Popped in here with one of my favorite people in the world, but especially LA. I'd seen Jax's next to Rocco's a few times, but never thought to stop in. Near the corner of Whitsett Avenue/Ventura Blvd - It's got a great outdoor patio layout with a mix of outdoor casual meets semi chic meet sports bar. The inside is very vibrant with a full bar on one end with seating and booths throughout along the wall... It's giving mellow nightclub lounge inside party on the outside. Arriving first I scoped out the place just a few minutes after they opened and grab a nice spot around the plants across from some heat lamps and long beach tables. Sarah arrived a little later and I just got us some water to start. We had some pretty okay cocktails. Paired up with the Mediterranean plate, veggies and Sarah's choice of Soft Street Pretzel... We had plenty. I didn't notice a lot of spelled out vegan options just a small couple by default as well as for vegetarian items. I expected a good amount being in Studio City. They do have a beyond burger... Not sure if they can modify salads (hold the cheese) or about the Buffalo Cauliflower... But seem like worth inquiring about. Our server was incredible the entire night. I'm/we're definitely grateful for her and a fun night out. Super attentive, friendly and caring. I remember she's from Chicago and might also be a manager here. Erin is astounding. The bathrooms are nice - gender neutral sink area in one part and individual use restrooms across from it. Natural small plant life meets earthy jungle vibes. Parking is street, meters are sparse but you'll get lucky, but a ride share is your friend. Open daily at 5pm throughout the week and as early as Noon on weekends until close. I've never really seen or gotten into the Vanderpump franchise, but we did run into Jax and he seemed like a decent guy overall. A bit surprised they don't highlight their staff as much as friends, patrons, and public figures. I would pop in again for a drink or happy hour situation... The margaritas are delicious. I'm not crazy about the food, pretty much the exact same menu as Rocco's next door. Bar pub style eats and bites including pizza, sandwiches, salads, wings, burgers, flat bread and loads of appetizers (like tacos). Trivia Thursday as well as Karaoke Mondays sound super fun. I know they do a lot of events here, including watch parties - but you can also book the space for private events.

    Perfect signage haha

Recently had a trip to LA and obviously needed to make the rounds at all the Vanderpump spots! Jax's was not the most convenient to go to but it is worth the trip! They have a fun location with various places to sit and hangout- whether you want indoor or outdoor. I love how they've decorated. It's super fun and they have a great selection of cocktails. Several TV's are available if you want to watch sporting events. We went on a Saturday afternoon and a good amount of people were also enjoying the atmosphere here. The bartender working was quick to help us and make our drinks. No parking but there were a few spots we were able to snag on the street nearby.

I have recently really gotten into Vanderpump Rules and The Valley. I was in the area and my co-worker (who is also a fan) pointed out Jax's to me. I knew we had to go over there after our event. We wandered over to Jax's around 9ish on Thursday. It was pretty dead for a Thursday night, but I wanted to just hang out and soak in the ambiance. So, it was perfect for me. There is a bar inside and seating area out inside and outside. I grabbed a drink and decided to sit outside. While I was the bar, my co-worker randomly asked if Jax was going to be there (as a joke), and the bartender acknowledged and said that Jax and Tom Schwartz would be there in about an an hour and a half. The fangirl in me definitely wanted to see them, so we decided to wait. The drinks were just OK (average for LA-adjacent prices). We didn't get food because we had just eaten, but I saw some other tables and it looked pretty good. The restrooms were disgusting. The bartenders were pretty nice. About 2 hours later, Jax showed up with a party bus (I guess they were doing an event where they were going to go to several bars in VPR with Jax's being the last stop). Once Jax showed up, the mood shifted a little. It was hard to get the bartender's attention because they were catering to the party bus (we wanted to buy a souvenir shirt but had a hard time tracking down someone). Jax was there and was not super welcoming (not surprising, but I thought he would surprise me). We left shortly after. But, on my way out, we ran into Tom Schwartz, who was super chill and he took photos with us. Would I go back here again? Probably not my first choice to come back here. But, if another VPR fan wants to go here again, might come back for an cast sighting.

Wtf is this "beer cheese" it was so bad. I'm sorry memaw.

While upon walking in the vibes were there, this place left much missing and I will definitely never be walking back in again. Ordered: 1. Amaretto sour. They clearly use a premade sour mix and the bartender didn't even bother shaking it. It was basically amaretto in a cup with ice. 2. Spicy marg. Gross. 3. Memaw's beer cheese. Memaw is probably rolling over in her grave this was so, so bad. It was hardened and scooped out from a tub that had probably been sitting in a fridge for weeks. Who serves cold chunky beer cheese?? The pretzel it came with was good tho. Service is fine, music was too loud for conversation, but music choice was good. Valet was 12 dollars. Otherwise it's street parking.

    Artichoke. It was okay.

Drinks 3/10 Food 6/10 Service 5/10 Ambiance 6/10 Bravo celebrity factor 10/10 The quick review: The drinks were terrible. TERRIBLE. The service was slow and unfriendly. The food was mostly good (honestly was expecting it to be bad and it was surprisingly better than anticipated) but let's be real, the reason you come here is to see Jax and others from Vanderpump Rules / Bravo. And for that, it was fun. Drinks: When I say the drinks were terrible... omg I can't believe what I paid. The espresso martini was... not it. The margarita was disgusting, overly syrupy, and just bad. But when I ordered the vodka soda... HOW DO YOU MESS THAT UP?! It was so bad. The ratio? The brands? The fact that they put fake lime juice in it when I asked for a lime on the side? I don't know but it was bad. Food: pretty good, for bar food. The truffle fries were the best we ordered. The sliders were simple but good. The artichoke was okay. And the Bianca flatbread was fine. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't great? When you're drunk watching sports the food would be solid, but if you're having a chill night, the food is just fine. Service: I totally understand that we came on a busy night, but omg the service was SO slow. We were constantly ignored (at our table - not just fending for ourselves at the bar) and when we were able to flag down a server, they were not friendly. Our food runners and bussers, however, were amazing and sooo friendly. Would I go back for a VPR event or sighting? Sure. But I would not come back for a random night out. Just truly not worth it. TomTom and SUR on the other hand? WORTH IT.

Sometimes a 3 star review is looked at as a negative. But I honestly had a positive experience at Jax's Studio City. In case you do not want to read a detailed review, my reasoning for 3 stars is because it is just ok. Would I go out of my way to bring someone here? No. Not because its bad but because there are better options out there. If you are a Vanderpump Rules fan, you should come check this place out at least once. The food menu was extensive which I appreciated. There were plenty of options which would appeal to many tastes. My party had Mamaw's Beer Cheese, Greek Salad, and some kind of Truffle Fries. They were all great but nothing to write home about. I would be curious to try some of the other food here as well. They seemed to have some other yummy options. Curious about the Beer cheese? It is a traditional Kentucky Beer Cheese and is served cold. The overall taste reminded me of the cheese that comes in the snack packs for kids with the little pretzel sticks. It tasted like American Cheese and no clear beer flavor. That might appeal to someone but it wasn't really my cup of tea. The pretzel it came with though was very good, soft and warm. The drinks I had were The Brittany: Sweet Tea and Espresso Martini. Both solid drinks but ultimately nothing amazing about them. I came here on a Saturday at about 3/4pm. It was a little slow. The ambiance is nice and the decor is nice as well. Again, I would come here if someone wanted to check it out or if we were nearby. I really wanted to be blown away. But ultimately I would pass for something else.

Came here on a Thursday night around 7, and there was a good amount of people. We sat at the booth under Jax's neon name, and it was a good spot. It wasn't too busy so it was nice. I got a watermelon margarita, which was super strong and had a watermelon after taste (not complaining) and Jax's Italian fries and the cheesy bread sticks. The fries were really good! The aioli was amazing. The cheesy breadsticks were meh but still somewhat good. The staff were super friendly! We left at about 9 and it start d to get more crowded (of course haha). My friends got Brittany's iced tea and the spicy margarita and they said they were really good and strong as well. Parking: there is street parking/meters and it was somewhat hard to find a spot. Will be back! Good fun vibes!

I highly recommend Jax's to watch a game, hang out with friends, celebrate events etc. All while enjoying their great drinks and food. The quality of service is amazing and our server Griffin was great and consistently attentive. I'm very happily impressed and will be going back. :)

Hands down best service! This was our first time here and loved every minute of it. Took the wife here for a day date and had an amazing time. The drinks and food were on point and didn't let us down. Our bar tender Griffin provided amazing customer service! The ambiance was great as well. I highly recommend Jax's.

The food was great! Hot and fresh and quick. The service was really great. Luma was our server and she was fantastic, extremely friendly. We had a great time celebrating my birthday and the drinks were good. They were decently priced and tasted good. The bartenders were great too and provided a great atmosphere/experience. For the area and today's prices, the prices were not bad at all to our surprise.

After wanting to give this place a try today we decided it was time. My husband and I are fans of both Vanderpump Rules and The Valley we had to give this place a try. We live down the street and were excited. It is an extension of Rocco's an already loved Valley restaurant. Once we walked in we were quickly greeted by a nice waitress. It was open seating at the time as we went during lunch hour so we decided to sit inside. The waitress quickly came to take our drink orders. I ordered the Blackberry Bourbon drink and it was delicious. We ordered the calamari as appetizer. We then ordered the 10 inch pepperoni pizza and the Mediterranean salad. It was all delicious. Our waitress was always checking in and making sure that we were ok. The ambiance was comfortable and good vibes. Can't wait to go back.

It's become so much more than just one of our favorite bars and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The biggest reason, though, is the people. Hospitality is something that's hard to fake, and the team here does it effortlessly. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted like an old friend. Over the years, the staff has created an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely personal, and that's something that's become increasingly rare. Matt, Sabrina, and the entire team are all such gems. Scott also deserves special recognition. He's a huge part of what makes The Rendition Room such a special place. Whether he's introducing a new cocktail, sharing the story behind a spirit, or simply taking the time to check in, his passion and care for every guest shine through. It's people like Scott who transform a great bar into a place you truly feel connected to. On our most recent visit, we tried the new Decade & Debauchery cocktail, celebrating The Rendition Room's 10 year anniversary, and it's phenomenal. Balanced, and beautifully executed. In a city full of great bars, they have managed to create something much harder to find, a sense of community. After all these years, it still feels just as special as the first time we walked in.

Although it didn't really necessarily show up as "the best food in LA area" but all the reviews were so good so I became curious to try. Mainly the reviews also raved about the vibes, services, and live music. Well, they were not wrong! It was fairly easy to make a reservation through Opentable, and I made a reservation for two people for my birthday dinner on Sunday night. I put on the notes that it's my bday so it'll be nice to get a nice table near the stage. I didn't have a high expectation, cos I'd never been to the place and I didn't make a call or anything. But wow, they definitely gave us a great table at the very front! As many reviewers had mentioned, the acoustic of the restaurant is really great. You can barely hear other people's conversations. There's a live jazz band playing, so you can really enjoy that. Although it made it slightly hard to hear what other nearby people say to you either, haha. Our server Dawson was a really great one! Very nice, very informative and just has a great vibe that made you feel comfortable to converse with him. We also asked if he could take a picture of us and he went above and beyond with taking our pictures haha. He took the table lamp as our additional "lighting". Such a great service! Dawson also made a few suggestions on food. We ordered the milk bun (so great!), the tiger prawns tostada (omg, my favorite of the night!), braised lamb pasta, pork belly risotto, and roasted broccolini. Everything was really good and really filled us up! We also got the "smokin old fashioned" and "Wake up and repeat" cocktails. It was plenty of food for us so we asked for a check. Dawson asked if we wanted a dessert but we were already full. He asked if it's ok to give us a lil treat for my bday. It was a really nice dessert :). Oh I forgot to mention that they also put a small bday card on the table for me. The prices of food and drinks are on the higher sides, but I feel like it's worth it due to the live music and the vibe. It easily covers the entertainment part. We definitely will go back and recommend this place for anyone who's looking into a nice date night or to celebrate something special. I was informed that Friday has more of a "party vibe" here, although it's still a jazz performance. Sunday feels more laid back :) Overall I'm really pleased by this place. I used to think that I don't care that much about excellent service as long as the food is great, but I was wrong. The excellent hospitality just made the night even better than expected. Thank you for making my bday dinner memorable.

Definitely swanky but down to earth vibes. I got the rasberry beret cocktail and it was different but fabulous. Not sure how else to describe it. It was refreshing. We got the tiger prawns and it was presented as a toasta, which had a great flavor and texture. The apple salad was also refreshing and a good portion to share between 2 people. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and my favorite after the tiger prawns was the Dungeness crab pasta. It had uni on top! The uni elevated the dish, and honestly there were a good amount of crab meat in the dish. Overall well balanced and creamy. The 2 of us left full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place for a date night. There's also plenty of street parking when we went but there is also valet for $15.

The valley is in need of a decent club, especially since City Walk has lost its nightlife appeal…read more This opens up an opportunity for someone to step in, but for now, we have to make do with what's available. Rain is one of the few remaining options in the valley, and while the competition isn't strong--Elevation in Van Nuys isn't really a contender, and Club Cobra serves a different crowd--Rain does the job. That said, Rain isn't the best club either. If you're in the valley and want something local, it's a decent choice. The venue is spacious, with good music on Saturdays, usually featuring popular hits. If you're just looking to dance and enjoy drinks with friends, it's perfectly fine. However, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone coming from outside the valley; it doesn't match the vibrant party scenes found in LA or other cities, but it fulfills the basic clubbing need. To make the most of your experience, I suggest getting on the guest list and arriving before 10:30 PM for free entry--it's $10 after that, but who doesn't like free? You can relax with a drink until the crowd starts to arrive around 11. Drink prices are standard, around $15, but they have a limited selection of beers, mainly traditional Mexican ones. If you're into craft beers or IPAs, you won't find them here. Overall, is it the best club? Not really, but it's a good option when you want to stay local and don't want to travel far. Until something better comes along, it serves its purpose. We had a good time there.
