Riverbend did a fantastic job on Thursday giving our mature maple tree a much needed haircut. They had a crew of 5 and one of them climbed onto the tree to trim off the significant overhang that's over our roof. It's my first time getting an arborist in to carry this out and they've given the best experience thus far. I have been using Riverbend for my tree work for years. Marcel and his crew are the best. Recently, a tree started leaning heavily towards my house due to the recent storm, and Marcel came out immediately for an estimate. When it fell into my pool area overnight, Marcel made my job a priority and scheduled removal for the next morning. His guys ultimately removed 4 dead pines quickly and efficiently. Ryan and his crew did a fantastic job pruning several big, dead branches from a 60 year old maple tree. The workers were efficient and polite. Attached are before and after pics so you can see what they did. The canopy looks clean and the tree will no longer be a "sail" when hurricane season comes around. It wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for, which includes keeping the benefit of a professionally pruned tree in your yard, as opposed to chopping it down and lowering property values for your neighbors. :) read more

I called Marcel from Riverbend. He came over, gave us an estimate and the next day an amazing crew showed up , they came equipped with a crane and four other large trucks and chipper. with the crane, barely any thing even hit the ground. The crane was able to maneuver, huge sections of tree directly into the chipper with ease. they took down two huge white pines that were right next to my house and we're done and cleaned up by 5 PM. all in all a great experience highly recommend this tree service . read more

Amazing tree removal service! After receiving about ten separate estimates, I signed a contract with another company, however they had to contract to riverbend and boy did these guys delivered! We have been using this company for over ten years. Lawn and tree maintenance, plus snow removal. Our lawn is so green and beautiful! And we have never had the property damage we experienced in the past with other landscape companies. The owner is a licensed aboritist, and he really cares about saving the trees. They are not the least expensive, but this is an example of you get what you pay for! They are licensed, bonded, and since The White House is a client the crews have security clearance. I was looking forward to having a french drain put in this spring and the customer service at Riverbend Landscapes seemed great. They were reasonably priced and the project seemed like it would be quick and they would be able to get in through my fence. Problem is... I never got my french drain installed. After FOUR (yes, you read that correctly) no-shows with no phone calls to say they weren't coming I asked for a refund. The company tried to blame it on the weather; however, the weather was beautiful each day they were scheduled. It was extremely unprofessional to no-show/no-call FOUR times and when they offered a fifth I gladly declined. We had placed a 2k down payment on this project and are waiting on the refund. This was not a small project. The project manager, Jeremy, was very unprofessional and admitted that it was unprofessional not to call. This company takes on too much and as one customer indicated you get "lost in the shuffle" and they move your appt without telling you. My neighbors were going to use the same company and we told them to cancel the call they were about to make. You not only lost our service you lost not one, but two additional neighbors. read more

The call was made; was informed they would be out to assess the problem and within a few hours, Ryan was on the site,, assessing the problem and said the team will be out later that evening. It already getting dark; but their word is 'Bond' and at 9:15p.m. (yes), they were cutting down the extremely large tree with a huge trunk that fell from the neighbor's yard. This company is best to be avoided. After getting an estimate on trimming my overgrown pine tree and scheduling the work, they first showed up on the wrong day. After attempting 3 times to reschedule them (all of which were changed again by them) they were to show up yesterday morning. Then they changed the time again to 5pm. They did not show up or even have the courtesy to call. Customer service isn't hard, but it starts with recognizing that your customer's time is important. This company is fantastic! Maybe I should write two reviews so that I can give them TEN stars. An estimator (Kevin) came to our home, took his time and reviewed our needs. He did not try to upsell us. A couple hours later on the same day, we received a surprisingly reasonable estimate. We decided to move forward. On the day of tree removal, Riverbend's 5-man crew (led by Francisco) arrived early and immediately started work. They were courteous and efficient and worked hard all day (despite the heat). A few days later Carlos arrived and spent hours carefully grinding the large stumps. We could not be happier with the quality of the work and the attention to detail. It's also worth noting that they cleaned up our yards after the work. We would highly recommend that you consider Riverbend Tree Service for your landscaping needs. 1- I get flyers in mail," we are working your neighborhood"- Not very original, but good waste of couple trees/paper. 2- I fill in request for quote- No response. 3- Months later I call them, receptionist great, scheduled appointment. I missed call but rep looked at job site, we spoke on phone, advised I would get estimate that afternoon. Did not . Called, rep apologized stated, overwhelmed with storm work, would get it to me that day, did not get it, but got it the next day. I read the reviews to get an idea about views on Riverbend, the company that I use all the time as my property has a lot of tress, many are more than 100 years old. It seems to me that the bad reviews are not about tree care - they are about drains and wood chips. The Riverbend landscape company that cares for your trees and shrubs, is simply the best I have ever encountered. The workers are all well trained and competent. They stay with the company for years and have a positive attitude. The Kevin noted by Jimstudio50 in his review, is the same Kevin who was an estimator at my property. Kevin told me he had to work at Riverbend for 14 years before he could move up to a position as arborist who could do estimates. There are, I believe, 8 arborists at Riverbend. It is a shame for such a great company to be rated so harshly. I too have called the office on different occasions. They never ask if you are a repeat customer, they simply take care of your request. This company has apparently eveolved into a larger client base. I had success with them two years ago. In the past few weeks it took a series of many e mails and follow ups to get an estimate. Then I had to follow up several times again for a proposal. The proposal received was almost 40% higher than what was verbally conveyed by their estimator. Feedback regarding the discrepancy was only met with apologies. Since they appear to be so busy and overcommitted, I'd think twice before contacting this company as you are likely to be at the bottom of their priorities. Even 2 years ago, after a signed contract it took several follow ups to get the work scheduled. Theit high tech arborist credentials are alluring, but those persons do not supervise the work. So unless you are a major client , the likelihood that your project will get timely attention or a fair price is something worth considering based upon my experience. read more

Logan the owner provided an estimate in a timely manner and his price was competitive. Scheduling took some work without a firm date, but we overcame that. So, we signed the agreement. However, getting his company to protect our property under their insurance in case of any mishap became a deal breaker. He walked away from the signed agreement. Professional and thorough tree removal! Logan provided a written estimate within 24 hours of my first contact, and responded to my questions promptly. The crew was friendly and focused, laid straw and grass seed after they were done, and the dumpster was gone in less than 24 hours. They took precautions against property damage - they had Miss Utility come and mark underground lines before they showed up, and got drawings from the County beforehand for septic drain field info to make sure they were traversing our yard without damaging things. We had a very positive experience with this company. The first company I called for this project refused to do it because they said it was too dangerous. I called another tree company who quoted an exorbitant price to remove one dead tree. Later, a separate tree came down and I called Riverbend to get a quote for both. Their quote for two trees was substantially less than the original quote for one! Crew was very professional.
