Respect the hustle. I read an article about the owner of El Corazón Cafe... Jesus starts at the weeee hours in the morning to prep/cook for his cafe, runs his cafe all day, then goes to his second job at night as a chef at a resto in Duboce Triangle. And, it doesn't stop there. He and his wife also own and run a janitorial business. Team No Sleep deserves mad respect! So, gotta support that hustle... Plus, I was eyeing that enmoladas on the menu. Opening last week is El Corazón Cafe for takeout and dine-in. They're located inside Mission Economic Development Agency's Plaza Adelante neighborhood center. When you enter, head to the back right area and you'll see the El Corazón Cafe's food stall (formerly Café de Olla). M E N U American & Mexican breakfast: Fruit bowl, yogurt, waffles, enchiladas, tostadas and roast chicken. Pastries from El Yucateco Bakery. Lunch: American salads and sandwiches. For drinks, coffee (Mr. Espresso), Cuban lattes, tea, agua fresca, and bottled drinks. On a time crunch? You can pre-order through Clover. D R I N K / F O O D * Watermelon Agua Fresca ($4.50) Refreshing and naturally sweet with pieces of juicy watermelon. Tastes like summer. * Enchiladas de Mole: Chicken, queso fresco, onions ($13): https://tinyurl.com/9jcptvuj The three enchiladas were smothered with mole sauce and topped queso fresco, tomatoes, and red onions. The enchiladas were filled with moist and tender shredded chicken and the corn tortillas was soft and chewy. The mole sauce was well-balanced, flavorful, and nicely spiced. I often find mole sauce run either too bitter or too sweet for me but not the case here. S E R V I C E One man show, Jesus is SO friendly, gracious, and prompt. Ordered at the counter and he delivered the food to me. Even took the time to check-in to make sure I liked the food. A M B I A N C E A community space that's colorful and festive with 10 tables inside. No outdoor seating. P A R K I N G Difficult street parking. Overall, if you're in The Mission, stop by El Corazón Cafe and support this new local small business. The previous tenant was able to move into their first brick & mortar this year so wishing the same for Jesus!

Service was extremely friendly. Everything looks nice and clean and there's lots of seating available. Bagel was delicious and prepared with the right amount of ingredients. Definitely coming back to try more things on their menu.

We didn't really wait as we came early, but usually wait times can range from 40 minutes to an hour and a half depending on when you go. Do not go after 2 pm as they will probably not serve you as they close at 3 pm. I ordered the following sandwiches: +49er (corned beef, pastrami, brisket, white american cheese, cherry peppers, cole slaw, 1000 island, Board sauce, french roll - $24) - I found this to be tasty, but super rich. I wish there was more cole slaw or something more acidic to cut all of this meat. +Armando (turkey, bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, sprouts, pepperoncini blend, mayo, Board sauce, garlic french roll - $22) - I loved this so much. The turkey bacon avocado combo is a God send and the garlic french roll is the cherry on top. +Allison (pastrami, corned beef, cheddar, provolone, pepperoncini blend, cole slaw, 1000 island, cleveland brown mustard, french roll - $24) - I liked this more than the 49er sandwich as it had more cole slaw, but I would order some mick sauce on the side to pack more of a punch. You could possibly share a sandwich as they are packed with protein, but if you are really hungry or are used to eating whole ass sandwiches to yourself, you should just indulge on a whole one.

But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

I was unable to ask for a bread substitute due to this, so it is good to keep in mind that asking for changes may be difficult. I enjoyed my sandwich at the park, and it was good! The tuna had a bit of heat, and every bite had lots of flavor. It was a bit of a heavier sandwich with the oily focaccia and potato chips. I'm happy I was able to try it!
