Chia Latte and a Raw Dog !

The most memorable coffee shop in Morro Bay (: hospitality is like no other !! And the drinks are just a bonus !! I recommend 1000 percent !

I ordered the chocolate razzberry cheesecake Mocha. Wow. Sunday is my cheat day so I also ordered a (gluten free) coffee cake, lemon bar, and (smelled so delicious) also ordered the breakfast burrito! I'll WALK to church today to burn these calories. All delicious! Very coastal cafe vibe. The barista was very friendly. There were regular customers who were bantering away about the Tesla they test drove and how they ended up in Morrow Bay 20 years ago. They fell in love with Californa and the hidden gem on this secluded coast... and so will you.

This café was a wonderful experience all around. The staff were so friendly, even bringing out the food to the dining area rather than I'm just calling my name to grab it. I got a quiche, which looked delicious in the pastry case, and looked even more delicious once they plated and warmed it up for me, adding both avocado and salsa to it. They really care about the food they make here, and it shows through the care with which it is served, even a to go order, as well as the quality and taste. I love the location as well as the ambience of this place. It is absolutely the perfect beach, town, coffee bar, with an amazing little dining patio, where the sunshine is just right in the morning.

Very yummy breakfast bagel and great coffee this morning at Rock Espresso Bar! Friendly service and nice ambiance in and outside.

The cashier and barrista were great, so friendly and personable. I got a chai and a rock burrito. The chai really impressed me. I'm kinda picky when it comes to tea, especially with chai since I make it at home with fresh spices. This one is great. The burrito was good. The ingredients were well blended and the salsa had a nice spicy kick.

Our go to spot every time we come to Morro Bay. Customer service is great, Rudy and staff make you feel welcome and the quiche go get you one. I mean run, this was a veggie quiche and salsa was tasty too!

    Amazing savory danish!

Amazing savory Danish! Good coffee and reasonable prices. Lovely back patio for those looking for morning cup this is the place.

    The menu

This place was so quick and easy from our hotel. And the server was a funky dude that added a ton of humor and joked with everyone. We ordered the breakfast sandwiches and even my 7 year old said they were amazing!

Iced latte and blueberry muffin was just perfect. The outside gazebo was the right location for our pittstop.

Cute gift shop, decor with country tchatchkes, doing some minor handiwork during open time - was a bit distracting. Loud with echoes due to concrete floors. Lots of loud local conversations heard across the restaurant, including discussions about city council meetings, etc. 3% Credit Card fee not posted in the menu, but rather on the board at the entry. Some people might miss this posting, which is unfortunate. Sat at a small table even though several larger ones were available and no one waiting. Seem to specialize in breakfast, which I have had here before and it was fantastic!! Friendly folks. Bottomless sodas, but they were flat and tasted too syrupy. Could have also been diet even though I ordered regular. Green leaf lettuce so I ordered a salad with my bacon cheeseburger and fries on the side. I appreciate that the server knew it was cheaper to get fries on the side instead of the salad on the side. Fries were seasoned a bit too heavy-handed, the burger was great., bacon cooked perfectly. Server quick to refill soda as I ate my meal. I will probably return here, especially for breakfast, but will pay with cash next time. Clearing off my phone I found some old pics from Carla's, boy does that breakfast and sandwich to-go look great!!

We were lucky enough to snag the last almond croissant, and what a treat it was. The exterior had a sweet, delicate crunch, and with each bite, rich almond filling oozed out for the perfect balance of texture and flavor. It wasn't overloaded with powdered sugar, and the sweetness was just right--indulgent without being overwhelming. I also tried a slice of the salmon and leek quiche. It was light and fluffy while still feeling substantial and satisfying. The combination of savory salmon and sweet leek worked beautifully together. Whether you're starting your morning or looking for a midday pick-me-up, the quiche is a must-try. I was excited to try the house made mango-infused black iced tea, but unfortunately, there was nothing mango flavored about it That said, this bakery is still well worth a visit. Between the pastries and quiche, it is an easy stop to recommend when you're in Morro Bay.

I asked for a Mango something smoothie but no pineapple, be creative. The place has a good variety of drinks and edibles, sandwiches, salads, avocado toast, and on and on. If you don't see it they would probably make it for you. Now granted I was the only order being made at this moment and my smoothie was delivered to me as I sat at the bistro table out front. I was surprised how flavorful the smoothie was, I don't know why I thought that but it did taste good, a bit pricy. Right across from our table, our server was sitting at a two-top eating his food with his hands and licking his fingers. Without washing his hands, he got right up and went to the soda machine and from the soda machine yelled across to out table asking us what we wanted to drink and dropped them off at our table! To make matters worse, several other staff members kept walking over to his table to grab fries out of his plate while his food was sitting there. The situation went from gross to completely absurd when I asked for extra lime for my tacos. Our server thought it was funny to hide a whole lime under his shirt and roll it onto our table while laughing hysterically. He then pointed to a plate of food he was about to serve to another table, told me to pick the sliced limes off of that customer's plate, and walked it over to them. I felt terrible for the unsuspecting diner who received that food, and it made us completely lose trust in how our own meal was handled. The lack of basic food safety and respect for customers is shocking especially since I'm in the food service industry. I'm thinking the waiter needs to retake his California food handlers exam. We will definitely never be back.
