Drive thru staff are quick to answer and no line. It's a tight drive thru for my Subaru so can't imagine anything bigger Ordered the beef chimichanga. Definitely could have been fried more. Was a little blonde. The beans are refried beens. So between that and the soggy meat if was really soggy. Menu said queso but didn't notice any. Also the meat had peppers in it which wasn't mentioned in the menu. The portion is HUMONGOUS!!! Enough for 3-4 people really. Roberto's has always been a go-to taco shop here in San Diego. They have definitely been dependable over the decades. I stopped in this location for a bacon and eggs breakfast burrito for $8 and some change. A great price, by the way. The burrito was good. It did need more scrambled eggs mixed into the mix. Also, they need to let the burrito sit on the hot griddle a few times to not only better toast up the flour tortilla but also to allow the cheese to melt inside the burrito. If you like bacon, the burrito did come with a lot of good bacon. The burrito also comes with fries, but I do not like fries in my burritos, so I axed them. I prefer regular potatoes. The red hot sauce was very good. They offer a good amount of inside seating, but it is a little dark inside. They offered a drive thru, and the service was good. read more

Had an incredible abodaba burrito here. For the price ($11) a burrito this good is hard to come by. Salsa verde has a nice little kick to it. The amount of Thomas Kinkaid-esque paintings on the wall is so numerous that they go beyond "cheesy" and begins to invoke a feeling of homeliness and comfort. 10/10 would eat many more burritos here! read more

The food was medicore. I wouldn't come here if you are looking for something great isn taste. It's a 24 hour establishment. Usually this would be a go to right after a bar and there's nothing else open. The inside of the establishment is not all that well taken care of. The restrooms were ghastly. The service is ok. I called in a veggie burrito (with extra veggies) just 10 minutes before closing, and not only did they happily take my order, they nailed it!!! This Roberto's location is good, not great. Roberto's has been a staple in San Diego for over 60 years. Each location seems to run differently like Tacos Mexico in Los Angeles. The quality at each location varies, just like Roberts. I think the most popular items at Roberto's is the rolled tacos, regular tacos and burritos. This locations rolled tacos are best with guacamole. Tried them without the guacamole and they are not great. At other locations the rolled tacos include, lettuce, guacamole and cheese. I didn't see that on the menu here. They had them plain, with cheese or with guacamole. The location (also a drive thru) on El Cajon Blvd is my favorite Roberto's. I would recommend that location. read more
