouthfeel and a very pleasant aftertaste. Great to enjoy both hot or cold. Service pleasant and located on Octavia and Hayes.

Got a holiday gift card to Ritual so dropped by to get some coffee! Ordered a cappuccino for my hubby and a chai tea latte for myself. Love the chai, not too sweet with a hint of cinnamon. As a non coffee drinker, I was happy to see that they have tea, chai, hot chocolate and matcha here. Will be back to try their matcha another time!

Small but popular spot in Hayes valley. Nice outdoor seating with a little park, especially on a nice day. Also good place for people watching. Lots of dogs too! Staff were friendly and efficiently despite getting quite busy. I tried their mocha which was pricey at ~8.50 but delicious with dandelion chocolate. Definitely will be back for coffee.

Sometimes I take my cat for walks; baristas tend to love it, forget my name though hahahah

Seasonal Peach Fuzz was a delightful surprise -- not at all sweet aside from the peach ring gummy candy nestled in the ice xD excited to try the other summer seasonal special! Pro tip: For your own sake, when waiting in line to order AND after you place your order: stand _OUTSIDE_ the shipping container* Second pro tip: Come for strong coffee, well made (to the standard aka not what you get in your mocha frappe whatever at evil corporate shops) simple drinks AND interesting, typically sweet seasonal specials NOT snapping instagram reels and/or being fawned over like you're someone special Ambience, service, and food same same as my previous review. *teeny tiny, poorly ventilated shoebox of a shipping container

Staying in a hotel in the area and walked over to Ritual this morning for some coffee. Love the area where it's located. Had a latte which was quite lovely though I would have preferred it to be a little hotter. Very tasty though. My husband enjoyed his brew. Cute place, nice service, good coffee.

Enjoyed a perfect latte, neither over or under extracted, which is unfortunately common in most coffee shops across the city. They are a small and cute booth with reasonably priced pastries and snacks. The location is prime, right in the middle of Patricia's Green. The baristas were quick and friendly.

    Foggy Latte

If coffee and boba had a baby.... this is what it would taste like. In the best way possible hahaha. The Foggy Latte is Earl Grey tea and coffee, but it tasted surprisingly well together without being overly sweet. They definitely perfected this drink! It's a cute little kiosk-esque shop with a ton of outdoor seating and perfect for pet owners! Dogs and birds alike!! (Yes we did see a guy walking his bird LOL and loved every minute of it)

The soy latte, while pricey, was so smooth and delicious! A friend treated me to this, so it was wonderful, but I don't know that I'd be able to afford this very often. ‍ I guess it could be like other things, just a special treat once in a long while! Baristas were friendly and patient while we decided what we wanted.

trekking around sf and stopping by ritual coffee roasters for a drink...located in a unique city parklet with exercise equipment and screen above...on the corner of octavia and hayes...just a bench inside and no tables...have to enjoy your drink and bites outside in the parklet...always looking for something different and taking the cherry bomb $6.75...selecting the $1 option for tip making it $7.75 total...like a cherry flavored cold brew soda...this is definitely an acquired taste...the first sip was just bizarre, but started getting use to the taste after the 3rd or 4th sip...definitely get a good caffeine hit...started liking it towards the end...

Cute smol cafe located in the heart of Hayes Valley. The peach fuzz had a lot of potential but the ginger was too much.

I love this coffee stand in Hayes Valley--it's trusty and reliable. Great consistent service, and you can enjoy your drink in Patricia's Green or while shopping in Hayes Valley. Loved my seasonal Spromoni with raspberry whipped cream this winter, but have enjoyed my lattes here in the past. Good, convenient location of course.

We chose this large city location thanks to easy parking and a convenient stop on our drive. It was a beautiful morning, which was easy to enjoy thanks to the high ceilings, big glass windows, and open main door. The first floor has a central counter to order food and drinks; the glass cabinet has a bunch of rotating pastries from a local bakery. They have restrooms and a merchandise area here too. At the front are counter seats along the front window, and also a horseshoe that looks into the roasting area, which is a great place to smell the beans. There's an upstairs loft that overlooks the cafe below, also with a test kitchen area and offices across to the front. They definitely have a larger business going on, and I can see why it's so popular. We ordered a latte, iced coffee, and various pastries to start our day. Prices were reasonable for the quality. All the baristas were friendly and fast to help.

Coffee was solid across the board. Grabbed an iced americano and it did what it needed to do. Staff were friendly too, happy to chat and talk me through their menu and answer any questions I had. Where Sightglass lost points for me: -Fire up that hot spot, because there's no wifi. -My husband's breakfast sandwich was cold in the middle. -Worst of all... paper straws. I know, dramatic, but I want to enjoy my coffee without the inevitable ticking time bomb of a straw progressively getting more and more soggy with every sip.

Occasionally burnt espresso but I love them too much to mind. I am a matcha snob to say the LEAST. Hands down best coffee shop matcha in the Bay Area. The classic iced matcha latte with honey is grassy and earthy and creamy and a little sweet. The iced banana pudding matcha latte had people lined up around the corner for months when it came out. It is deliciously worth the wait. Best banana cold foam in my opinion because it's made with actual bananas instead of flavoring so it's much more mellow. The double matcha they had for awhile is also awesome. Banana cold foam also goes great on an espresso latte. Now they let you add whichever cold foam you like to whatever drink which is great. Basically you can't go wrong. They are always changing up the menu for the new season and have lots of unique drinks on their menu. Not much seating inside at this location. The winchester Blvd one has more if that's what you're looking for. Their pastries are also all yummy and they sell their matcha powder for $60 for 100g which is a GREAT price for a great matcha. I would've gate kept this place but everyone already knows about it so I HAVE to show them the love they deserve!!

This has been a known ongoing issue for a number of years and has never been addressed Please, for the love of God get better tops that don't leak. The place doesn't need another remodel it needs better tops that actually work. It's not hard. Just find a better supplier that has cup tops that actually work. I don't like using straws because it backwashes the drink. And I don't like cleaning stains off of my shirts every single time I go to get a coffee from academic. So please for the love of God fix the ongoing KNOWN top leaking issue... And if management actually gives a crap and it gets resolved, fingers crossed, I'll update my review.
