My friend and I went to Rivian in El Segundo today for a test drive and everything couldn't have gone better. We found the building and parked easily, then were met outside even when we were early which was cool. The entire introduction to Rivian was casual, pressure-less and comfortable so felt great for a car buying experience. Everything was thoroughly explained, legal things covered, and off we went for a test drive. Great car, great experience and Rivian has a great CEO. For fellow Tesla drivers looking for alternatives, Rivian's CEO is known for humility. The 2027 R3 is going to be out q4 of 2026 for those looking for a smaller SUV than their current trucks and huge SUVs at about 45k. Omg they made me into sounding like a sales person! lol Great experience here today and I'm going to keep monitoring R3's progress the next couple years.

First time bringing the riv to get serviced. I am quite pleasantly surprised at how easy this was! Oscar checked me in, and since they were out of loaner cars he got me set up with a rental. He kept me up to date on where my car was in line and how long it would take. I dropped off the rental at Rivian, they washed my car and she's looking good as ever. I was also surprised at the cost for some of the service items. Wanted a multi point inspection and tire rotation and together it was like $250 or so and honestly I was expecting a lot more. Exceptional customer service.

Everything about Rivian is superb from customer service to speaking with expert techs, to getting a loaner or rental if needed.

We came to this Rivian Service Center in El Segundo on May 29, 2024 because it was the only nearby location that had our specific building for a 2023 R1T (it was on sale due to it being a 2023 model). Our experience at this service center was positive overall. Our assigned delivery guide, Jason, was very friendly & professional throughout the entire pickup process. There was a slight hiccup with our lease terms being finalized, which resulted in a delayed in picking up the vehicle. We spent a total of 90-100 minutes at the location instead of the 45 minutes that were originally allotted. The service from all the employees we interacted with weee also very positive. The customer lounge was very comfortable and welcoming. It felt like being in someone's hip living room. They provided complimentary coffee & boxed water. The restroom was also very clean. Overall, this is a great service center, but we will likely be going to the Eastvale location if we need service in the future since we live in Ontario.

Rene is an awesome service writer, he is the reason that this location is getting five stars. Jaime is an excellent technician who goes in depth explaining things to the customer. Rene always goes above and beyond, when a mistake occurs, he is sure to fix it, and ensure that the customer is treated well. Since my car is still under warranty, I cannot comment to the cost of maintenance. Although everything seems to be reasonable.

I, of course, told her that I don't hear anything (wishful thinking on my part). So I take it in to Torrance Motors without an appointment and ask if they could take a quick look at it to verify it is still safe to drive, as we had a long upcoming trip in a few days. They right away put it up on the lift and verified that it was safe to drive. However, the control arm, tie rods and bushings (leaking grease) were shot. Showed me the pictures and it was a mess. This level of repair was not cheap...but it was reasonable. No more complaints from my wife...at least about the car.

The alignment was slightly off at first, but they told me to bring it back and got it dialed in perfectly the following day. They stand behind their work and even told me to come back if anything needed to be re-torqued after the suspension settled. The results came out great. The stance looks much better with the factory rake reduced, and the ride quality still feels smooth and OEM-like. No noises, vibrations, or issues afterward. The vehicle drives straight and handles great. Professional service, quality work, and solid communication throughout the process. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a clean leveling spacer install done right.

He thoroughly explains the work to be done, any options and tries to find economical solutions. He's caring, professional and provides great customer service. Repairs When the mechanics repair something, it's fixed. I have never had to return. They are very skillful. They fixed a tricky problem with a headlight at a fraction of the cost others quoted. Honest Herbert is honest. He doesn't do unnecessary repairs. For example, Once I had a rattle whenever I started the car. He found a rock in the exhaust pipe and removed it. Body work I recently took my car in for some body work, The cost of the repairs was less than I expected. The car came back looking like new and the paint matched perfectly. Beautiful! Herbert was a big help for me with getting my 2016 Honda accord touring fixed. I had taken it to…read moremultiple mechanics AND the dealer, and no one could tell me exactly what my issue was and just be straight with me. I had an emissions system issue that gave me the code 'P0139'. The first mechanic I took it to last year told me that it was a simple o2 sensor issue (rightfully so considering the code I was getting), yet when he replaced the sensor, the light continually came on. So he replaced it again, and replaced another o2 sensor on the vehicle (according to him). When none of that worked, he told me that my catalytic converter was faulty, and that I was going to have to pay roughly 8k for a new one. Safe to say I didn't believe him, nor did I stick around and simply take his word for it. I started making calls and, at first, genuinely believed that I was going to have to come up with the 8k by summer 2026 (when my smog inspection was due). I thought at one point I was sold a faulty vehicle too and even tried to receive compensation for the error. Turns out that wasn't the case, and even if it was, there wasn't much I could about it anymore. I took it to others who quoted me ridiculous prices for a simple diagnostic, I took it to others that just simply couldn't tell me what was wrong, and then to make things more confusing, the light would go on and off and would even go off long enough for me to pass smog!!! (Even though the first guy I went to said my catalytic converter was bad). Then, I looked online and found Master Tech. Great reviews, great location in the South Bay (Torrance), and fair pricing. Diagnostic was about 160, which would go toward repairs if needed, and if they couldn't find the issue I'd pay zero dollars! When I first got there, already Herbert pointed out things no mechanic pointed out before. I was told and under the impression that all my sensors were new and changed... they weren't. He also informed me that my vehicle was an American built one (not Japanese or Canadian, which I heard can make all the difference in quality). That's information that, although wasn't a huge concern, let me know that this guy paid attention to detail and really cared about what he was doing. He then told me to leave it with him later on in the week so he could give the vehicle TLC (tender love and care), and to be comfortable with not having my vehicle for a couple days (wasn't a problem at all). Eventually he gets back to me after a day and lets me know that the sensor had to be changed out with an oem one, as the previous mechanic put in an aftermarket one. On the day that I picked the car up and paid for the install, we both hopped in and took it for a ride, and the engine was running smooth like butter now. No more rich running (causing my gas to burn faster), and no more harsh shifting. He then hands me over the old sensor and informs me that I should go get my money back from the other mechanic. It turns out, the other guy was trying to screw me over (surprise, surprise!), whereas Herbert was honest and righteous. The piece the other mechanic put in was a Bosch sensor, made specifically for German made vehicles. Smh. It was for VOLKSWAGENS and the like ONLY. He was just trying to get me to pay him thousands, and perhaps allow me to further damage my engine and transmission from the issues he was forcing my vehicle to go thru for the time that it wasn't working properly due to a lazy, incompatible o2 sensor. I was relieved that I found Herbert who was able to help me and install the correct piece for a fair price (443 roughly, as opposed to the almost 700 dollars the dealer would've tried to charge me). I like his style, and he is definitely a righteous mechanic. Thank you bro!
