This store quite literally attempted to scam me. On June 5, 2026, I called for a quote to repair a flat tire on my bike. I was quoted approximately $32 for the tube and labor. I brought my bike in, and after the repair was completed, an employee wheeled it out front. I personally saw that the flat tire had been fixed. Because I live nearby, I told the employees I would drive my car home and walk back to pick up the bike and ride it home. Shortly after leaving, I received a text message from the store stating that the tire supposedly was not holding the new tube well and that they recommended replacing the tire for an additional $35. They asked for approval before proceeding. I responded, "I'll be there soon," specifically because I wanted to discuss the issue in person before authorizing any additional work. When I returned, I discovered that the tire had already been replaced and I was being charged for the additional work. The employee claimed that my message, "I'll be there soon," was interpreted as approval to install the new tire. At no point did I authorize the additional repair. What makes this even more concerning is that my original tire was apparently fine when I saw the completed repair, yet by the time I returned to the store it had somehow become unusable and needed replacement. I was never given a clear explanation for how that happened. To make matters worse, when I questioned the unauthorized charge, a taller male employee responded in a dismissive and condescending manner, repeatedly saying things like, "It's only $35," instead of addressing the fact that the work had been performed without my approval. The store eventually provided only a partial refund for the unauthorized charges. Performing additional work without clear customer authorization and then minimizing the customer's concerns is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I will not be returning. read more

So I take two of my bikes here for a simple safety check which costed $62 each and one of the bikes I brought in had a flat tire so they charged me $25 for the inner tube and labor which is a bit much but I guess it's not that bad. After I had dropped off the bikes they text me a little while later saying my other bike needs a new front brake and it would cost $30. I told them it was fine and to go ahead and do it, but when I saw the receipt I didn't get charged an extra $30 I got charged an extra $82 which is insane to me. If I had known it was going to be that much i wouldn't have given them the okay to do it but how would I have known when they told me it was going to be $30 and straight up lied. I was going to give them at least 2 starts for the job they did but the very next day I rode the other bike that they had replaced the inner tube for my flare tire and that same tire pops which has never happened to me so soon and fast. I had bought an extra inner tube so I go to change it myself and I see that these guys couldn't even put the inner tube in correctly they just shoved it in there like they didn't care, so no wonder it popped so damn fast. This Bike store has one of the friendliest , most professional staff out of anywhere I have been to recently. Every single one of the people working there from the owner / manger to all the kids that work in the repair shop are so knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive. When we went to get bike for my son's birthday, they didn't mind readjusting his training wheels after they were already closed and did so with such positivity. These people really came in clutch for me. Another bike shop happened to lose one of my front derailleur limit screws while they were working on it so I was calling any open bike shop with a 30 mile radius as well as driving to any nearby hardware store to see if they had a set screw that would fit. They were probably the tenth or so shop I called and were willing to take off a limit screw from a front derailleur in their spare parts box. When I arrived they didn't even charge me for it. Terrible customer service. So rude. I called to ask for assistance with replacing a BIKE wheel on my iron man stroller. The stroller only uses BIKE wheels. The representative who answered the phone kept calling the stroller a " trailer" and said he couldn't help me. When I corrected him and said it was a stroller he said yeah can't help you. I then told him I originally replaced the wheels on the stroller at another cycling shop and they were able to help me. He again insisted, "yeah no, can't help you". So incredibly rude and disinterested in helping me. You could tell he just wanted to get off the phone. This type of interaction speaks volumes of this business and the lack of quality service. I wish I had something better to post about this place, but every interaction with this place has been awful. Backstory: wife bought me a Specialized bike as a gift. She did a little research and thought this would be the best place. 1st issue- started riding my bike to work. On the 2nd week, I noticed the pedal felt weird/loose. Ultimately, pedal became so loose I stopped riding. Had to call for a ride. When I took it back, they said that it was a little stripped and would replace it. No charge. 2nd Issue - Bike was in the garage for some time because of my son being born. After some time, I went for a ride. SAME ISSUE! Pedal fell off again and had to call for a ride. Come to find out, the part was never replaced, even though that's what I was told, which lead to the second occurrence. The crankarm was put back on and tightened. I was then told that the brand that make the crankarm wasn't very good and that the only thing that was "Specialize" brand was the frame. GREAT! I was told the part needed to be ordered and should Receive a call in a week. It was also explained that they could cover the part this one time at no charge. Fine! Fast forward 2 weeks...nothing Called on the 11th day and I was told it was ready but there was no note to be notified. WHO NEEDS A NOTE TO CONTACT A CUSTOMER WHEN THE REPAIR IS DONE?? After going in to pick up my bike, I was the. Told I was being charged. Explained to the guy at the register that I was told there would be no charge because it was being covered under the part warranty, to which he replied, you're being charged for the labor. REALLY? I paid and walked out, furious. If your in the market for a new bike, AVOID THIS PLACE. Customer service = Terrible. Bike assembly = TERRIBLE. If you don't know much about bikes, chances are they will look to take advantage of you and charge you as much as they can. read more

Sales guys are ok, friendly and helpful. The service department seems incompetent. I've bought 2 mid-sized Specialized kids bikes. Both bikes were delivered with the brakes completely out of normal range. I had to adjust them myself. I just noticed one of the kids bikes was missing a nut on the wheel axle. Luckily, she didn't go flying off the bike. The other bike was delivered with the tire pressure well below normal range. Theses are simple things that should be checked before leaving the shop. Looks like I'll have to find a new Specialized dealer. read more

I first came to this shop for servicing on my road bike when I first moved to Orange in 2016. There was an asian fella (I do not know your name so I apologize) who was extremely helpful and genuinely interested in helping me ..sold! I came here two more times for minor adjustments and was left satisfied. Well, I now bring in a $$$$ mountain bike that I recently bought and when the person helping me at the desk heard me say that without even inspecting the bike said a full proper assembly/tube up would be necessary. Mind you, the bike is already assembled and just need minor brake adjusting since it's my first disc. I paid the $130 something for a minor tweak but that's not why this place gets 3 stars. The worse part of it all is that there was a short young lady with rbf both when I dropped the bike off and when I picked it up. Not sure what her deal was, but the worst experience one could give. Didn't know what she was charging me for, never once smiled or acknowledge my question about mtb morning rides, nada. I pick up my bike a few or so later and she's there with her rbf asking me what I need help with when she's the one that helped me in the first place. I cringed. I get it, you guys are busy, post-covid sales are up, but geez. To be so dismissive of a returning customer who has spent a over $1000 at this establishment. The other staff will not know of this but the girl Jocelyn knows exactly she's lacking people skills not to mention customer service skills. The younger guys are always great to talk to the times I have been here and this isn't a knock on them. I emailed the owner Ed, but didn't get a reply. That's fine. Ive been to other LBSs, they get the job done decently but sometimes come off very hostile. Through trial and error ive come to realize to not waste my time at these other shops, even when desperate. I got an awesome deal on a 2019 Stumpjumper during their recent tent sale. I also bought some great gear during the sale. Bikes can be a big purchase. You want to make sure you find the perfect bike that will excite you to ride for years to come. I spoke with numerous sales specialists while I decided on which model was best for me. They were all extremely helpful. They also had a large inventory which was great because I could test ride multiple models. I buy a new bike every 3-5 years so it's a big decision. In the end I bought the Carbon Expert model. After my purchase, and after a few rides, it needed some adjustments which the "crew" took care of while I waited. I buy bikes and gear based on price but also based on employee knowledge, attitude, and overall customer service. This team excelled on all points! I have walked out of many other bike shops that just didn't have that "vibe". Based on my experience I would 100% recommend this shop for your cycling needs! AOK. This place is AOK but is pretty expensive. Even for a tune-up or accessories and parts, I go elsewhere now. The customer service is pretty friendly. They sell bikes and parts you may need for any type of bike. It is also located with easy on and off accessibility to the 91 Freeway. You can grab a coffee at Starbucks or some breakfast at Corner Bakery if you decide to come here. On the same note, it seems whenever I called about tune-up times, I was told I would have to wait for at least a week. If they are so backed up, perhaps they should hire another body. Just my opinion. Call ahead. They are really good about giving you info over the phone. Overall, AOK. read more

I've been visiting each of the Rock N' Road locations for a while now and they are consistently knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. Bike shopping (gears, accessories, nutrition) is our new family activity and it's a lot of fun planning our next adventure! You can't miss this place when you drive uphill on Imperial, sitting on the corner of Santa Ana and Imperial, just near Jamba Juice. Learned about their Tent Sale this past weekend and got to check out all the awesome deals. Serious incentives! Super packed, despite the rain we had, so note-to-self, be sure to be one of the firsts to catch the best bikes on sale because they disappear fast. They hold the tent sales a couple times a year. Great staff here and highly recommend visiting this location for all your cycling needs or even if you're shopping gift ideas for your avid cyclist. Ask for Chris, Eric or Will, I believe they work at this location, but if you visit any of their other locations, Stu, Robert, Jeff, they are all really helpful. If you're new to cycling like I am, they will help build your confidence and trust in the best bike for you. These mountain bikes are some serious set of wheels, I thought, but I got to test out a few and had a blast doing that. Ready to invest in a mountain bike now.
