We met friends at Riverwalk for its Sunday Brunch yesterday. The food was spectacular. My husband was blown away by the smoked salmon Benedict. Personally, the shrimp and grits kept my attention. The experience is definitely a redo.

Do you know what happens when people are sitting for over ten minutes at a table and not a single server comes over to the table? Customers leave. There were two other servers that were helping the two tables around us but nothing. Zip. And it wasn't like they were busy with the exception of the eight at the one table that just got their appetizer. Very disappointed!

    no mention of 20% gratuity

I had quite an experience today at Riverwalk during Easter brunch. The buffet was just okay, but the real issue came when we received the check, which included a mandatory 20% gratuity. This gratuity was not disclosed on the restaurant's website, the menu, or anywhere else during the reservation process. When we asked our server about it, she said, "It's on the menu online." We informed her that it was not and showed her there was no mention of a 20% gratuity. She went to get a manager, but when she returned, she claimed that the manager wanted us to know about a notice regarding the gratuity at the entrance. We explained that this was never disclosed when we made the reservation and couldn't be found anywhere on their website. The server acknowledged that this was true and mentioned that she and other staff had raised this issue with management, but they were dismissed. As we were leaving, a man in management or ownership approached us and asked how the buffet was. We voiced our concern about the undisclosed 20% mandatory gratuity. He insisted that it was disclosed on the menu and website. We showed him that it was not, and his response was simply "and?" and then "okay." When we continued to express our problem with the situation, he repeated "and" again. I eventually told him it was crap not to inform guests about the gratuity in advance. His response was, "Oh, you think so?" He then stared at me blankly, stood in my way as I tried to leave the table, and I told him to move. As we were exiting, he said, "Leave." I replied, "That's where we're going." He then said, "Good, and never come back," and followed us all the way to the exit. This man was wearing blue, had glasses, short brown hair, and was in a management or ownership position. He seemed offended that his questionable practices were brought to light and acted unprofessionally, appearing somewhat unhinged and looking for a confrontation. This is how weak and insecure people behave. Additionally, other guests voiced similar concerns regarding the 20% gratuity not being disclosed when they made their reservations. I have been informed that the man I interactes with was Sid, the owner. Didn't expect this behavior from an owner.

I had high hopes for this restaurant as there were many tasty-sounding options on the menu, it had a fun cocktail list, and it was in a beautiful location next to the water. And while my meal was "fine"--it didn't quite match my expectations. The champagne cocktail was pretty watered down, the scallops were overcooked, and seating wasn't available outside even though it was sunny and warm. My server was lovely and I would go back again to try some of the other delicious-sounding dishes...but it will need to prove itself.

Beautiful location for this lovely restaurant! Nestled along a beautiful strip of eclectic shops and glorious hydrangea gardens. Pure white lambs ear hydrangeas adorn every corner! Lovely water view and yes!, a lovely server as well! Friendly, and welcoming. Food is good. Ambience is great! Definitely worth the drive!

Service, food, wine, and ambiance (inside and the river view) are all very highly recommended. Good prices on wines.

The view was great but unfortunately, all our meals were underwhelming, under seasoned and a bit over priced.

Wow! What an amazing experience…read more We were visiting from Texas and decided to find a restaurant near the waterfront. We stumbled upon this place by accident and we're so glad we did! The hostess was friendly and seated us by a window with a great view. Our server, Jessica S., was fantastic--friendly, upbeat, attentive, and genuinely made our visit enjoyable. An unexpected bonus was that we happened to be seated next to her parents, who were having lunch there as well. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The food portions were enormous! We thought Texas portions were big, but these were even larger than what we're used to back home. Best of all, the food was absolutely delicious. We only wish we lived closer so we could come back more often. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. And if you can, ask for Jessica--she's amazing and truly made our experience memorable! Jessica - you rock!

The food came out in a timely manner was served hot and fresh! Very delicious!!! The ambiance is very casual. I'd definitely come back!!

My obsession with quotes started in high school where I would scribble them all over my notebooks and folders. So in honor of my bday weekend, my inner teen got a gift too. Admittedly, we came here for the quotes and the apple nachos so I can't speak much to the food other than we split some fried ravioli, a rack of ribs and a side of mac & cheese that were absolutely delightful. As for those apple nachos, they almost hit the perfect mark and could've done so with a drizzle of caramel. Our waiter was eager to accommodate us and grab us some caramel, but we told him never mind just a suggestion to the Chef. The ribs were cooked perfectly fall off the bone with not too much sauce and that mac & cheese was divine. Service was on point, food delicious, and ambience - perfection. Highly recommend, especially if you're vacationing in Williamsburg it is a unique treat that you won't find anywhere else.

Not sure how to describe the vibe- clean modern feel with a touch of cozy here and there - like the sofa when u first walk in. Pros: Cool sofa for waiting on a table or maybe cocktails? Krista was our server and she was delightful. Friendly and helpful - let us know her favorites and got our order in quickly since we couldn't take too long. Nice cocktail selection and even better range for apps and mains. Loved the ahi tuna flatbread!! Our favorite of the apps. Could have ordered for dinner and left very happy since it cost less too lol. Seared scallops were delicious- the sauce and fresh corn were amazing. Shrimp and grits had an impressive depth of flavor and the spinach and tomatoes were a unique addition. The black bass was also very good. Cons Prices on the higher side even for a fancy restaurant in Richmond. Didn't love the complimentary bread and butter: I appreciated trying to make the butter something unique- going for savory and sweet the white chocolate and herbs but the white chocolate didn't really work for us as an ingredient. Felt like the bread should've been crusty for butter like this and not the soft rolls they served. Didn't care for the pork belly appetizer. Instead of being crispy, it was just tough.
