I took the day off from work to stop at a bunch of places between Saukville and Sheboygan. I left early enough to have breakfast somewhere and the good reviews for Rivers Edge led me there. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese omelette with a side of crispy hash browns and one pancake. I don't know if I've been more impressed by a place that I wasn't sure what to expect at. As of the point where I'm leaving this review, they had 46 other reviews for an average of 4.7 out of 5, which is really good, but most of the pictures of food were from 5+ years ago, so I had a hard time gauging if I would like it. If you like bacon, order the bacon, egg, and cheese omelette. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but this thing was absolutely loaded inside with thick cut bacon. I wasn't asked what kind of toast I wanted, so I assume they only have white toast. The two slices had nice globs of butter in between, so I didn't have to dress them up on my own. The hash browns were spot on. A little bit of flavor from the butter or oil they were cooked in and perfectly crispy like I asked for. I added a little salt and pepper on top and that's all they needed. Like the bacon in the omelette, the pancake was thick, yet managed to be fluffy and have some crispiness near the edge. Honestly, I think this is one of the best pancakes I've ever had. I put a little syrup on it, but I probably didn't need to because even without the syrup it had some sweetness to it. The prices were very reasonable and the portions well sized. There was a small group of construction workers at a corner table that looked close to my age, otherwise all of the customers in this packed restaurant had at least 15 years on me. Not a problem, but it fit in with the old school diner feel of the place. Some of the customers and the waitress were chatting it up like they knew each other, so they've definitely got regulars that stop often. I'm jealous of them; I can't wait to come back. As a note, they are cash only and don't have an ATM on site.

Breakfast was a huge surprise, hand cut bacon, perfect eggs, and crunchy hash browns! You're missing out if you're in the area and haven't had breakfast here. We only had breakfast but would definitely try the rest of the menu considering how much effort was put into breakfast.

This is how diners should be run. Everyone's family here. Quality ingredients, fair prices and passion. Bacon is life changing. So is the oatmeal just in a different way.

Excellent food and home atmosphere, a restaurant with a family feel and old time diner experience.

Excellent food and service, well worth the the visit with the hometown dinner experience. Good food and good company.

Simple food prepared expertly by very nice people. Rivers Edge is in the middle of nowhere and was recommended by one of my husband's co-workers. It's a breakfast and lunch only kind of diner, with a big overall counter and maybe 12-15 tables. So it's small but they move tables quickly so any wait shouldn't be too long. Most of the people here are regulars but anyone will be made welcome. The menu has all the expected breakfast classics - pancakes, eggs, waffles along with hearty options like a smoked pork chop. Prices are CHEAP - most (very large) breakfasts are around $6. That's good because it's CASH ONLY. The Mister went for the smoked pork chop and I had biscuits and gravy and added a few eggs (cooked perfectly by the way). Not the best biscuits and gravy I've had but plenty good and even better for the price. Friendly staff, smoked pork chops, perfect eggs, total Wisco atmosphere - what's not to like?

We were visiting the area and ate there for Saturday morning breakfast based on reviews. The breakfast was delicious and lots of food. The servers were wearing mask but the were close together. They offer take out too so based on your comfort level you can choose what is best for you and loved ones. The waitress was friendly and refilled our drinks fast. Thank you for service!

It's from nearby Bernie's Fine Meats in Port Washington and it's probably the best bacon I've ever had.

First glance at the menu, I admit I was a little unsure. Lots of unique offerings, with the Grain Bowls, Plates, Greens & Grains being made with black rice or quinoa. The latter of which I am not a fan. Still, on my first visit, I decided to try the Thai Bowl. I ended up really enjoying the black rice. The roasted veggies were tender, and the thai basil pesto had a bit of spice to it, which paired wonderfully with the subtle sweetness of the curry. The portion size was perfect, satisfying me but not leaving me full. I also tried the Ginger Tepache, which was extremely refreshing and delicious. A wonderful alternative to Kombucha if that's not exactly your thing. The restaurant is bright and airy with bar, high top and table seating. I had to wait a couple minutes before someone took my order, but once that was taken my food was ready very quickly.

Recently ordered delivery from this location, and while the delivery arrival was 40 min late (to the fault of UberEats, not Forage), it was worth the wait. I had the Golden Greek plate, a first for me, which was packed with hot honey chicken, quinoa, roasted beens, and all of the makings of a med salad like tomato, cucumber, red onion, and tzatziki. Honestly so damn good, so damn statiating. Oh got their kombucha too which is a nice drink to pair. I'll be back :)

I had the spicy pork bugolgi with purple rice, mandu, and kimchi. The food tasted great! Very authentic and I love how they do not cater to the average joe. They kept it very real! The pork was very flavorful, rice was sticky and soft. Kimchi was crunchy and fermented. I've had plenty of Korean food all over the country and for a quick eatery that I don't have to sit down and can easy call for pickup. The food and overall service is remarkable. 5 starts and a A+. Wish it was a bit closer to north side Milwaukee but I don't mind the drive, better than going down town or down to Chicago. A definitely must try!!! Trust me bro. lol

There were several other small groups eating inside. Food: For lunch, I got the bulgogi, along with purple rice, mandu (dumplings), and mashed sweet potato salad. My wife got the honey garlic chicken, japchae, and sesame slaw. There were some really good parts and some that were disappointing and underwhelming. For starters, the hot (temperature) entrées weren't really hot. I would say everything was warm. It looked like they were keeping things fresh by only having a small amount in the warming trays, and maybe we got the last of it before another batch was made. Both of the main entrées had great flavor. The bulgogi was very tender, and the marinade flavors were delicious. The honey garlic chicken was also very good, but again suffered from only being warm. The mashed sweet potato salad was a nice surprise and was chilled nicely. The mandu (dumplings) were a bit bland and really needed a bit of soy sauce to add interest. Service: All of the folks who took care of us were very pleasant. They did a great job welcoming us as soon as we entered. We were unsure about some of the items, and they explained them clearly and gave us time to decide. You can order from a list of standard combinations or customize with a starch, protein, and sides. Easy peasy. Genuine smiles, and we felt appreciated. Atmosphere: The place is located in a small strip mall, with lots of natural light coming in through the large front windows. There are several tables and high-tops in the front, with additional tables toward the rear. It's easy to figure out where to go to order. The paper menus and menu board are easy to read, and there are placards that describe what you're looking at. If I came back, I would definitely get the bulgogi again and would just hope that it and the other items were served at a better temperature.

From visit on: 2/8/26 - late review!…read more My date and I were so excited to try the Eggs Benedict flight. We had reservations for Sunday at 11. Our server was very kind, great atmosphere in the place as well. We ordered a side of the potatoes and they came out nice and hot. Unfortunately, both of our Eggs Benedict flights were lukewarm at best, from the first bite. My date made a comment to the server and she offered to reheat. We initially declined but within a minute changed our mind. Our server was understanding and quickly brought over an extra flight (which I saw her bring from the heating lamps). This plate was also the same temperature. I really don't like to leave neutral or negative reviews, but it's unfortunate to spend money and have a less than par experience on the food we were looking forward to eating. We did take a small box to go and the crab cake heated up later was very delicious, but just not the same as if we had been given a hot meal to start at the restaurant. I've eaten here for dinner and was super impressed with the serving size, but I don't think I'd come back for brunch.
