Most tender brisket I've ever had. Never mind the fact that it tastes as though the brisket and all the best spices are congregated and having a block party! I order brisket and all their meats with the sauce on the side. The brisket is so well-seasoned that I sometimes eat it without any sauce at all. If you love fried catfish, please give the catfish lunch or dinner a try. It is really fried without having a greasy texture. After trying so many BBQ places, I've finally picked my local favorite. Service- 10/10 Food- must try rib tips, pork ribs, beef ribs on weekends. Great bbq sauce and spicy sauce too. My friends came over today and we couldn't decide what to eat. I secretly had this place bookmarked because I haven't eaten BBQ food in like a year and have been wanting to try it. When I said BBQ they were like Uhhh yeah! where? We stared at the pictures for 10 minutes trying to decide what we would get then took the 1.5 mile drive to this place. I'm trying to figure out if it's a blessing or a curse that it's so close because I will want it all the time. Once you walk in you can smell the bbq and you know it's gonna be good. I got the brisket sandwich and Upgraded my side to Mac N Cheese. Can u say best bbq Eva! We all loved our food and happy to come home with leftovers. That sandwich comes apart like buttah. Went here with an old friend to check it out. We had brisket, ribs, chicken, and hot links. All were flavorful, tender, and great quality meat. I had the mixed BBQ sauce, which is half mild and half spicy sauce. Great flavor, not overly sweet, and the right amount of spice. Mac n cheese was creamy and the noodles perfect soft texture. The only item I want to make a suggestion about is to cut the big stems off the greens before cooking. This is obviously a place for take-out, but we ate there. Picnic tables with industrial rolls of paper towels set on top worked just fine. But, what really stood out was the service. The young woman at the counter chatted with us and made sure we had drinks and everything we needed while we waited for the food. Then, Robert Earl himself came out of the kitchen with our food, made sure we had everything we'd ordered, then smiled and said, "Welcome to the family!" The food and the experience was top notch. It's exhausting looking for legit bbq in Southern California. Almost as tough as finding good pizza. But it was my birthday and if there's one food I need to feel like it's MY DAY, it's some true, suck-the-sauce-off-your-fingers, smoke scent in my hair, bbq. We tried just about everything and it was all incredible. Some particular highlights were- the brisket, the beef links, Mac n cheese, the greens, their sweet tea. This truly is one of those places where you just can't go wrong with your order. I don't even normally like baked beans, but I tried theirs and they're incredible!! THE SERVICE THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE, WELL, I NEVER GOT ANY. The cashier kept saying I'll be right with you and never did! After standing in the hot waiting area/room for almost 25 minutes, I couldn't take it anymore and left!! There was an older couple in front of me who had been waiting longer than I had. My husband ordered online on Father's Day. We went several miles to pick up our order that was already paid for. When we arrived we were told by the owner that our order was canceled. Apparently, for some reason, she chose to cancel online orders that day and kept the orders by phone. No explanation why. Her defense was that she sent an "email" that made it ok. Without notice of an email I would not check for her message. To make matters worse, another gentleman after us also had the same experience. However, she offered him the option to reorder. I always drive by here, on my way home from my parents house. You always smell the fresh strong BBQ when driving by. Finally, stopped in, friendly, nice staff. I felt very welcomed. CASH ONLY. However, they do have an ATM inside. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the ATM. With my card having a security chip, it wasn't accepting my card. So, the girl at the counter ( sweet Polynesian girl) told me to go online & place my order & I could pay that way. It was very efficient. Will consider doing that when returning. I've been wanting to try this place for so long, especially since I smell the smoke from the pit in the middle of the street every time I pass by. I placed my order tonight online not knowing they were closing already. The lady that works there gave me a call saying they can still serve me if I make it there soon, thankfully I live down the street. I ordered the 8 piece chicken and a large order of Mac & cheese. I told them it was okay and they didnt need to warm the chicken. When I got there the lady told me he insisted on warming and didn't feel right giving me lukewarm chicken. On top of that they gave me extra Mac & cheese and an order of beans! I don't know how anyone could say they're rude there and/or don't care about their customer service because I know it's rare to find service even half as great as theirs. As far as the food it was all so delicious and amazing. The chicken was hot and smokey including the skin! The beans are spicy with pieces of bacon & I dunno what they put in that Mac & cheese but I'm pretty sure I could eat my weight in that alone. Minus half a star for no sauce. I was the only customer there. Not like there was a crowd or anything... -Mac n cheese? Very cheesy with pasta shells. Devoured it. :) -Beans? Much too spicy. Baked beans shouldn't be so spicy. Took one bite and couldn't finish the rest. (Kind of glad my ribs were sauceless if this is what they considered mild). Sauce wasn't sweet and had too much heat, so a sweet version would be a definite plus (if it exists). The heat in their sauces probably goes for any other meat. Best to get it on the side (at least for me). Minus half a star for inedibleness. -Sock it to me cake? Sweet and cinnamon-y. Never had one before, liked it. Light n fluffy. Minus a star for having no credit card option. An ATM was not what I expected when I read the Yelp page saying credit cards were accepted. Please update that your business is CASH only. There are fees on the ATM. It was explained that There were fees for credit cards. True, but I prefer to go to my bank and withdraw money without a $2.75 ATM fee plus a $2.50 non-bank fee. We have been wanting to try this place for a couple weeks now and glad we finally were able to bring some home. We ordered the two meat combo with double side of Mac and cheese. The ribs were Smokey and tender and the BBQ was on point. The brisket was just as satisfying. Lastly, the Mac and cheese was just out of this world. Best BBQ in town! My husband and I tried it at the LB BBQ Festival and we're thrilled they opened up a store. Food was fast and delicious! I had the beef ribs and my husband had the pork ribs.
