Meanwhile everyone in the restaurant who had arrived some 15 - 20 minutes after us, had all be served by other wait staff. I requested to speak with the manager ASAP. The manager (cook) came out and asked what had happened. He said that the "new guy" was new to which my husband replied "why didn't you train him then?!" The manager begged that we stay and that he would give us a free meal. My husband said no way, and then the manager gave us a $40 gift card (which wasn't enough for the meal that we had originally ordered.) As we walked toward the door with the manager a stupid waitress (who I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with in the past) interrupted and tried to explain that the "new guy" was new and in training. I said then why didn't you help him then. She started shouting over me and pointing her finger at me. So then I did the same to her and she kept yelling "don't you point your finger at me" even while she was pointing her finger at me. Yes, it was quite the scene tonight. And all when the restaurant was full of customers who had to have seen the entire episode. By the way - the same hot headed waitress is notorious for making customers wait for close to an hour for a carryout order, and then lying about why it isn't ready when a customer arrives. She should be fired and deported back to the country she came from.
