This has been one of my favorite pizza places in the area. However the last 2 times we got pizza (take out) it's been way over cooked and it seems like they changed something with the sauce and cheese. This is a local eatery that has rested On it's laurels for much too long. They clearly have not reinvested in their building and it is dilapidated and does not look even clean. Somehow or another they manage to get out pretty good food. More recently I was stuck in a wait with large party that was supposed to be a minute wait initially that wound up being an hour and a half. The food came out slowly, the waitress was quite pleasant but somehow disappeared when it was time to pay. We were captive from 630 until 1030. The $15 cake charge was way over-the-top after spending $400 for 10 people. Perhaps they should reinvest that $15 and get some new roof tiles that don't look like they're going to fall down or turn down the heat and save a few dollars. read more

Went there for my brother in laws birthday. Service started out slow as we waited awhile for drinks. I wish we could of walked out there and ate somewhere else, but we didn't. It was a weekday evening and was moderately busy and not too crazy. Our appetizer of garlic bread came out cold to start. It was very good, but cold. Strike one. I ordered a beer which took a good 10 minutes to arrive. Strike two. Our meals came not all together, but eventually came out, and we all started eating. Three of the group ordered the special scallop risotto and were immediately put off. The risotto looked like glue and none of the scallops were cooked in anyone's dinner. All 3 plates sent back with one of the dishes scallops recooked. Scallops came back for one meal and were eaten. That night food poisoning for the one person who ate the scallops. I had their scallop pizza. It was greasy and the scallops were overcooked . So far 2 out of the 5 of us had eaten dinner. My wife ordered the chicken parm to replace the risotto and when that came out it was actually good. The bill took forever to get to us. They did take all three specials off. It was a three hours of my life I can never get back. read more

Roberto's is a quaint, classic place. We went last week for dinner with friends and were pleasantly surprised. We were seated at a small booth in the back. The decor is significantly outdated, and a little shabby but no matter. The food was very fresh and tasty. The red sauce on the spinach Fettuccini was slightly sweet yet had zest and zip. The salads were fresh and the dressing was very flavorful. The special casserole ( which I did not taste ) according to everyone else at the table was really special. The Chicken Marguerite was a bit overpowered by the abundant use of pesto, but it was still quite good. The highlight was the chocolate cake! So moist! The only downsides to eating here are: VERY slow service. The waitress and the food took ages, but when the food did come it was fresh and hot. The waitress was very disorganized, forgot several things ( including the garlic bread! What a shame... ) and was much too hyper and flustered. She was not professional at all. Overall we would go again for the great food, but maybe not during rush hour due to the below average service. read more

Went with five friends for a birthday dinner. Nice atmosphere. Not super noisy. Great waitress. We stayed a little too late but they never made us feel pressured to leave. Food was good, especially the Gorgonzola bread and the chocolate cake. read more

We ate here for the first time last night and definitely won't be our last. I was not too hungry so I order a salad and the best mac and cheese ever. My husband order a small pizza (which we have left over) they give big portions and great prices. We sat at the bar all the waitress were so nice and the service was excellent . Ate here for the first time last night. Don't know why it took us so long to try this place. The food was EXCELLENT! We did have to wait. Vacation week and it was packed. But people waiting in the bar around us were friendly and talkative so we didn't mind. Got a cozy booth. I like the kitschy paper on the table with crayons. The Trivial Pursuit cards need to go though. They were super old and had crusty food on some of them. (Roberto's, try replacing them with a couple decks of cards that you swap out routinely.) The spaghetti & meatballs were superb! Pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce and meatballs had tons of flavor! Food was served hot. Can't wait to go back again!! read more

Ok, update. BUMMER. I'm removing a star. After raving to everyone about my new favorite spot, I went back with my boyfriend to find that they had totally re-worked the menu since I was there last. That to-die-for cioppino I couldn't get out of my head? Gone. The goat cheese appetizer plate? Gone. I was so disappointed that I honestly don't even remember what we wound up ordering. I know we had the mussel appetizer again and it was as good as I had remembered, but the rest of the meal was forgettable. And the service was not good. Don't you just hate when you talk something up with such vigor, and then get people to join you and it's like "ok the menu was definitely different last time I was here"..."and I swear they gave us bread with the mussels"... "and they offered us desserts and coffee...they didn't just bring the check and rush us out like this..." ..."really, I'm telling you, it was REALLY good last time...this must be an off night..." etc. I'll go back and give it another try. Maybe whole experience this second time was thrown off by the fact that they removed the menu items I had been craving and raving about. read more

Today was my first time trying Roberto's. They make a delicious salmon and Alfredo pesto spaghetti. The salmon was perfect. The only thing I would change is the seasoning of the pasta. Needed more salt, pepper, and garlic. Great portion size. I had it for both lunch and dinner! I also got a chopped (large) salad. It was 8.50 and I have to say it was basically all lettuce and no veggies. It was disappointing. But I'll definitely go again and try another entree. read more

Our first time stopping here after driving by for years. Now I wished we had stopped sooner. The atmosphere is old-school family Italian, but makes it fun and casual. Waitresses are attentive, friendly, maybe a bit slow, but overall excellent. Food is amazing and priced fair, if not cheap. We had enough for both of us to have leftovers for another meal, but we did order an appetizer too. There's a nice bar with a tv, several tables and 2 large tables for a bigger family or group. read more

I have been frequenting Robert's once a week. The food, drinks and prices are fantastic. We usually sit at the bar because it is less formal and the other patrons are very friendly. The down side is the service at the bar. The service staff is so busy behind the bar that they are unapproachable and irritable. They do not like to be asked questions and eye contact is minimal. This makes for an uncomfortable dining experience. read more

My parents have been going to Robertos since they were dating. My dad even longer than that. Needless to say, Roberto's is a family favorite. We haven't ventured past the antipasto and Roberto's special but we keep coming back for more. Can't go wrong with the crunchy pepperoni on the antipasto and the delicious thin crust of the pizza. The food is fine, especially the pizza, but I think there's a management or kitchen issue. We ordered a specialty pizza, one we've gotten before, and asked for a substitution, again one we've done before. This time, when I went to pick up the pizza, I was charged extra. No warning. I was told that substitutions were "hard for the kitchen." I ended up paying more than if I'd simply ordered the toppings a la carte.
