All of which was on a nine‑month‑old car with 10k miles. They even rolled a tire with a small screw in it across the shop floor like it was some dramatic reveal--something they didn't do for anyone else. Meanwhile when a gentlemen sitting next to her had to have a tire plugged due to a similar issue and they didn't roll his tire in to show him. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a pattern, especially toward women. People report being told their car couldn't even be serviced unless they bought new tires, only to find out later it was just a nail that could be plugged for under $30. Some were even offered free tires afterward if they'd change their review. This isn't an honest mistake. It's a consistent upsell routine, and it's not a good look for a company this size.

Living in Marvin, I'm used to getting ripped off by the brand name tire stores lining the Waxhaw Marvin / Providence Rd route. Most of them can't even road force balance tires, but Black's can. For brakes on my Nissan Titan, they offered the NAPA silentguard and installed them for $209 out the door. Every other tire shop closer to me wants $450+ for the same job, telling you how much they are marking up their labor. Hell, even the dealer was going to charge me $329, and I was shocked that it was less than the other shops but at least there, I expect the Dealer to rip me off. If you live in Waxhaw/Marvin and need tires and service for your vehicle, I am telling you to drive the extra 20 minutes and get down to Monroe and see these guys. I called to check in how long approximately they anticipated it taking as I had a commitment following. Sam, this is where you started giving the wildest reasons why I may not even get out of there with one tonight-- potentially failed inspection (warranting state law immediate fix), bays breaking down hydraulics, not knowing repair depth, etc. It just kept getting weirder and more like I shouldn't trust them. I canceled my appointment.
