Bourbon Chicken (top), Orange Chicken (bottom)

Pass on the bourbon chicken. I'm not sure anyone could be happy with it. We should've known not to order it because a couple who were already done eating barely touched theirs. The orange chicken was really good! Not pictured it the Richard Roll (eel and salmon) and I thought it was really good. We dined at a time they were empty so I can't speak for how they are when busy but the host/waitress was so polite and friendly! The portions are enough to share. The restaurant itself was very clean and the seating was spread out enough to not be on top on each other.

came here 6 o'clock on a Sunday. There was nobody in the restaurant. They greeted us with some wonton crackers and duck sauce. We ordered a pot of hot green tea. Beef and broccoli, one sushi roll and two hand rolls. The girl at the front desk was also our server. she was very sweet Everything was tasty. Quiet night.

Ordered sushi rolls and they were nothing special. One of the rolls had so much tempura crunch on it that it looked like snow. The fish was not that fresh and our order was ready 30minutes after they said it would be. Save yourself the time and get good sushi from sushi ninja, sushi kampai or sunflower cafe.

General Tso's Chicken with Egg Fried Rice Wok Lunch.

This was my first time trying this restaurant and I ordered take out. I tried the General Tso's Chicken with Egg Fried rice Wok Lunch. The staff was really friendly and the food came out quickly. The price was decent for a lunch meal ($6.35). The food was better than I expected. Not the best I've had but definitely not bad. The chicken was crispy and had a decent amount of heat. I will definitely come back with my family and try some more of their menu items. I was pleasantly surprised.

This is where China Chen was previously located.

I ordered take out here thinking it was still China Chen. it's not. When I called, and asked if it's still China Chen, I was told it's still the same, just under new management. . . But if the menu has changed, management has changed, the name has changed, delivery is no longer offered, and the decor has changed--it's not the same restaurant is it? Just be up front, as this is very off-putting. Although the menu is mainly sushi, Chinese is still served. I ordered mixed vegetables in garlic sauce. I thought the sauce was too dense and overwhelmed the other components in volume. Service was friendly, and the place is really nicely redecorated. Delivery is not available. Still a new restaurant, so hopefully they will find their flow soon.

When you spend good money on good, it ought to be worth it. It is certainly worth it here. The food was fantastic, the decor and environment was so high end. I will be back. Highly recommend!

Had a fabulous dinner at Ro while visiting Tampa last month with my sister! We were both craving…read moresushi and this was the perfect spot for a girls night out. We also love Hyde Park and it's just so nice to walk around that area before or after your meal. We started off with cocktails -- I went with the pomelo (nikka coffey gin, aperol, grapefruit, szechuan peppercorn) and she got the shinshun (sparkling sake, yuzu extract, & honey). We both really enjoyed our drinks. For appetizers, we shared the wagyu gyoza and I also got a couple pieces of nigiri -- Hokkaido Hotate (scallop) and the otoro (fatty tuna belly). Yum! We both ordered sushi rolls (maki) for our mains. I got the Ro signature roll which has spicy tuna, avocado, and hamachi. My sis got the classic tempura shrimp roll topped with crispy potato chips which was a nice twist. We definitely got our sushi fix! The end of every meal comes with a complimentary sweet surprise and I'm so glad we saved just enough room for dessert. They make their own ice cream in-house and have fun rotating flavor combinations. I can't remember the exact flavor we had, but it had a passion fruit ganache on top with some crumble topping and it was phenomenal! Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. That alone is worth going back for.
