I think the egg and pork sausage tasted a bit like freezer burn? Other than that the croissant was really good! Friendly staff and great ambiance.

Got two small San Pellegrinos and for some reason they cost $13. That's ridiculous even for SF.

The service is great....employees are friendly and warm...great place to work/study since they have outlets. The matcha was not good. It tasted like milk. It wasn't sweetened in any way - usually places will ask if you want it sweetened or tell you that it's not sweetened. This just came out as a surprise. And the rim of the glass was dirty. I like this place. The food looks tasty (haven't tried it). Just came here to say don't order the matcha. The Thai tea and mocha weren't very good either. The lavender lemonade is delicious. Get that if you get a drink. Maybe their food is better than their drinks.

If you want bad customer service and attitude, this is the spot. The barista with the nose ring gave me attitude and made an annoyed face when I simply asked for a to-go cup for my coffee. She gave me a plastic cup for a hot coffee. The whole interaction was unpleasant. Customer service could definitely use improvement. I drank as much as I could my coffee because I simply wasn't going to carry my coffee in a plastic cup.

Woke up late on Saturday morning and got caught up in social media doom scrolling until afternoon at which time I found I was too lazy and hungry to try to figure out making breakfast out of whatever was in the house apart from the daily oatmeal I can cook on autopilot (if you can even call that cooking). Which is why I found myself at the bean bag cafe and asking what might be a recommended omelette. La Mancha hit the spot with its layer of egg enveloping the flavorful mix of grilled chicken, green onion slices, mushrooms, and stretchy mozzarella cheese. The caramelized crunch of the home fries gave a great contrast to the soft center and went well with the omelette along with the ketchup and hot sauce. The toast with butter and jelly added some sweetness to the large savory meal which probably could have fed two smaller people but since this is going to count for breakfast and lunch, I gave myself a pass. The afternoon was not as packed as the mornings I've been there on the weekends which is understandable for a cafe. Still nice for relaxing and people watching from the windows out into the street and enjoying some personal time listening to a podcast about Japanese entertainment and enjoying the free time.

Came here to do some work with a friend and ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, which was pretty good! My friend ordered a blueberry banana smoothie, which was also yummy. It's a casual cafe with small tables for you to grab a drink, quick bite to eat, or do some work. Service is quick and it's pretty busy in there.

Great place to work or meet with friends. The food is good, with a decent variety and really good drinks. It also came out pretty fast. Nice spot if you're in the neighborhood.

Amazing neighborhood spot with sweet and savory crepes that come with potatoes! We ordered the chicken pesto and lyon crepes (lemon mousse with brown butter) and it was my first trying both flavors. The service was fast and you order at the counter and find your own seating. Super casual place that is perfect for breakfast or brunch.

I've stopped by Bean Bag Cafe several times, whether to get some work done or grab brunch. This place has everything from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to coffee and wine/beer. They offer plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and the owner is very friendly. I've ordered the Baja scrambled eggs, tacos, and the Bodega Bay sandwich, and the portion sizes are huge! I always have a great experience here and will definitely be returning many more times.

Came here to hangout at the cafe and use their WiFi (free). The cafe was spacious, clean, and played good background music. I ordered a Thai tea (~$5), was decent. I didn't get anything to eat but they had a bunch of customers coming in an out for their food so I'm sure it's good! Will def come back to try some.

Genuinely one of my favorite-ever study spots! This place just feels like home. They are incredibly nice and accommodating. The smoothies are delicious, and the fries are perfectly salted for only $5.50. They also have some tables near outlets in the back.

Let's give a toast to the neighborhood cafés that have survived San Francisco's transformation over the last 20 to 30 years. There aren't many of them. Beanbag is one of the survivors. Homely, basic, friendly and classic. You will find better, small batch, bespoke, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches elsewhere, but you won't get the personality. You won't get the sense of a neighborhood institution. The folks here are friendly, there is free Wi-Fi and a pretty extensive menu. Everything is fine. I usually go for breakfast and Tim never disappointed. If there's anything I don't like about it it's that there are always techies in here having their little techie meetings. Investment this, capitalize on that, scale, blah, blah, blah. But it speaks to that this place is spacious and chill.

Solid place! Cozy, comforting, yummy, no frills. Staff is nice and food is good (pretty basic).

Fish Dac Biet Fish Mac (a cool spin on McDonald's fish fillet) While the price points for the specials, are around $3-$4 more than their usual burgers, it's so worth however the Uni burger for $45 is a bit steep for what it is and I'd rather get Uni at omakase vs. as a topping for a smash burger. All this to say, Smish Smash deserves all the flowers, and I can't wait for them to open up shop in a standalone spot!

Delivery was not far so it still came hot but quality definitely felt lower than before. meat was a bit soggy, some crisp on some edges but other parts a little off. We had the French toast sticks, very good, as well as the classic breakfast dish, my partner had the breakfast burrito. Both dishes were decent, but we were there for the company mostly. The restaurant was quaint and cute, more compact, but had a secondary overflow area in a separate part of the restaurant. There were restrooms on both side, and Causewells served as a chill morning for us with our friends. The location had a cute bar set up for evening link ups, and the service was very friendly. The vibe is more of what you go for the food is decent but won't necessarily blow you away. Try them out and see for yourself.
