So first and foremost: I did not buy from here nor have I used the service department. However, I am strongly considering it based on my (one time) experience and here's why: My partner and I are about to be in need of a new vehicle as my 2010 Toyota is starting to have issues that are more expensive than they're worth to fix. We still have life in it, though, so we're not in a hurry to take on a new car payment. I had long assumed I'd just go with another Toyota Tundra, but I read an article in the Detroit Free Press (Go Lions! #DetroitVsEverybody) that reviewed the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Hybrid. It was an amazingly glowing review. While out and about one day, the subject came up and, having nothing else to do, we headed over to the dealership to see if they had one we could check out. As it was, Roberson Motors had Wrangler Rubicon on-site that was a hybrid. It was a top of the line model with pretty much every feature, but the bones of it were what we wanted. Upon arrival, we were immediately approached by a young man who introduced himself as Hayden. He asked what our purpose for stopping by was and, when we told him, he led us directly to the 2024 Wrangler EV model that we were hoping to look at. We took a brief walk around the vehicle and when I asked to do a test drive, he went inside and was back out within a couple of minutes with the keys. He tossed me the fob and said, "Knock yourself out." I'm not reviewing the vehicle so I'll leave that out. However, my partner (who'd driven a few Jeeps in her life over some pretty rough roads) commented that the noise volume was much less than she remembered. She asked if we could extend the drive a bit and go on I-5 where we could really see what freeway noise was like. Hayden responded enthusiastically and we took off. The whole ride, my partner and I talked back and forth about various features and what we thought, but Hayden didn't interrupt or try to sell us on anything. He just hung out and answered any questions we had. Impressively, when he didn't know an answer, he told us right away he wasn't sure, then looked up the information before responding. I really appreciated that, quite a bit. When we got back to the dealership, my partner excused herself momentarily and I hung back with Hayden. He asked where we were in our car search and I told him we were literally in the first day of considering our options. He asked my thoughts on the Jeep and, while I liked it, the trim level was significantly more than I really wanted (including the price). Hayden's response was to immediately go and look up if any other models were slated to come in, with fewer features. He came back almost immediately with several options and offered to text me the information when they arrived. Now, I realize that this was one way to get my customer info on his phone, however he didn't try to do the ole "what will it take to get you into this car today..." kind of thing, nor did he try to talk up the ultra-features on the car on-site. But here's what really stood out to us, and what will bring us back to Roberson Motors, and Hayden in particular, if we choose to go the Jeep route. My partner had some questions on various features and models. Every question she asked, Hayden looked her directly in the eyes and answered them. He didn't talk to me, he didn't downplay, and he didn't talk superficial features only. So many times my partner, who is small and very feminine, will try to talk to salespeople and she'll get the "little lady" treatment. This has happened at gun stores, archery rangers, car dealerships, health clubs, gyms, everywhere. Hayden answered her, not me, and was thorough and complete with the answers to her questions. Later I sent Hayden a quick text, thanking him for his time and asking him to keep me informed when the new models get in. He responded fairly quickly and that was that; I haven't had a sales call from him yet and it's been a few weeks now. He really seemed to respect that we were not in the mood to buy yet, but still took the time to answer all your questions for the time when we are. He also treated my partner like a customer, not an accessory, and that's more rare than some people would think. I've noticed a lot of negative reviews for the service department, and I can't speak to that. I never use dealership service departments myself anyways; I have several good mechanics for whatever services I need that aren't dealer-related. However, when we get more serious about car buying, and when we more actively compare Jeeps to the other vehicles we're interested in, I'll definitely be contacting Hayden and ask to set up a time to work with him. read more

Brought my car in for a safety recall repair. 10 o'clock appointment, got there 9:30. They told me the work for this recall was a time consuming repair and I would be there a good portion of the day. They pulled the car into the work bay. An hour later I go for a walk and see my vehicle across the street in their auxiliary parking lot. I went in and asked about this and was told that a 10:00 appointment only means that they'll check you in about that time and nothing more. So they had driven my car in the front door only to drive it out the back. My car was not returned to the service area until around 2:30 and various excuses were given,(waiting for the right technician, don't have a lift available yet). They finished the job at 4:00 ( it wasn't a time consuming, difficult job after all). They knew from the start that they would not even start on my car until mid afternoon. This is specifically about the service department. I have had the misery of using them a few times now and I would love to say that I have been satisfied , but a more accurate word would be enraged. I don't think it takes 5 hours to do an oil change and tire rotation. I left one car with them for three days and they hadn't even touched it when I called to check on progress. For context dropped of my truck for service at 9:30am didn't hear anything after a few hours so I sent them a text for an update, they replied that there was nothing to update at the moment so I said okay. It took them just shy of 3 weeks to complete repairs. I'll give them a little grace since one part was delayed in shipping, and I'll give Alex credit for mostly keeping me updated during that time. The major issue: they clearly damaged my bumper while removing it to complete the repairs. Not only is there a crack, but also fracture lines in the paint. I reported this immediately, and hours later they called me claiming they had "noted the damage" when my vehicle was first brought in. I call absolute BS. My vehicle has never been in an accident, fender bender, or even a curb scrape. Then they doubled down and said the manager saw it on arrival, yet that same manager doesn't answer calls or return voicemails. Wild how none of my paperwork mentions any damage, and nobody said a word during the entire process. Adding notes after the fact to cover themselves is shady and dishonest. This vehicle was purchased through them along with the extended warranty they sold me. Imagine a dealer charging such premium labor rates that the service contracts they sell don't even cover their own rate. If they're going to pay themselves premium rates, repairs should be completed on time and vehicles should be returned in the same condition, or better, not damaged. Instead, I got premium pricing, zero accountability, and my car back with damage. Fix one issue to create another... Guess thats their idea of job security. And if management shows up on this review claiming they have "no record" or that the damage was already there: double-check your own records. I've already called. I've already asked for proof. Produce the original notes and photos from drop-off, not backdated, adulterated paperwork added after the fact. I'll be reporting this experience to every outlet I can to save someone else the headache. Roberson will never get my business again, on either sales or service. I would never use their service department again. I had my truck in there and they told me on day 1 that it would be an internal and external seals to fix an oil leak. They said 12-13 days. After 7, they called and told me they fixed the external one but the internal one will now need to be fixed, which we knew from day one, but now will have to tear the whole thing apart again. They also then told me that they would have to replace a timing cover and that wouldn't be covered by my warranty. After a lot of back and forth, the service rep, Bryant, told me that they discovered that the old one would actually still work and that I wouldn't be charged for a new one. After tons of back and forth I switched to a new rep in Logan, who was great to work with. After 3 weeks of my truck being in there, it was finally done. I went to pick it up and they did end up changing the cover and it ended up costing me close to $1000, even though I was told it wouldn't need to be replaced. I just paid it because I wanted out of there. I then went to my truck and noticed a small dent on my rear bumper. Logan came out and took pictures of it and said he'd run it up the chain of command. I left but 5 minutes later got called to come back so his managers could look at it. They looked at it and said "I don't think we would have done that. but you can get a hold of your insurance and they'll contact ours." Of course, by doing that, I'd end up with a claim for a dent that I know wasn't there when I took it in. The manager felt that since there was dust/dirt on the bumper that it had to be old. They had the truck for 3 weeks. Dust/dirt probably occurred for the 3 weeks the truck was sitting behind their shop. The only positive I've had in there is Logan and the sales reps who we had just bought a different truck from who kept hounding them to get my truck finished. read more

Our salesperson was fantastic. However, every experience after that with Robersons has been terrible. We bought a brand new 2024 vehicle from them last year. Most recently, we have a couple of warranty issues we have brought to their attention and the person assigned to our case has given us radio silence for over two months now. We have tried to call him directly, reply to the text update that he gave us in June and call the dealership directly and can't get a response. I've even tried asking if anyone else at Robersons can give us an update on our two claims and no one seems able to help. Incredibly frustrating. read more

They take months to get you in for an appointment. The service dept doesn't return calls. Ive waited months to get recall work completed. I was told I was #7 on their waitlist but that's just a cover story as they don't really have a waitlist. After two months of being on their "waitlist" I asked the service writer where I was on the list now they started deflecting the conversation. Finally I called another dealer 50 miles away and they were able to secure the part and make me an appointment in one call. It's like this every time you try to get a service appointment. 2-3 month wait and hopefully they don't need parts. read more

The most dishonest shop with the worst customer service in the US. GOING TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT the body shop changed my radiator, while doing so pulled my lines to my ac, at the condencer, spraying freon everywhere. Then it went to the service department for an oil change and to be test for an oil leak, for the engine recall I got the jeep back that night, and nobody said anything. Picked up the fob from sales. The ac had no freon it was all sprayed out. Drove 3.5 hours the next day, figuring it should be OK. Thought i herd a hiss from under the dash​. After about an hour, I started getting sick. Thought there was a funny smell and I started getting sicker, finding it hard to breath and got a giant headache. I'm thankful the engine started to overheat and I drove it home, or I would have tried to push through. When freon gets to 65 degrees it boils, which caused most of it to vaporize. Got home and found the freon everywhere, pictures included. In case your wondering how much freon I was exposed to I have a picture of the new cabin filter I just installed before I took it in, next to another new one I had to change it with. They have called me a liar, saying it wasn't working when I brought it in, also tried to tell me it was an engine oil leak ... no leak per their test. They tested my ac system and it held a vacuum proving it didn't leak, but changed my ac components anyway, charging me $1955 I've had to call my Dr and they connected me to poison control and was told I have symptoms of freon poisoning. I also had a cold that exasperated to pneumonia from freon exposure that I've been sick with since I drove it read more

Went in for a simple fix to my check engine lights it's a o2 sensor on a 2012 dodge so it's quite annoying to fix. Service advisor said they would not clear the codes because they would just pop back up. Now I understand that but it's something they have always done. When asked why they wouldn't I was told I was causing a scene and asked to leave service advisors then escorted me to my car trying to apologize for the way they acted. I recently had three encounters with Jeep Service and all three were bad. They are rip off and con artist. 1st- Took my 2017 Grand Cherokee in to have a liftgate latch replaced. This is a 100.00 part and was charged 750.00 to replace it. When I went in to pick up my car, I said "riddle me this, why would a 100.00 part, that I could have replace myself cost 750.00/" He said "because you didn't do it yourself." hahaha, laughs on me. 2nd time. I took my wife's 2017 Renegade in for a check engine light issue. At the end of the day I was charged 600.00 for a battery. I asked what the battery had to do with the check engine light, and he said that since the car was 4 years old the battery would go bad soon. The check engine light was caused by the thermostat. I explained that I didn't bring the car in for preventative maintenance and I felt this was wrong and he said the Robersons are a Christian family, WHAT? Last night was my 3rd and final, ever trip back to them. 500.00 for a thermostat that cost 69.00. I am done with Roberson and suggest that nobody ever go in for any reason. read more

We are an active duty family so we've lived in many states and bought cars in nearly all of them... every single time having a duty station address in the state where we're living (currently Sonoma County, CA) and a "home of record" address back in OH (which is on my DL). I spoke with April and she answered most of my questions, told me about some tape on the side view mirror and then put me in touch with Josh #1 to talk to me about the shipping, etc. April told me to call her back or text with any further questions but she did not return or answer any later texts or phone calls. Josh #1 took over, talked to his "manager" about the price and asked us if we would be a buyer at $16,000. We agreed to that only for him to return with a price of $17,000. So, his business manager asked about $16,000 only to come back and say- "our price is $17,000". It was so offensive that we almost stopped talking to them then. We finally agreed on the $16,000 and we were set. Maggie mailed documents to be signed to us without letting us know. We travel a lot and so our mailing address is a post office box at a UPS store so that someone can sign for our packages. Because we live so far, we visit the box when people tell us they are mailing items. You know, like most people and businesses do? It was a holiday weekend so by the time we actually received the paperwork, it was three additional days before we could send it back. (The bank won't release the check to the dealership until the paperwork is signed). Please note: we have bought cars before in this situation with zero issues with the signing of paperwork because it's scanned and emailed. We were under the impression the paperwork was being emailed. In fact, it was when we called to find out why it had not been received that we were told it was mailed. Simple miscommunication? Sure. But hold tight, Maggie will be back in this story. A mechanic randomly called to tell us that they replaced the battery and when we asked about the tape on the mirror- Literally, "uh, no. I can't say that I know what that is about." Everything finallylooks settled. "The transport company will be in touch..." The transport company was in touch! They tell us this story: They received the address but called Josh #1 because there was not a phone number to call to get a meeting time. While giving the number, it is causally mentioned that it's only about 8 hours to the delivery spot. The transport employee is shocked and says that she has an address in Ohio. They almost delivered the car halfway across the country. After SO many discussions about the military, about California, about the amount of time it would take to deliver the car- they were going to send it to Ohio. She mentions she's worked with Roberson for 10 years and cannot believe they made that mistake. She actually said, "I don't know who they have working for them now but I've never seen anything like this." We call Josh #1 and leave a vm to make sure the paperwork is coming to California. No return call within a few hours. We call back and ask to speak to a manager. Enter Josh #2. He looks it up and assures us the paperwork was mailed to our California address. Josh #1 calls back a couple hours later to reiterate that, yes indeed, the paperwork is coming to California. We start checking the box every day because we are now expecting a package. The car arrived. The pics were not accurate. The car has major scratches, pieces missing from the interior and the driver's door needs to be tightened. The first time we drove it, the broken pieces came out from their hiding places under the seats. It's also filthy but we were told twice it had been detailed. That's on us for trusting pictures; HOWEVER, when selling a car over the phone, a little honesty would be appreciated. Take a few close up pictures of the dents, dings, scratches, broken pieces. It's not that difficult. You know who does this? Carvana. We get the car and even the driver seems to feel sorry for us and explains how the car may look bad but it's "still a nice car". He also provides picture to prove he picked it up just that way. We just want to go home but there's no dealer tag. We assumed since nothing had arrived in the mail, it would be in the car. We have to drive it the thirty minutes home with nothing. After five days, no tag shows up in the mail. Why? Because IT WAS MAILED TO OHIO. The tag, the paperwork, the TITLE... We called and spoke with Josh #2 AND Josh #1 about the tag not being mailed to Ohio. When I call, Maggie was extremely rude. She tells me it's not her problem. Even if all you can say is, "gosh, I'm sorry that happened," that would be better. I ask to speak to a "manager" and he says, "I would like get to the bottom of what happened." I can save some time here, Sir. What happened is you employ people who do not have any regard for the customers they serve. read more

I purchased a jeep there few years ago (have 2 cars from them) and when I took it in for the first service they offered me a 4 pack service deal for the car and they told me it was good for as long as I keep the car (wouldn't transfer to a new buyer). I don't drive this car that much, but it was due for a service according to mileage. After service was completed, I was asked how I wanted to pay. I mentioned about the service package I had purchased previously and after the rep looked it up, he said that they had expired. What?!? I thought it was good as long as I had the car. Apparently not. They expire with time as well, but that information wasn't giving to me at the time of purchase. Then, I was asked if I wanted to buy another 4 pack service, really?? After a couple weeks found my Jeep available in Corvallis. Asked the other dealer about their premium. No such thing. Bought it on the spot. Asked for my deposit refunded from Roberson. They said they would refund. 2 months and no refund. Asked again. No response. So summary: they charge above MSRP, promise a refund, then go dark on you. My Jeep Renegade has a defect where the front left blinker goes out, its happened three times and is a safety issue. When I called the dealer to make an appointment Matt in service told me they recently bought another dealership and they were not prepared for all the extra business this would bring and it would be about 2 months before I could get it in. If this was something minor ok no biggie, but driving around without a blinker is not safe and illegal. He did not care. I asked him so the dealer thinks its ok for me to be out there without a blinker, and he said that didn't matter and there was no room to get me in. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE... I have been trying to purchase a car here for 3 days now, and I still can't talk to anyone. Day 1 - Called to see what restrictions they have for COVID and person said he was off for the day and his desk mate would be glad to help... Came in to talk to a sales rep, they told me to come back tomorrow because they were about to close and asked me to set an appointment time for the following day. Day 2 - Came at my appointment time, saw the sales rep and was ignored at first because he was busy with someone else, didn't take offense because he was busy so i waited... he came back and said all reps were busy and he had 3 people waiting to talk to. So I told him I would walk the lot and come back the next day to talk. Day 3 - walked the lot and looked and the new inventory they got in but was not approached by anyone and no one seemed to want to talk to me, so I called the dealership # and someone immediately picked up I asked for a sales rep because I was on the lot and the person told me they were all busy. So I told him I would try another dealership seeing as 3 days and I can talk to anyone. In 2015 I purchased a Jeep from Roberson. But this isn't about that. A rock hit cracked the windshield on this Jeep. I called Roberson's main number, asked to speak to service and parts, and was forwarded to another person. I told him what I needed, and asked if the replacement glass would be exactly what is in there now -- which includes some emblems and other cute little things on the glass. (Sounds silly, but... I like it.) He said the no, he didn't think the replacement glass had that on it, they didn't make it anymore. But, he'd need to transfer me to someone else to talk about that. So, I waited a few minutes. He then comes back on the line, says that person will be busy for a bit, and takes my number for a call back. I understand that, no biggie. But... no one called back. After a week of no call back, I went to SafeLite's web site, entered my vehicle information, and right there it clearly gives me the option to get OEM glass which DOES have the extras on it. How can THEY know more about this product than the DEALERSHIP!? Two days later I had a new windshield, and NOT from Roberson's. I won't bother calling them for any future needs. read more

We went in with my father-in-law to look at a car he had previously looked at. The person wanted to know who dad had dealt with and he couldn't remember. The guy kept pestering him for this information. Finally we told him to just help us. He pulled the information that dad had been quoted before. We told him what dad could afford. He kept coming back with a way higher monthly payment. I told the guy that he was just trying to screw an elderly person. We ended up walking out. Will never go back there. Went there a while back to look at a jeep and it was close to closing time and told the Salesman, that we'd come back the next day to look at the jeep more and take it for a longer test drive. He insisted that it was okay for him to stay late and he was willing to work out a deal. The offer I got was $2,000 below what Carmax offered me And I told him I wanted payments below $600/month. He came out with a number that was much higher and I told him no and I told him they have to match what carmax was offering me, he went to the finance guy again and came back with payments of $610/month, so I said okay. The we get shuffled to another lady and as we are signing papers I see that they still were giving me $2,000 below what carmax offered me. I stopped signing and made them type up new papers to where they matched up to what carmax offered me for my trade in. Then they tried to trick me/ said well since they gave me so much for trade in that I needed to buy a more expensive extended warranty. Mind you they already had it typed up in the papers for me to purchase the more expensive warranty. That dealership will push you and push you and try to sneak stuff by you, buyer beware! read more

They say sign up for Gap insurance, so you do and then once you actually need to collect on your gap insurance, because some idiot hit your parked car. You Roberson's Motors and they say oh, sorry the company we sold you in no Longer in business. So the Allstate Gap Insurance ,is now Pac Partners Alliance group in California. They have taken over your Gap Insurance Claim. You contact Linn Co- Credit union of Lebanon Oregon , who claims to be a small town bank who prides themselves in knowing their customers, all the while they know there is a gap claim pending, yet they don't care about you personally. Beware!!! UPDATE! 01/21/19 just after my original 2 star review, I got a call from Robersons sales manager, asking why I was unhappy, and if there was anything they could do to turn this around. I said yes! Pay my repair bill. He told me that I should have talked to him before I got the repairs done. I explained that I did talk to my sales guy, I asked him for any help, and was told there was nothing they could do for me. How was I supposed to know who else to talk to after just being dropped like that? He asked for a copy of the repair bill and said "someone" would call me in a couple days. Over a week later, no call. There are so many choices when it comes to buying cars, don't do business with a shady car company that is only interested in your issues if you post a bad review. I will copy and past this to ALL the other sites I can find now. Do my part to help future buyers not make my mistake. The bad steering gear was covered up and could have cause a fatal accident!!! Protect your family, and yourself! ORIGINAL 2 STAR POST. If you find a used car/truck here, have your own mechanic look it over. My salesman "Mark" told me their shop is thorough, a great shop, and that they really went over this truck well. What I found after I purchased it, was many issues that were very obvious to a mechanic. Also signs that they intentionally hid bigger issues with small fixes! That's the part that really upsets me, they knew about the problems, but hid them and lied. Mark smiles and looks you right in the eye as he lies. I had a horrible experience here. I purchased a 2021 Jeep Renegade. On the lot there was a big scratch across the driver side paneling and a scrape on the center console. I assumed that they would fix the damage while it was being detailed. NOPE. I got it home and realized they had tried to hide the damage under a layer of chemicals. I wrote a review in regards to the salesperson with this information, which triggered her to call me. So she set me up to have the service manager review and 'order parts'. I met with the service manager who 'wrote up a parts order' but never heard from them. A month went by and I called them. They stated they are 'still waiting on the parts'. Then I had an issue (my fault this time) with my drivers side belt buckle clip. I called to get a quote on cost and it took three of the parts employees to 'try to find cost and instructions on the new belt buckle installation' and eventually wasn't able to get a quote, but reassured that they would call me back. They never did! Needless to say, I hated my experience with Roberson, and hated my car. Five months into having my Jeep I traded it in to get a Subaru. Save yourself some time and get a better car elsewhere! read more

Very disappointed. I told the salesperson what I wanted, he told me I could get the car at a certain price. I filled out the paperwork and the price comes back $2,000 more. The finance manager acted as though I was wasting his time. They wasted mine and the very reason I was hesitant to buy a new car took place. You lost a good customer with an excellent credit score and now I have a wasted hard pull on my credit. read more

We had a great buying experience here with April and Kody we got a 2015 Wrangler, April originally showed us the Jeep and due to our schedule we wrapped up the deal with Kody, both of them were very professional and definitely know their Jeeps and were able to answer any questions we had about it.
