I bought Gap Insurance with my new car. A woman totaled my car. Portfolio, the Gap company for this dealer, denied my claim because I am a Door Dash driver. Now I am stuck with the loan amount not covered by my car insurance company. In other words, I was sold a useless Gap policy. And they knew I did Door Dash for my income to make payments on the car and they still sold it to me on false pretenses. If you buy Gap Insurance from this dealer or any dealer and you use your car for commercial purposes then you are wasting your money. Even if you don't use it for commercial purposes and you have a trade in with a negative balance, this Gap company, and I suppose all Gap insurance companies, will not pay all the unpaid balance. They will only pay a percentage of the gap amount. My advice is to demand the salesman or woman tell you exactly what amount will be covered in case your car is totaled. There are to many variables to go over to understand these policies. My opinion is Gap insurance is a scam. The best thing to do when buying a car put down half the purchase price and only drive the car 12,000 miles a year. Then and only then will you be covered by your car insurance company for the full value of the remaining loan. Get what ever you want to happen in writing before you sign. read more

My mother is an older lady, she went here for an oil change and used their services to get back home. Staff was very irresponsible when it was time for her to get back home. She went to ask for assistance when looking for her ride from the service they provide because she wanted to be sure she was going to the right car. The worker led her to an incorrect vehicle which was taking her to an unknown location. When my mom questioned the driver he was rude when my mother explained she did not live in that direction. He asked her what he wanted her to do about it and she then told him to take her back to the Nissan location. When my mother arrived back to the Nissan location she explained to the worker that she sent her to the wrong car, the worker didn't even apologize to her and just told her to sit down that her ride would arrive shortly. My mother asked for assistance to make sure she was getting in the right car in which the staff misdirected her. Staff should be more careful and mindful when directing customers. Safety should always be a priority in all services, this location seemed to lack that mentality they were careless and inconsiderate. read more

I went in looking for a used car. Greeted by a salesman who didn't know anything about his inventory or pricing, allowed us to test drive a car he said was in our ballpark only to come back later saying it was way out of our price range. When we did want to see a couple cars, they could not find them on their lot. We spent over an hour just sitting, all the while a customer at the front desk was having an argument with the manager (the only thing I heard yelled across the room was "bait and switch," not sure the details). I was hesitant to write a review because I wanted to let it go and move on but I want other people to know that this place is out to take advantage of you they took my car on trade in and scrwed me on that taking my car for 2k (2012 Nissan maxima) and he told me (Carl) that they would take it for 4K which was lie number 1 then he pushed me to get the new 2020 Altima after I told him numerous times I don't like it an I wanted a 2017 maxima that was listed on there site for 14k they then gave me numerous excuses why they couldn't give it to me saying it's not ready for sale but yet is was obviously for sale and so then after that (carl) took me out side to the lot to show me a 2017 Altima with 39k miles an had existing damages all around the car an rust under the hood asking $15,999 for that vehicle then (Carl) asked me if I liked the car an exact words I said was it's alright I had one like it an die not like it then we go back inside an he bring to the table some number for the car an some how the car became $25,659 for that 2017 Altima an they pushed me so bad to getting it and remind you i never got to even test drive the car an he said (Carl) "I'll hook you up no problem" an so I trusted him (biggest mistake in my life) an got that Altima so we're doing the paper work for the car an they tried screwing me on payments charging me 10% intrest and asking for an extra $1500 down just to take the junk home an the very next day I took that junk back an they gave me the biggest run around ever in my life to just take it back an give me back my car I traded in so I can go to a different dealership and story short they bought there junk back from me for $36,699 and gave me my maxima back these people are scammers and liars be careful with them cause they will put you in a hole! This review is for sales. Today my dad and I stopped by to look at used cars, although we have had a bad experience with this dealer before, we stopped there because it was close by. We were greeted by one of the sales guy, told him what kind of "used" car we were looking for and he took us on a hunt around the lot. No used cars for that model so we said thanks but we'll keep looking. Then he suggested a new car because monthly payments will be the same blah blah. Politely told the sales guy I work in vehicle sales as well and we're really looking for used. So as if I didn't understand he brought out his sales manager to talk to us and he said 6k-7k off the vehicle we were looking at no better deal anywhere. This last part was insulting as sales/finance manager, I don't need for someone to get me to understand numbers. My dad switches cars every year which is why we wanted a used car. It wasn't until I just got in my car and left, that the sales guy stopped talking about the benefits of getting a new car. Lol Way too pushy , way to desperate and if you want to sell a car same day build better relationship with the customer first. One star does not adequately describe my experience in the service department here this morning. I showed up for my scheduled appointment 10 minutes early and they preceded to tell me that I wasn't on their schedule. I was helped by a really passive aggressive "advisor" who pretty much told me he would have to keep my car for over 2 days and wouldn't be able to get me a rental despite my warranty that fully covers it. I feel that this place is extremely discriminating towards women. Extremely disappointed in their "customer service" if you could call it that. My review is for their service department and Nissan's flagship car, The Nissan GTR. I had scheduled a PPI over at Riverside Nissan on Monday and had the appointment for Thursday morning. Horrible experience at Riverside Nissan. I asked the certified GTR at Riverside Nissan to perform a PPI and inspect the car like he was going to purchase it himself. I handed him some cash before hand as a tip so he would do a good job. Then I asked him to give me a screen printout of the temperature logs and if he can tell me how many times the car has used R Start mode. He then told me he can't do that. He told me all he can do is a visual check of the car. I proceeded to show him on my phone some screen shots of the Consult III screens with the temperature logs. Then I asked him, can you provide me with these reports? He stated no. All I can do is take the wheels off, check the brakes, check the tire wear, etc. Well, at this point, I was upset with him and I asked him if he really is a Certified GTR Technician? Then he just stormed off. I believe his name is Buch. I knew at this point Riverside Nissan is not going to be any help to me or anyone in the GTR community. I was about to pay $360 for a PPI at this place. I just can't believed I tipped him in advance and he didn't do a thing. Oh well, sunk costs. At this point, I decided to call up Fontana Nissan, which I should have done in the first place. I asked if Chris was in and if I can schedule a PPI today. The service guy on the phone, Sean, told me he would call me back in 30min to see if they can do it. 40 minutes later, Sean gives me a call and told me to go ahead and drop off the car. I was in awe with this since I wasn't able to get an appointment with Riverside Nissan until 3 days later. Chris does the PPI and gives me the good news about the GTR along with the reports. The service desk even provided me with the POS service records for the car and the remaining warranty information. I saw the third one was not completed yet and asked Chris if he can do it. He told me no problem and he would need the car a little bit longer. After all of this was done, I gave Chris a Tip. Even though on Nissan's website it states Riverside Nissan is a certified GTR Dealership, their techs have no knowledge about Nissan's flagship car. How can you tell me you cannot use the Consult III system and pull temp logs from the car? I'm paying you $360 for you to kick the tires and visually check the car? Don't you think I measured the thread on the tires and the life on the rotors? Riverside Nissan is not a certified GTR dealership to the GTR community. Do not come to this dealership to service your GTR. Horrible experience. read more

This review is for the service department...mostly. Had my car serviced along with two air bag recalls and will not be coming back to this certain dealership. As I dropped off the car (2007 Nissan Versa with 158K miles), I told the service manager to please quote me for any repairs needed after the oil change service and the 50 point inspection is done. I told him this twice, because he kept mentioning getting the engine/air filter changed upfront. I said no please quote me after because you'll have to quote me for a tire pressure sender that I know is faulty from previous repairs (plus the tire pressure light on but 3 month old tires on) and a belt that most likely needed to be replaced due to the noise it makes while driving. I told him that I would be interested in getting the air/engine filter, tire pressure sender and belt changed all together I just needed a total cost. Upon arriving to pick the car up, I asked what repairs are recommended, the mechanic said "well we didn't do an inspection on your car just the oil change so I'm unsure". The service manager walks over and says there was a mix up and they would do an inspection right now. Fast forward 45 minutes later (I had dropped the car off at 7AM, received a ride to work, and got dropped off at the dealer from a coworker around 5PM, and by the time the inspection was done it was going on 6PM) and the same mechanic says nope there's nothing wrong with my car and no repairs are needed...Alright well what about the engine lights that are on in my car, plus the engine/air filter that you were pushing to me to get changed this morning? He say yea the lights just needed to be reset and everything else is ok. Fine. Go to turn on my car the next morning...both tire pressure light and air bag lights are on(which was supposed to be fixed with the recall). At this point I chalked it up to the dealership not wanting to work on an 11 year old car and that I would need to take it a certified Nissan mechanic closer to home to get better service. Three days later I receive a call and voicemail, "Miss Paul this is Alex from Riverside Nissan calling regarding your 2007 Nissan, please call as back as soon as possible". I'm thinking awesome they figured out their mistake and are now going to provide me with the follow up repair quote/recommendations. NOPE. I call Alex back and start venting about my frustrations regarding the service department and the service I received. He then tells me he has nothing to do with the service department and he's calling to see if I want a new Nissan because mine has over 150K miles on it....and I said no thanks, in the future I'll choose a Nissan but right now I just want to maintain the one I have and keep it for a couple more years. He then says "well if you had a new car it would have a warranty and you wouldn't have to worry about getting repairs". I was shocked by this response. With this logic I would need to replace my car every time the warranty expires just to make sure I wasn't worried about future repairs. Again told Alex I was not interested in getting a new car I just wanted to maintain my current one, he tells me ok to think about it. I get a call two days later from Alex asking if I had thought about our phone conversation... At this point with the lack of communication between the service manager to the mechanic to take a look at the tire pressure sender and belt, with the inspection being overlooked during time of pick up, with the mechanic rushing to finish the inspection and not quoting any follow up repairs, plus both engine lights coming back on the next day (tire pressure and air bag) and the inadequate response from the sales representative, I will not be going back there to fix my Nissan or purchase a new one. read more

Stay away from this place! Especially Jeff & his assistant sales manager, Danny. They are good at pulling the bait & switch (which is illegal). If you have a pre-approval, DO NOT let them run your credit for anything else / any other banks. Make sure they show you the paperwork after, check your credit monitoring to make sure they aren't lying. They get more money for higher interest rates and will screw you over if at all possible. They lied to me about where my credit was being ran through and intentionally made sure that I didn't get the car I applied for even though I was qualified. If this has happened to you, please message me! This shouldn't be happening to people. Lengthy story below: Drove out from San Diego and spent 3 hours of my time here looking at a car with my own pre approval. Told them up front about my pre approval, test drove and decided to move forward with advertised price within about 20 minutes. Danny comes out and gives me a high interest rate and wants a down payment of about $2000. Reminded that I had a pre approval and he says he didn't even know I had one and that he'll go back again and check rates with them. Comes back and tells me cap one has me at 7.9% due to car credit (my score is 763 through capi). Come to find out, they never even ran my credit through my pre approval. Of course, walked but went back to get the paperwork of what my pre approval rate came back as and they say they don't have it and make up excuses and say they didn't run my credit, i told them I already got notification that they did. They then said they ran it to their own bank only and that was the rate. They have the car advertised at $15,999 - price on sticker $22,000. Pretty sure it was a scam / lure and they were trying to make $$$ by giving me higher interest rate and not going through my pre approval / bank. Hopefully one of the higher ups can give an explanation or rectify the situation tomorrow but would not recommend anyone spending their precious time coming here. The listed price is only to get people in, they have no intention of giving you the deal, even with a pre approval. Will be reaching out to bbb first thing in the morning. They told me to my face that was my banks rate with pre approval when they never even went to my bank. Update - they called this morning after they ran my credit through capital one (which was what they were supposed to do last night) and surprise! I was approved at the terms of my pre approval and they could offer it to me at the price I asked for with my pre approval last night. Was going back and forth with Jeff, the sales guy about delivering due to inconvenience and didn't hear back for about 30 minutes. Called to follow up and was told the car was magically just sold. Take your business elsewhere, it really seems like these people are scamming customers. Will be reporting everywhere I can think of so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more
