Wandered into this cute cafe for a matcha latte to go and ended up sitting down to enjoy the tastiest steak sandwich and a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, too! The ambiance was Insta-worthy, the service was friendly and prompt. Cookies were just out of the oven and the sandwich was made to order with an amazing pepper sauce, fresh greens, melted mozzarella (or a choice of cheddar) and tender steak. I spoke to Enrique who said they bake everything fresh and the bread for the sandwiches is ordered from Panorama everyday. Love that it was chewy inside and crispy on the outside but not enough to give you roof rakers. A neighborhood gem.

Robin's Cafe is an absolute gem cafe in the mission district. It is very spacious and the staff is very friendly. I always get either the Chipotle steak or Pork Belly sandwich. Both of these sandwiches are very tasty, meaty, crunchy, and i highly recommend! I'm not a big eater, but dare i say, I could eat two in one seating. It's close to Dolores park as well, so you can even stop by to grab a sandwich before heading to the park.

I always drive by this coffee shop and never have time to stop by, until last weekend. I was meeting a friend and we're deciding we're to meet, I remember this place since we were going to Dolores Park afterwards. The place was not busy, a couple of people outside/inside. Plenty of seat+tables in the back since they share the space with ODC The service was quick, informative, & pleasant. The food was quiet flavorful and quiet delicious. Presentation was on point Coffee was good, I had a drip and my fiend had a cappuccino and he quiet liked it. It was an overall wonderful experience. I would come back in I find myself in the neighborhood again. Would recommend.

What I got: Green Matcha Latte w/half&half and honey Avocado toast as listed on menu I had a great time, this meal was delicious! For $15 it's a high price but the quality and presentation were phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed sipping the foamy goodness of the latte while I did business on my phone. Mmm that was the best latte I've had all year!! I loved this meal! The toast was crunchy around the edge, soft in the center, well buttered too. The 'cado was tasty, no wrongdoings to be found. Likewise with the hardboiled eggs. The salt topping was so good! Service was fast too! I sat down at 10:32am and had my meal served by 10:40am. Big props these people are working hard!! If it's like this a second and third time, five stars for you!!

The roasted mushroom sandwich. Those are shimeji mushrooms (im guessing), stringy mushrooms. Hosin sauce was a bit much. Will try to ask for no hosin sauce. Avocado was really good as well as their bread that was crunchy and held everything together. The side salad was good (always good to have greens). Next time try their hot chocolate made themselves. Nice place to hang out using the ODC lobby. Sunny outside too.

Great place for lunch with tasty sandwiches. My work ordered Robin's Cafe for lunch and it was a solid spot for a filling meal. I ordered the roasted chipotle steak sandwich, which also came with a side salad tossed in a simple vinaigrette. It was a pretty large portion of food for the price, which I believe was $15. The steak sandwich had plenty of sauce in it, and it gave just the right amount of kick. The bread was very soft and toasted just right, and the steak itself was amazing. It fell apart as soon as I bit into it and the proportions of all the fillings in the sandwich were great. I also ordered a cinnamon morning bun, but wasn't given that unfortunately. They ended up giving a chocolate chip cookie, which was good, but not what I wanted. Overall, Robin's Cafe is pretty tasty with large and filling meals. Sad that I wasn't able to try the cinnamon morning bun, but hopefully next time I'm able to.

Matcha latte in Robin's cafe is soooo good!

I love this little gem next to ODC. In between dance classes I usually sit next to the window sipping the matcha latte made with oak milk and having a piece of zucchini bread, while people watching... it has become a thing as I really love the food and drink made by people who care. Part of reasons I am always there are the staff. They know what I want and they always put on big smiles when I step in. Isn't that like homecoming?!

Sometimes I stroll on Shotwell just because it feels like the most genteel street in the Mission with all those Victorians and low-key businesses like the Timbuk2 outlet and of course, Shotwell's Bar. Robin's just caught my eye because I didn't expect a cafe on this street. I was wondering if there was a weight ceiling for customers because I saw several skinny people walk in, but then it dawned on me it was part of the OCD Theater. Dancers, y'know. Oh good, there are people with normal appetites in here, too. I've come here a couple of times, and I just don't get the warm fuzzies. Funny thing is that my visits were months apart, but I had similar experiences. Both times, I ordered the $3.85 Cafe au Lait (photo: http://bit.ly/2J2fCCh) and the $5.50 Fruit Bowl, a mix of blueberries, strawberries, and banana slices. Both times they yelled my coffee order out loud for me to pick up, and both times they made me pick up my fruit bowl at the same time. I juggled holding both items on my way back to a table. So what was the point of giving me a number? The coffee was decent enough, but they got overly creative in serving their fruit. The first time was in a convenient bowl (photo: http://bit.ly/2JmEweU), and now they awkwardly place it in a skinny jar where the blueberries fly out if you don't maneuver the spoon carefully enough (photo: http://bit.ly/2JkE0hH). The laptoppers pretty much take over all the remaining real estate in here. So much for comfy-cozy. COFFEE/FRUIT - 3 stars...middling coffee, fruit in an unfriendly container AMBIANCE - 2.5 stars...clean though sterile and crowded SERVICE - 2 stars...come and get it TOTAL - 3 stars...I wonder if Batman has a cafe RELATED - Milling about in the Mission? By sheer luck, my birthday coincided with the 4-course for $45 promotion they were running for their 10-year anniversary. I had to jump at the opportunity, especially since the menu was built from the all time favorite items at the restaurant since their opening. I really couldn't think of a better way to experience a restaurant for the first time. While some set course meals have a few misses, this one was just hit after hit the entire way through. I really felt as if every course was complimentary, but different enough in their own way to stand on their own and make an impact. Tldr: the food was amazing! The icing on the cake (figuratively and literally) was just how far they went out of their way to make my birthday night special. Exceptional service, bringing out a complimentary dessert with a candle, and even leaving a personalized card elevated this experience to the next level. Would highly recommend paying Trestle a visit, and I can't wait for the next time I'm able to try their new menus myself!

It's such a cute restaurant with its own charm. The whole experience felt fun and special. The only intimidating part for me was the menu haha. I'm a very visual person, so I had a hard time picturing some of the dishes at first. Shoutout to our kind & patient server, plus all the Yelp photos I studied beforehand lol. Everything was delicious. The quality of every dish really stood out, and I'd happily order all of them again, but here were my favorites: * Sushi Rice: SO good. Definitely a must order. The beef somehow almost tastes like tuna haha. * Fried Rice: I'm obsessed with corn, so this was a must for me. * Maitake Tempura: A must for mushroom lovers. Also, the ranch was incredible. * Kakigori: Absolutely mandatory for dessert. No further notes lol. * Lamb Kofta: Really flavorful and delicious, though next time I'd probably try some other dishes instead. * Avocado: A great option if you want something fresh and green on the table too. * Parker House Rolls: These were good, but probably not my favorite. I think I'm biased because I don't really love rolls in general, and the other dishes felt more unique and memorable to me. These were just the items we had, but the menu changes often, so you may see different dishes when you go. The Sushi Rice is one of the staples though, and I definitely think it's a must try. Overall, such a great experience. Our server was so attentive, and the whole meal felt really memorable. Already planning to bring my boyfriend here for a date night. What a special place!

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The food was pretty good. The fried chicken and deviled eggs were super tasty. I'm rating this 4 stars instead of 5 due to a couple of service issues. First, their bar policy for large groups is frustrating. A guest in our party tried to order a soda at the bar but was turned away because he wasn't physically sitting at the bar counter. For large groups, people should be allowed to open separate bar tabs so they don't have to be looped into the main table bill. It feels unreasonable and cuts into the bartenders' tips. Second, our server wasn't very welcoming. While not openly rude, the cold demeanor made our diverse group feel a bit pre-judged, which was disappointing. We still ended up with a hefty bill and tipped well, but hospitality could definitely be improved. Overall, we had a great time because of the company, music, and food. I'm willing to give it another try to see if the service improves!
