Max, with Exposed stent to help drain abscess
Denise F.

I have loads of respect for the vet that works here, as she immediately took my 13 year old cat in with a facial abscess that wasn't healing, and recommended necessary dental surgery whilst he was under anaesthesia. I would have gladly given five stars except for the way the office staff handled our pick up visit. There was no aftercare instructions, nor advice for feeding a cat with no back teeth. (Thank goodness for Google.) I was simply handed a receipt for services (also no written aftercare Instructions), along with a cone I'll assume was needed to prevent my cat from taking out a stent left in his cheek to help drain the abscess. Seems a lack of proper training with the current staff.

HIGHLY recommend. Dr. Leigh and her staff genuinely care. They go the extra mile in everything they do. Dr. Leigh is incredibly knowledgeable and will take as much time as is needed with you to ensure you understand and that your questions are answered. Everyone there is very kind.

A swollen arthritic paw...
Stephen B.

After a pretty bad experience elsewhere, I took my injured cat (and traumatized) cat to see Dr. Leigh and it went so much better with very little aftercare. My cat was quiet and after getting his shot, he was calm and a bit more sedate. Once he got home, he was still comfortable and not stressed. I highly recommend this RCH because the doctors care and the staff is very nice. Always thankful for everything they do, especially their nail clipping service. So affordable and such a weight off my shoulders.

This was the second time I boarded my dog at this facility, and unfortunately, both visits ended with her coming home sick. After her most recent stay, she developed kennel cough. After her first stay, she came home with kennel cough and an eye infection. While I understand that illnesses can occur in any boarding environment, having it happen both times is extremely concerning. Health Issues This was the second time I boarded my dog at this facility, and unfortunately, both visits ended with her coming home sick. After her most recent stay, she developed kennel cough. After her first stay, she came home with kennel cough and an eye infection. While I understand that illnesses can occur in any boarding environment, having it happen both times is extremely concerning. Care Instructions and Facility Handling I was also disappointed that Duchess's care instructions were not updated during check-in. She is no longer a puppy and no longer chews, yet her paperwork still reflected outdated information. Because of that, she wasn't given the blanket or bed that should have been placed on top of her cot. This should have been caught and corrected by the staff during the check-in process. (I was also told I was unable to leave her blanket and toy from home, which should have been communicated at the time of reservation.) While watching the facility cameras, I also saw another dog placed in Duchess's room for a period of time, although I was never given an explanation as to why. Later, I learned that Duchess had been moved out of her room around midnight because the room needed to be painted. I was never notified that she had been relocated, and I found that very concerning. Communication and Monitoring Concerns To make matters worse, I was unable to access the cameras during the night. Around 3:30 a.m., I became worried because I couldn't see Duchess and had no idea she had been moved. I called the facility, but no one answered. As a pet owner, that was incredibly stressful and upsetting. Customer Service and Response When I called after bringing Duchess home to discuss everything that had happened, I was shocked by the manager's response. Rather than showing concern or empathy, I was told, "Well, you signed a waiver." While I understand that boarding facilities require waivers, a waiver should never be used to dismiss a customer's legitimate concerns or excuse poor communication and preventable issues. That response left me feeling that Duchess's well-being--and my concerns as her owner--were not taken seriously. Overall Experience Any one of these issues might have been understandable on its own, but taken together, they reflect a lack of communication, attention to detail, and accountability. I understand that boarding facilities care for many dogs and that no facility can completely eliminate the risk of contagious illnesses. However, I do expect accurate records, clear communication, transparency when changes are made involving my dog's care, and compassionate customer service when concerns are raised. After two disappointing experiences and two hefty vet bills, I can no longer trust this facility with Duchess and will not be boarding her here again. I hope this review encourages the facility to make meaningful improvements so that other families--and their beloved pets--don't have a similar experience. Our pets can't tell us what happened while they were away, so trust and communication are everything!!

I have not yet boarded with them. But my interactions with Diane have so lowered my anxiety level!…read more My dogs have an evaluation coming up in anticipation of a stay. I have either texted or spoke with 4 other places in my city and Paw Troopers are by far in the front running. Update- I won't be using PawTroopers after all. There was a breakdown in communication. They are kennel free and dogs are crated inside at night. I have big guys who are not crate trained and my old guy especially would not be happy surrounded by a bunch of happy dogs. He is a grumpy old man who likes quiet, unless it is his barking and long undisturbed naps. But I very much think Diane's place would be the perfect for most pups.

Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting. The facility advertises that "if concrete pens are not for you, then this isn't the place for you." In reality, what we experienced went far beyond that disclaimer. When we picked up our dogs or rather, when family had to retrieve them because we no longer felt comfortable leaving them there one of our dogs appeared noticeably dehydrated and in poor condition. It was heartbreaking to see. We became concerned that our dogs were being confined to cages for the majority of the day. When we asked the owners to provide any proof or documentation showing that our dogs were not kept in cages all day, they refused to provide anything. The attached text message exchange reflects that interaction. Our concerns became serious enough that we made arrangements for family members to pick up our dogs early rather than leave them at the facility for the remainder of our reservation. No pet owner should feel compelled to cut a vacation short or scramble to find someone to rescue their pets because they have lost confidence in the care being provided. To make matters worse, I had to argue with the owners to receive a refund for the unused boarding days after our dogs had already been removed from their care. A refund for services not provided should have been offered without hesitation. I cannot recommend this boarding facility based on our experience. We entrusted them with members of our family and were left feeling misled, frustrated, and deeply concerned about our dogs' well-being. Pet owners deserve transparency, compassion, and confidence that their animals are receiving appropriate care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Please don't take your pups here. They deserve better!

five stars all around! Martina is the best & my pup Steve loves her…read more I found Martina on Yelp--my now husband and I were going away for our destination wedding & we needed someone to care for our 13YO pup. I have never left him with anyone other than my parents / sister to care for him. Martina came over to our home for a meet & greet & Steve immediately took to her. He seemed comfortable and happy around her. We left him with her for just over a week & I felt so at peace. Martina posted plenty of pictures of Steve on her IG page so I was able to see what he was up to and he seemed to be having the time of his life over there. I was worried he would not want to come back home! Martina is awesome at communicating and is very pleasant to be around. I will never take Stevie anywhere else. Thank you for being so good to our old pup.

Martina & her pack were amazing!…read more We were nervous about leaving our girl Bailey with anyone but family, but we instantly knew it would be a good fit after the initial meet and greet. It takes a while for Bailey to warm up to humans but Martina allowed Bailey to warm up to her at her own pace. After the trial half day, we were excited that Bailey would be in great hands and would have friends to play with!! We left Bailey with Martina for a little under a week and we are so happy with the love and attention Martina provided Bailey. She was very professional and kept us updated every day, either through videos/photos on instagram or through text. Bailey looked so happy in all the photos and videos!!! If we could give more stars, we would. We would recommend Martina & Waggy Trails to anyone in need of pet sitting, day care, or dog walking. This was such an easy and great experience and we are so thankful to Waggy Trails for treating Bailey as one of their own!
