Huge kudos to Rocco's in Studio City for doing a bang-up job handling USA's World Cup round of 16 game on a Monday night with a full-to-bursting crowd. I arrived 90 minutes before match time, and the place was already more than half full. The hostess, a tall, gregarious brunette whose name I didn't learn, was friendly as could be, and showed me all the options remaining for a 2-top; and she completely left it up to me to decide. Once I picked a table, water was dropped off quickly, and our server, Alexandra, arrived for the first of many visits. She took great care of us, and always made sure we had whatever we needed. We didn't order any drinks of a fancy nature (a cosmo, a beer and a shot), but they came quickly, were properly prepared and quite generously poured. For food, we ordered what almost anyone would order in such a situation: pizza and wings. The 10" cheese pizza had a crisp crust with good-quality mozzarella that had plenty of flavor. The pizza here is far better than one normally gets in a sports bar, and shouldn't go unnoticed. Wings were also top notch: crispy on the outside, juicy as can be inside. I ordered the Parmesan-Garlic flavor, which was fairly drenched in fresh garlic and cheese, and was fantastic-tasting. It was a very nice change of pace from the usual Buffalo sauce, and fresher (read "better") than similar versions offered at other chicken wing places around the area. The crowd was great, the food was solid, the drinks were stiff, and the overall experience was about as much fun as you can have while your home team is being eliminated from the tournament 4-1. This original Rocco's remains the best of the locations, as far as I can tell, and it's comforting to have it in the neighborhood. As to Team USA: there's always 2030! read more

My co-worker brought me out to this bar to watch the 49er game a few weeks back! I didn't realize I never finished my review. Nonetheless, this place is great! It's a 49er themed bar, they had a live DJ and screens running the game all over the place. The vibes were vibing and although I'm not a football fan I'll definitely be coming around with her more often. We didn't have any food since we had a late lunch at work that day but from seeing nearby tables ordering pizza and wings it looked so good for your typical bar food! They have a full bar in the back but they also had a table set up out front for guests to order drinks there and not have to walk to the back which I think was handy. Be prepared to wait in long lines for the bathroom if you're here on a booked and busy night! There's three bathrooms available but like any other place with a busy night, there can be a long wait. read more

Rocco's has been around forever, and I usually go to the Culver City location. Honestly, all of them are pretty cool and definitely a vibe. This visit, the place was taken over by 49ers fans (which is cool... if that's your team). We were there in support great friends will do that. The pizza is hands down one of the better ones in LA, and the beer was perfectly crisp (at least the Coors was). Service was solid, especially considering how packed it was it was a lot of people. We also ordered one of the salads, which you can easily share between 2-3 people, depending on how hungry you are. Big shout-out to the waitresses for keeping up with the crowd--I could tell it wasn't easy. And once the 49ers lost? Total crickets . The Rocco's side is much more family oriented and very different from the patio, but still fun in its own way. We enjoyed both. Parking is definitely difficult , that BLVD is no joke. read more

BEWARE -- TERRIBLE FOOD & EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I ordered a pie for pickup, and when I got home, it was extremely soggy and not fully cooked. I called the restaurant right away, explained the situation, and was told by the staff that they would process a refund. The refund never came. Every time I called back, I was told that the "manager" would call me back. They never did. I even tried to make things easier and offered to come back and pick up a replacement instead of receiving the refund I was originally promised. I was then told to call the owner's personal phone number -- a number that doesn't even ring, and my texts were never answered. When I finally spoke with the "manager" again and asked for a resolution, she was extremely rude and told me she was "too busy" to talk to me and can't just give me a "free" pizza. Let's be clear: it's not a free pizza when I already paid for an order that was not properly prepared in the first place. I was promised a refund and simply wanted the restaurant to honor what their staff told me. It's not just about the food anymore -- mistakes happen. It's about how you treat your customers when something goes wrong. I would personally not recommend this place based on my experience. If you do decide to order from here, especially for pickup, check your food before leaving and make sure your pizza is fully cooked and prepared correctly. read more

Our waitress Mattie was incredible, she was handling a ton of people by herself, along with the dark haired bartender who was also very nice and helped us with drinks. I went to the nfl draft here in april, and we had issues reminding staff about our food, requesting beverages- and we're all in the industry, so like missing out on $60 of orders from us is missing on $20 tips basically. today, there was a world cup game. got there early- 11:40 for a 12pm game. i was solo, on a lunch crunch 1hr break. ordered 20 wings immediately. waited. waited more. an hour. no wings, no server to mention the wings to. finally, had to call it and flag down for a check. then had to be sure that the server was aware that i didn't get my wings- the clean plates and untouched napkins not being obvious enough. the kicker was the $14 charge for a 12oz plastic cup of pacifico. i'm not actually at a ball game guys, i'm at a sticky table in a bar that's seen better days and should price accordingly. read more

Rocco's has been a long time favorite to come watch the game or hang out, they have good food and wings. Rocco's 911 flavor is great and spicy, and fried zucchini and onion rings are crispy and airy. Over time though, Rocco's has been both increasing prices and springing hidden fees. 3.9% for non cash transactions. Credit card processing fees used to just be a part of cost of business but now more places just up charge the customer. Today though, we (2 people) had a few refills of diet coke and ended up being charged for every single refill. $24 for 2 diet cokes. Egregious doesn't even begin to cover it. read more

I have been to Rocco's a handful of times in the past and have been very happy with their delicious food, drinks and HH! So, when the first 2 bars I chose to watch football today told me they were standing room only I decided to try Rocco's for today's game. I called ahead to ask if they would even be showing the game that we wanted and also to ask if there would be a cover charge. I was told that they would definitely be showing the game I wanted (I had no idea this was a 49ers bar) and also that there was no cover, it would be first come first served. Great! Unfortunately, the service today was horrible. It was very busy so we were super patient and understanding, even though we finished all of our food before our fries ever came. I had to ask for our missing fries...twice! Then, we waited for her to come back because we needed ketchup...she never did so I waved her down & asked for it. Again, she never came back..so I got up to go find her and ask a second time for some ketchup. Our server only checked on us ONCE over the 4 hours we were there. I was a bit frustrated but again, understanding (I was a waitress for 14 years). Lastly, and the reason I'm even inclined to leaving this review is that once we received our bill (we asked 2 people before it finally came) I was shocked to learn that we were 1. charged for our soda water, NEVER HAVE I EVER (it wasn't bottled...lol) 2. There was a $4something charge for using a card (we didn't want to pay with card, we simply left a card on file for the tab as requested and they assumed, charging it before bringing us the bill) 3. We were charged 18% gratuity for our party of 3!!! (Unheard of!) and she also didn't deserve 18% for the horrible service we received. Do better Rocco's, credit card charge needs to be announced if you're asking for a card to hold on file. Gratuity also needs to be announced for parties less than 6. Game day or not game day. Just want to share that the Asian man hosting last night's 49ers game is really unprofessional and a jerk. I spent good money in their on food and drinks. I played the raffle to win some gear and he called my ticket and didnt even give me a chance to go up and claim it before calling another number. I've been to rocco's several times in the past year. While the service has never been the best, it was mediocre enough for us to drop in from time to time because it normally isn't unbearably packed. However, I experienced an uncomfortable situation with my friends today. It's Sunday, during a heat wave (104 degrees to be exact) and we show up to watch the broncos hopefully not get whooped by the seahawks again. There is exactly one booth open, the one closest to the doors. There are three of us, and as we go to sit, we are told that unfortunately that booth is being saved for a larger party and was told we could wait or check out jax's. While they do have outdoor seating, there are no misters or fans on the deck, to endure this type of heat. We were forced to leave. The disappointment is that we weren't offered to sit and if a larger party came, then we would need to move. Which we would have been happy to have done. Not that sports bars need to go out of their way to accommodate but to not allow us to sit three customers and lose business is beyond me. Management and waitresses need to do better. We went over to champs in burbank, where we feel more welcomed. read more

Because of the wonderful experience we had at the Pasadena location, we decided to come to this location for dinner. They had plenty of metered street parking. It was quite slow so we were able to have our pick of table. We were immediately greeted by our Nick, who was wonderful and friendly. He immediately took our drink order while we looked through the menu. Because the wings and calamari were so delicious, we decided to order them again, along with the Caesar salad. Again, the chicken wings - honey bbq and original flavor - absolutely delicious. Their ranch dressing is a perfect accompaniment. The calamari were also flavorful. Lightly fried and well seasoned. This is my first time to give a review to a Restaurant. I feel like I have to, so others will not experience what we've been through- very bad Customer service from the waitress name Madison. We got there waiting for someone to set us, and I asked the waitress (Madison) can on we sit on the bigger table there was 3 of us and she said you can but not the one I asked. So we looked for a table and we found outside sitting. We waited for 15 minutes for her yo give us at least the menu. The walked by us many times and helping all other tables but not our table. 3 customers just walked in after 15 minutes that we were there sit on the table that she said we can't have and she didn't say anything the same amount of people. Why Madison?! We moved to a bar type table because we were not comfortable sitting outside, waited another 15 minutes she keeps walking by us without even giving us a menu. I stopped her and said can we please have a menu and she give 1 there were 3 of us. I have never experienced this blatantly rudeness right in your face we are customers too. We asked another waitress if she can take our order for we were so hungry already. The one who took our order was Briana she wasn't even assigned to our table it was Madison's table. I started coming to Rocco's for the happy hour and ended up becoming a fan of their food. I have been here numerous times and have never walked away feeling let down. Everything from the pizza to the pasta to their wings are fire. What's also to be noted is service is always great. Servers are always attentive and make sure your glass isn't empty even when it's get crazy packed. Ambiance is nothing fancy, kind of a hybrid between sports bar and restaurant but well maintained. Crowd is usually pretty diverse but chill, I've never seen Rocco's get rowdy.
