What a rip off. They tried to sell us a car, but they were very deceptive with hidden costs for after market items that were not disclosed. The additional cost brought the cost back up to the same amount as the MSRP. So, instead of getting a deal, it became a rip off. Then, after "seeing what they could do," the came back with a paper with $1,000 higher, and they used the excuse that they were going to include a 7-year service agreement that we said we didn't want in the first place. The third offer was even worse, so we walked out. What a waste of time with a dealership that is doing its best to take advantage of unwitting victims instead of selling cars honestly. We have found some reviews that mention a dealership with an honest salesperson that honors internet quotes. Do not go to this dealership. You will be subjected to hidden costs and pressure to buy things you don't need or want. read more

This dealership is incredibly unprofessional. Don't expect to be treated well post-purchase. Pre-delivery inspection is apparently non-existent or they are purposely letting issues go for the customer to deal with. The service department is disorganized and rude. Communication within the department doesn't happen, and they will barely communicate with you at all. Service advisors don't know what options they have for repairs nor will they know what was done to your vehicle. Repairs are done poorly, and when escalated, the manager will tell you they didn't agree to do the repairs anyhow. Expect to be price-gouged when you get a loaner car. The employees will brag about how much they overcharged you in front of other customers. Then they'll call you and ask for the loaner back while your car is still being worked on. Everyone we have interacted with at this dealership is clueless and unprofessional. read more

My wife and I came in to test drive a Mazda 6. I have purchased 10 cars in my life and have been on maybe 30 test drives. This review is of my experience with Angel, the agent who took us on our test drive. Angel told us he was going to drive first. I though he meant he was going to pull out of the parking stall then allow us to drive. But no, he drove for about a 4 mile lap through a great testing area. At first I thought it was weird that he was driving, but soon realized it was the best test drive I've ever been on. Angel knew everything about the vehicle. He explained and then performed the features on the vehicle. After his lap, he allowed my wife to drive and then me. Again, explaining details regarding the vehicle as we drove. After driving the Mazda 6, we walked to the Honda dealer and drove an Accord with a Honda sales agent. The youngster had no idea how things worked. He did not drive the vehicle at all...which is typical so I'm not complaining. But the agent did not say anything regarding the vehicle other than the occasional "How's it feel?" Regarding the test drive with Angel, it was my first time on a professional test drive. My wife and I are impressed by his demeanor, his professionalism and the fact he was not pushy. Why not 5 stars, we really want to give Angel our business but...the $4,649 dealer add ons that have been applied to the vehicle (which Angel explained are on all of their vehicles) is insulting to the customer...no fault of Angel's. We did not purchase yet, but we will find another dealership. read more

Just came into the dealership l, left within 10 minutes because our salesman was the most negative person ever. It was not a good experience and I think he should get a new job because if he's not gonna be fun and exciting and make me want to buy a car why is he doing sales? So this started off as a horrible review for a salesman, but after receiving a call from the GM Kirk, he profusely apologized on behalf of Riverside Mazda & was happy to hear my needs/wants in a new car, we were able to agree on a lot of things & left on a good note with them keeping an eye out for the car I wanted, as well as the price. The day after (Today) I received a call from the store manager Chris, and he was extremely helpful & again, happy to hear what I wanted in my new car & we were able to settle an agreement on the idea of purchasing a new car. We have an appointment with him tomorrow to hopefully go thru with the purchase & I'm happy that they were able to go out of their way to help with our situation & give us an idea for numbers that would work for us. RUN FOR THE HILLS. I REPEAT, RUN FOR THE HILLS. If I could give this dealership negative stars, I would. They don't deserve any stars for the way they lie, talk, and treat people. They are dishonest, rude, and talk to you in a condescending way. I went into the dealership with a quote in hand. They told me that if I showed up in person, they would know that I was serious about purchasing and therefore, would match my quote. LIES AF. They saw the quote, didn't honor it, AND wasted my time. I mean honestly, if you can't match it just say you can't match it. But don't point the finger and tell me you don't know where these numbers came from WHEN THEY WERE FROM YOUR OWN DEALERSHIP. Their sales manager Ricardo Ramirez was literally the worst. He was unfriendly and his attitude was poor. Before we left the dealership, he threw the quote I had right back at me onto the table and said, "you better take this piece of paper because the other dealership is probably going to add a bunch more numbers when you get there" and proceeded to talk trash about the other the dealership. CLASSY. I went to the other dealership and guess what... I got my ride. Quote honored. No BS. Smooth and sweet process. Don't even bother showing up at Riverside. This is an update to my last review and some additional comments that I think is worth mentioning. Although, I had my oil change done in 12/26/2019 and it is now 6/15/2020, it is worth mentioning that the oil change process went smoothly. I did have to wait a few hours and got a chance to drive a CX-5 loaner around, which was nice but not as nice as my CX-9. A thing worth mentioning which I am not too happy about is the fact that since I bought the car from them, I am supposed to receive a free oil change for my first service, but instead of doing that they use my paid oil change service plan first. The problem with that for me is the fact that I do not live in Riverside, I live at least 2 hours away. This means that I must come back to Riverside to receive my free oil change which is extremely inconvenient for me. (I can use my paid oil change service plan at any Mazda dealership). I am hoping somebody can fix this. The next point I want to mention is that I still keep in contact with Kirk from the dealership. He has become a great friend and I occasionally still ask him car questions regarding my CX-9. Kirk is very knowledgeable and a great guy where I will not hesitate to recommend him to anybody who is interested in buying from this dealership. In summary, besides that one little thing that bothered me, this dealership and Kirk is phenomenal. I am actually thinking of buying another Mazda from them soon as the rates are great right now. read more

We bought our 2017 Mazda CX-9 and sales was great. Fast forward to 12k Miles. I actually brought in the car 4 mos ago since the brakes were squealing and I was told not to worry about them since it's just brake dust. Forward to today- they were being "nice " to cover the front brakes since they just missed warranty. Now they want me to pay for the back brakes that's going to be $260. Can i say rip off? I haven't even had my car for a year!! I don't ride my brakes and I only travel 8 miles to work! This is my second car that I bought from this dealership. I was going to buy a third for our youngest daughter. But service has always been a letdown. I'll have to look for another mazda dealership then. Today is the last time I go to this place, I had property stolen while I had my car serviced for a simple oil change. Once I noticed that my property was taken I gave the benefit of the doubt that I might have miss placed the items, so as anyone would, I looked every crook and cranny of my car and house. But I did not find them after 2 hours of looking for it. My last option was to go there to talk to the tech and the advisors, asking if they saw the property that was missing and then talked to service manager; which lead to being lectured and having this man patronize me about not looking for my stuff right and not having proof that someone took it because it is my word vs theirs. I was nervous over the thought of buying a new car but I was very interested in a new CX-5. The team at Riverside Mazda made me very comfortable and never pressured. I was first contacted by Janay, who then turned me over to Jadon to then turned me over to Stevie. A little weird since I had to re-explain what I was looking for each time. Stevie is the man though, answering all my questions and staying with me while Chris tried to get me the best deal possible. Never made me feel like I was keeping him from something more important and seemed like a very honest person. Chris was also very friendly and tried to offer many options that fitted my needs. Mario was also very friendly and explained all the finance and insurance/registration paperwork very clearly. Eventually we were able to come to an agreement. The process did take a while (about 5 hours) and I couldn't actually take the car home with me that day. Apparently, the exact car I wanted was still being prepped (plastic and all factory seals still on it) and the crew responsible for that prepping doesn't work on Sundays. Maybe my own fault for trying to buy a car on Sunday since half the place is closed (banks, service department, etc.) but I feel like a dealership should always have the minimal people required at all times to get a car out to a customer since most people shop and buy on the weekends. It was a small hassle coming back the next day (since I had to work) to pick up the car but Stevie texted me with updates throughout the day and sent me photos of my car once it was cleaned up and ready. Finally got there around 6 pm and was promptly greeted by Stevie. He walked me through the car and I drove off a very happy customer. Maybe they thought I would try to negotiate the price if they just gave me the same online quote. So they made the final quote higher so I would begthem to put it back to the normal price. I purchased a 2017 Mazda 6 certified vehicle exactly a year ago vehicle ran rough from purchase reaching out to sales person from day 1. Fast forward to now, I took my vehicle in for multiple problems main one being engine knocking. Maintenance department recommends I replace engine yet despite being under manufacture warranty, extended warranty and certified warranty they refuse to replace unless every single maintenance record is provided from they day I purchased the vehicle. Yet never specified such when selling the warranty, that was more important than the customer experience all after being relayed that information from a very unprofessional service manager despite purchasing multiple vehicles and same time. My old CX-9's engine died on a Saturday. It was going to be a new engine that could take a month to get because of the supply chain problems. I spoke with a salesman and he said that they could get me into a new CX-9 that very day. I was at home and we did an online credit check and Stevie (the salesman)told me that he would deliver my new CX-9 that afternoon! He drove up in the new automobile, we did a test drive around Canyon Crest . We went to our kitchen counter and signed the contract that included the first year's service. My 2003 Mazda Miata cuts out when I'm driving it. I've taken it to several mechanics who fix things that don't help the problem. My original mechanic suggested I get the ECU or PCM changed. So I bought one online that turned out to be aftermarket and Mazda tried to make it work but it didn't. So I'm back to square one. First off, let me say that Nikki is AWESOME. I understand that my car needs work and I was warned that the part might not work in advance. So that part of this is NOT their fault. I was told that the PCM for my car was back ordered and that I need the immobilizer which is discontinued. So I'm trying to find it on my own. The problem is that I found it but I'm not sure what the exact part number is. I found a place that sells original Mazda parts and they gave me two other options besides the one I had ordered in the first place. Now I'm confused. I have requested the correct part number from Riverside Mazda THREE times now by email. They have not responded at all. All I get from them is offers for my car and offers to use my car for a down payment on another car. I just want my car. I do wish they wore masks. read more
