We came in 20mins before they opened so we can be one of the first patients. They come out and count the cars in the parking lot and take no consideration who got there next. This was our last visit for sure and that's that my dog didn't even get seen we spent an hour before having to go into work because their work hours are that of retired people's schedules... just be aware.

Then during COVID, it was fine that they would just come out and get my pet for service. I didn't mind because of everything going on. Those were some rough times, aye? But then things got a bit weird. Dr Campbell seemed to be gone but his website was the same. My mom said there was another vet there but things just felt weird and then, my poor little dog suddenly had a very painful medical issue and needed to gently be put down. Her condition wouldn't get better and was extremely painful. So I called our vet...and they would only let one of us in with her and they couldn't see us fast enough. I'm grateful that they were willing to let anyone at all in them but we needed two people able to go in. Either way, they couldn't see her fast enough. So I had to take her to one of the emergency hospitals. I didn't want to do that but they were amazing. That's a whole other review. Great, now I have to go see if I've reviewed that place or not already! Back to College Way... I recently got my service dog who's been in training for me for two years since he was a puppy. He's a VERY bouncy Goldendoodle. His passion in life is to chase tennis balls and then chew them up afterwards and then I get to throw them away before they get completely shredded. Well, he started to be less bouncy. He went out with my son to chase a ball but they were only gone a minute. He'd chased one ball and then turned around and wanted to come back in. Clearly he doesn't feel good. We've been going to Cedardale Vet to see the incredible Dr Leslie Pollock. There's another review I need to make! But she doesn't take appointments and she doesn't do in-depth stuff. I talked with her and decided that he probably needed deeper testing so I took him to College Way after finding that their website was completely revamped. There were new vets that folks seemed to like although some complaints about them adding stuff just for it to cost more. Well, let me tell you. First off, they got him right in. Secondly...I'm going to guess that anyone having issues with their front desk people is probably bringing attitude of some kind with them because throughout all the years from Dr Campbell to the now...the front desk people have always been top notch. Thirdly, maybe this is in response to previous complaints but the new people tell you pricing for every single step along the way and get your permission to move forward. Every. Single. Step. I have never had anywhere be as careful as they were. We saw Dr Pecaro and she was wonderful! She was gentle, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loves the animals she's working on. She got my poor puppy on the way to wellness. He's got his silly bounce back already and I am very grateful! So while I had some hesitancy when things were a bit odd, I am feeling pretty good about taking my servicedoodle there whenever he needs in-depth care.

I doubt it. I fell for it because they were supposed to be VETS AND take care of My Dogs. They're not supposed to run up unnecessary charges for things that are not necessary. Not only did My Dogs molar try likely NOT need to come out, they didn't even clean her teeth properly. I had to have them re-clean in less than a year. I also had to have a series of vaccinations done on both of my dogs which cost full price for three years rabies vaccination that I told them I wanted instead they gave me the one-year vaccination. I had to have that redone by my normal good vet in less than a year. I HATE THESE PEOPLE !!! Don't go there !!! I got my dog out of that office and immediately noticed that her teeth cleaned at all paid almost $3000 for unnecessary surgeries teeth cleanings and vaccinations that had to be redone in less than a year. Recently, my littlest cat was acting very weird and stopped eating over a period of a few days. I thought it might be because of the heat wave we were having at the time, but when she got increasingly lethargic and started hiding, I got worried and called Chuckanut Valley. They got us right in! After quite a bit of poking and prodding, not to mention a full panel of tests, it was determined that my cat was likely just hot. It was a pretty expensive diagnosis, but I was relieved it wasn't something worse. The doctors and staff here are always so loving and kind. And while their prices are definitely premium (aren't all vets?) I do appreciate they have prescription meds on hand when I need them for my pets, and offer discounts if you offer full diagnostic panels. I am so happy to have found them!

Every staff member I encountered was kind, friendly, patient, and helpful. One thoughtful woman went out of her way to bring a bowl of water for my dog (who was not the animal needing care but could not be left at home alone). The doctor who saw my injured cat was generous with his time, answered my questions thoroughly, and had a good sense of humor. Staff members did their best to make sure I did not miss my return ferry and even gave helpful advice on where to find a decent latte at the crack of dawn. When it came time to pay I was expecting a bill in the mid four digits- after all, this is ER care at 3am on a weekend- but the total was shockingly low! I even asked if they had forgotten to add in his bag of meds! The fact that affordable, quality emergency care like this exists is deeply heartening. I took my dog here and she stayed for six days...she had diabetes from pancreatitis. She did not eat the whole time because they refused to offer her what I told them she would eat. She starved and lost even more weight. When I got her home she could no longer walk and was pooping and peeing uncontrollably. They never addressed the pancreatitis nor did they tell me she had an ulcer in both eyes from everything going out of control. They sent her home in worse condition than what I sent her in with! I paid $7110 for them to neglect her. Send her home worse. And not address any problem she had. I just took her to another local vet (SMOKEY POINT ANIMAL HOSPITAL)when we got her home and he immediately started treating her for all her issues. Antibiotic drops for her eyes. Serum drops with her own blood were made to try and repair her eyes as much as possible, as it could be too late and she could be blind. He took a test to see how her overall glucose has been over the last two months and it showed severe pancreatitis. He gave her a ten day fierce antibiotic injection so she didn't have to take pills and irritate her stomach more. My registered companion dog that I have had for twelve years is still living and on her way to recovering with the care of this new doctor, and all for $500 and check ups every week for $50. Please do not take your dog to this place. They care nothing about fixing your dog. Only the money. And they call you every day and make you panic with a price. I am so dissatisfied with how insensitive some can be. I am in debt $7110 now for nothing that they did. Again. I do not recommend this place.

Our Auggie broke his leg and the after care that Dr. Squibb has shown us throughout our pups recovery is hands down the best! He has always been up front and I feel that he has always been very honest with us, which is A HUGE plus. The only thing I would say needs work are the front desk ladies some times they're rude, and some times they have unnecessary snarky attitudes (not all of them-but some of them and when on the phone they don't fully listen. One of them complained about another employee right in front of me, which I found very unprofessional on their end because my interaction with that specific person, actually was very helpful and I had zero complaints about her. If you have personal feelings about co workers, they should really keep their eye rolling and unnecessary comments to themselves. The front desk is the first point of contact with the public and they really do make the first impression for NCVH. Other than that, hands down, we recommend NCVH.
