Thoroughly impressed with my iced latte! My taste buds were happy dancing. The flavors/notes of the espresso are really yummy. I can't wait to go back!
This is not my first time going to this coffee shop -- their coffee is excellent. However, I met my girlfriend this morning for coffee and had a very unpleasant experience. I ordered a simple Americano, asked for some oat milk, and waited and waited and waited. When my coffee was finally ready, I picked up the cup and it was lukewarm, so I asked the barista to steam the Americano. She said sure and, with a snooty attitude, told me to ask for a Cortado next time so she could charge me more. I asked what the difference was, and while she explained, she proceeded to pour a tiny bit of steamed oat milk on top. My coffee continued to be lukewarm, and for $6.75 -- by the way, why is an Americano $6.75? For that price, I could have gone anywhere for a cup of coffee without the snooty attitude. I'm done. There are dozens of amazing coffee spots in San Francisco.
Small storefront not too much bigger than their Mission location. There's some outdoor patio seating which is nice, although not nearly enough seating for more than several people. Service was pretty quick for how many orders they were handling at a time. We got a cortado to share. Hard to judge the espresso alone since there was oat milk, but overall pretty solid cortado. Microfoam was nice and silky. Pricing comparable to other shops in SF at over $6 for a cortado (before tip and tax), but doesn't make it any easier to swallow. Not the best cup I've had, but better than other cafes in the Mission Bay/Portrero area IMO.
I've never been here before, but it's right down the street from where I'm staying. I usually go to Farley's a couple of blocks away, but I decided to give this place a try since it's a local neighborhood spot. It was about 12:45 p.m. when I went in--fairly quiet with just a few customers. The space is clean and very simplistic, with no indoor seating. There are only a few benches outside, so if it's raining, you won't have a place to sit. I ordered an iced Americano with a splash of milk, and they offered honey or sugar cane as sweeteners (I usually bring my own Stevia). The drink came in what looked like a medium size, comparable to national coffee chains, and cost a little over six dollars--which isn't bad for the area. The flavor was excellent: smooth, not burnt, and nicely balanced. It's a great place to stop for a quick espresso or afternoon coffee. Parking is fairly easy in this neighborhood--just keep an eye on the signs, since there's a two-hour limit on weekdays. On Saturdays, parking is free. Overall, Linea Coffee Roasting has good vibes, solid coffee, and a convenient location surrounded by other small shops and restaurants. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.
I think my coffee budget takes up ~30% of my eating out budget and even tho Philz takes the top spots (mmmm fresh chai), Linea and Spro are a very close second. I'm a sucker for a good latte with pretty latte art and this is one of my top spots. I am usually there close to 7am so there's hardly a line, service is quick being in and out ~5min. As for the ambiance, I like the industrial feel, it's just somewhat cold inside because of all the concrete and open space. I also love that they carry Neighbor Bakehouse pastries so I don't need to walk far down 3rd street to get my fix-- they serve a wide variety of pastries such as the everything croissant, pandan muffin, ginger pull apart and honey financier (my hubs' fav). It does cost a pretty penny which is why I only have it maybe once or twice a month at most. The quality is there, but it definitely is a treat whenever I visit.
Decided to stop here for some coffee while we waited for our table at Plow, which is only a few min walk away! The store smells so good with their fresh roasted coffee beans! They have such a large variety of roasted beans. ~the drink~ - Salted maple latte ($8.50): An iced latte topped with whipped cream, maple syrup, and malden salt! Love that the iced latte part is not too sweet since the whipped cream topping is sweet! I thought this drink would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it really wasn't! I would still consider a latte on the sweeter side, but I think it's a nice treat! The salt pairs super well with the whipped cream and sweetness of the maple syrup. ~overall~ This coffee shop is super clean and friendly! They also have some really nice benches on the outside to enjoy your coffee! I would say their prices are relatively reasonable. They seem to be using quality ingredients, so I think their prices are justified.
Linea made me start loving the taste of coffee. I had always found coffee to be bitter and sour, but I realized that they can be so smooth especially if you order the latte! Now I am very much a cappuccino person, but you can't go wrong with anything! Not a lot of seating outside and there's no indoor seating. I would grab a coffee with a friend and walk around the neighborhood! Staff is always so nice and even though there's usually a line, it goes by quite fast
Came here with some friends on a Saturday afternoon! Good: - Fast service! The coffee was ready almost instantaneously - Golden milk espresso latte was really good - good kick with the turmeric too. Pretty sweet too and it masked the coffee taste - Nice staff and the place is super cute inside - good ambiance Bad: - The price is pretty high - $10 for an oat milk coffee is crazy Overall a nice place to go with friends
Located in Potrero Hill, this café features an on-site roastery. There was a short line in the morning, but it didn't take long to order and receive my drink. I've been wanting to try their Salted Maple Latte ($8.00 + 1% Restore CA Non-Taxable Fee), and I ordered the hot version. +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Whipped cream was light and fluffy. -Maldon salt overpowered the maple syrup: Leaned salty -Espresso was weak: Considering they source and roast their beans, this was a disappointment. Side notes: 1.) There's outdoor bench seating, but to-go may be the best option if it's gloomy or windy. 2.) Self-serve water cups 3.) I'd recommend paying w/card b/c they might not have change for cash. 4.) Not sure what the "Restore CA Non-Taxable Fee" is, but this is the 1st time I've seen it. *Verdict: I'm glad I finally tried this spot, but considering the price and taste I don't think I'll return.

No seating inside but there is a nice parklet for when weather allows. Our favorite thing about the coffee is how well it performs and tastes on our home espresso machine-- after trying several different brands, Linea really stood out and has become our coffee of choice. It's pricy but absolutely worth it to feel like a barista at home before work.

By far one of the best cups of coffee I've had in San Francisco. I ordered the espresso tonic, one of my favorite coffee drinks, and it was outstanding. The espresso was amazing, perfectly balanced, not watered down, and the ratio of espresso to tonic was spot on. The storefront is small with just a couple of seats outside and not really any seating inside, so it's definitely better for sitting outside or grabbing your coffee to go. Service was solid. I don't think I've ever seen a coffee shop with prices this high, which would definitely keep me from coming here regularly. That being said, the coffee was so good that I'll absolutely be back. Pricey, but one of the best coffees I've had in the city. read more

4.5 stars rounded up. If I like my coffee, it's gone in a few minutes, flat. Everytime I order an iced decaf Salted Maple Latte from Linea, the contents of my cup pull a disappearing act. The thick whipped cream, drizzled with maple syrup & sprinkled with salt, is the sweet component. The iced coffee is bitter & complex in the most delicious ways. Once I've licked up most of the whipped topping, I stir in the rest, & it makes for the most drinkable, perfectly sweet & salty drink. Worth the ~$9 price tag. Cool cafe with no indoor seating & wonderful cashier & baristas. Give Linea a try. read more

Tried the shakerato and the mizuba matcha. Not a fan of the matcha but the shakerato was decent - nothing special. The coffee shop has very limited seating outside. Very tiny spot, also offers some pastries. read more

Still a great choice for coffee lovers! The espresso always comes through with whatever you order there. My new go-to is the Shakerato! So good!! Service is quick and friendly. They have GREAT pastries! I love the pistachio blueberry croissant! It's so freaking good. Pastries do run out though if you come later in the day. Chill spot in the sunnier side of SF. There's a parklette out front with plenty of seating to sip on your coffee. I've seen glass cups here so I think you have your coffee served in a glass or mug if you're planning on chilling outside with your coffee. Great spot, family, and dog friendly! I like this location more than the one on 18th because of the parking situation and it's more chill. read more
I took a lovely walk in Potrero and walked by the Linea to see many enjoying their drinks outside on the patio. When I walked in, I noticed a whole table of 50% off beans and I knew I had to pick up a bag. I ended up walking out with a decaf bag of beans and a mocha! The drink was tasty and it was lovely to sit outside and sip! read more

Nice coffee shop. They roast and serve their own coffee, which is pretty cool. There's no indoor seating so this shop has a more grab-and-go type of vibe. However, they do have outdoor benches. I got an iced salted maple latte ($8.00) and my bf got an iced espresso tonic ($7.50). For the price point, the cups were quite small. Overall, the coffee was good and we enjoyed our drinks. For my drink, the amount of maple syrup and salt was subtle, which I liked since it didn't make the latte overly sweet and salty. The whipped cream provided a good creaminess. Service was good. Staff was friendly and quick. No complaints. read more
Cute little coffee shop that makes their coffee in house. Got a cold brew and a strawberry guava pastelito. The pastry definitely has a similar taste to Porto's strawberry guava roll in SoCal. Will need to come back and try their other coffee/pastries. read more

Had a pleasant experience of tasting perfectly brewed coffee. Will spread the word and have my colleagues experience the same. Pleasant service with attention to the details and needs. The design is in SF style, minimal and sufficient. A little bit on the pricey side however, what would you expect for the good stuff. Come try and enjoy. read more
Is this the best coffee in SF? Most very likely. Extremely good quality not just for SF but for anywhere. Are the beans here expensive? Oh yeah, but see my statement about being the best. 10oz will run you $28 and up depending on the bean you get. Only gripe would be they don't serve espresso shots of any of their single origin, but their house coffee is sublime. Nice outdoor seating. Service is prompt. Would def return. read more
Hmm, that was interesting. Previously I had a stellar experience at their tiny cafe on 18th Street in the Mission. Very simple, straightforward transaction with the friendly barista (review: https://bit.ly/46PE411). I had been looking forward to trying their more spacious roastery location. I was finally taking a morning walk in Potrero Hill and stopped by. There were three people working, The one who took my order was at the register and was unexpectedly curt with me. Not sure why. Guess he missed his customer service class. Anyway, it sorta soured me on the otherwise satisfying $5.25 Cortado. It was short and sweet (photo: https://bit.ly/3pX4QE6). I drank it rather quickly outside in the parklet. Besides, there was no seating inside. Just as well since I kinda felt like Carrie after the pig's blood.
