Went to this restaurant on a weekend night and I should've known something was off as there was no one but two other people inside. We were told to find our own seats, no problem as there was plenty of open tables. I order some 1 sushi roll, she order the steak fried rice. The sashimi which I thought would've come raw was actually cooked or it looked that way, (bluefin tuna). It didn't have any flavor and the portion was extremely small. We're received another order of some fish that I didn't order, but chose not to say anything. We then ordered 1 roll, and the steak fried rice. The fried rice only had maybe, and I do mean maybe 7 super duper small pieces of steak in it. Did I mention it wasnt hot and completely flavorless. They proceeded to bring me two different rolls, the one I ordered and one that I just asked about.... Neither were good and they tasted like the fish was old. When I did mention the extra roll, we heard her yell something in the back room. How they have four stars completely amazes me, as I would've given only 1 star but the service was fast, completely inaccurate but fast. She did take the one roll off of the bill but how do you mess up and order not once but twice, especially when we are 1 of only 3 in the place. I never make any reviews but honestly today I thought I should. I went in around 6-6:30pm my server was a sweet girl by the name of Megan. She was super energetic and great! She even suggested some great rolls. In between her was a bartender. She was blonde and I didn't get her name but I heard her speaking. She was telling my server and someone in the kitchen how "she doesn't play with her money" and how she "can't stand Karen's" "I'm from Jersey, get used to my mouth". This was disheartening to hear as I myself am from jersey and I would never speak in my place of work like this. All in all Megan was great, food was great just did not think that other bartender should be speaking that way on the clock. read more

This is a great place for first time or novice sushi goers. They have a unique twist on the rolls and have some type of rock n roll reference. They all taste really good!! We waited over 20 minutes for the wontons when there was only us and another couple in the restaurant. The waiters/waitress weren't attentive either. Did not have a good experience dining in at all. When we first sat down our server brought us water, then came to take the order. My boyfriend and I shared the ramen & sushi roll. Brought out the sushi roll and we had no silverware, we also had no tray for the soy sauce. We had to wait until our server came back to let us know that the ramen was almost done for us to ask for the soy sauce tray. Finally brought the ramen out and didn't bother checking on us until after we finished our food. Not once did we get a refill on our drinks either when we both needed one. read more

They definitely do delivery business, as there were a couple people who came in, and ended up waiting 30+ minutes. The sushi isn't bad, but I wouldn't go back for it. We tried two of the recommendations, but I forget the exact roll names. Service was a bit slow in general, would have bought more drinks if check-ins weren't 10-15 minutes apart. The food here was outstanding. We ordered two sushi rolls, and the jalapeño poppers. Both of the sushi rolls were unique and tasted great, and the jalapeño poppers were amazing. The service was fast and friendly, and the ambience almost gives you the feeling of being at a 80s rock concert. it is a little loud, but it is also a rock themed bar/restaurant so they play the part well. First time here and although service was good the sushi was incredibly average to below average had the punk rock roll and one other the crab log or whatever it is nothing but fake crab and fishy, the rolls were sloppy kind of dry and fishy which no good sushi should ever be. Amazing food! The crispy wontons were so different from what I expected they were unique & delicious. The trio hibachi was also another favorite! Very savory flavor with a hint of sweet, the hibachi rice was seasoned well and cooked perfectly with some of the rice being a little crispy 10/10. All the sushi rolls were awesome !! Me and my partner had different agreements on our favorite sushi rolls but these 4 you should definitely try * Punk Rock Roll * Crowd Surfer Roll *Electric Roll * VIP Roll, they all had a different delicious flavor. Their HAPPY HOUR menu sucks, at best. No sushi rolls or any good appetizers on the Happy Hour Menu, only Wontons. Don't be fooled by the Happy Hour flyer . The saki bomb Is only a shot, not a traditional Saki BOMBER. Usually one can get a Saki Bomber for around $6-$8, but here - you have to buy the saki at $11.00 and then buy the beer for an additional $8.00+. They also seemed overwhelmed, it took them about 20 minutes to even come and greet the table. We ended up leaving. You're better off going to a commercial sushi spot. This place just opened up a couple weeks ago and we finally found the time to give it a try. We're avid sushi goers and try a bunch of sushi places around the valley. I want to preface this by saying that we're from Hawaii and eat a lot of sushi. The interior was pretty cool and clean and the staff were great. However, the appetizer sampler was the only good thing we had. Most of the rolls contained cream cheese which was our first red flag. I can see how other people would like the food here but this was definitely not my preference. All the rolls seemed too similar, cream cheese being the main ingredient. The nigiri was probably the worst thing on the menu. If I could compare the sushi here to somewhere, it would be very close any basic supermarket grocery sushi. Very thin sliced fish and too much rice. I'm only giving one star because of the staff since they were nice but the sushi was terrible. Would not recommend. If you want sushi, you might be better off going to Fry's or Albertsons for a fraction of the price. read more

This place was like no other. The atmosphere of this place is unmatched but exactly like the name of it Rock & Roll. A true American version of sushi from the menus , to the speaker cabinets on the bar, the +5 TVs playing the music videos in high definition. My favorite roll is the VIP roll, lightly fried and warm but still can taste every ingredient inside of it. They are doing it right!!! Will be coming back! We've driven past this place several times and finally decided to try it. It never looks crowded on the outside which isn't the best sign; however the reviews seemed decent and we like to give business to smaller places like this. There were no customers inside when we walked in, a guy was at the bar but literally looked at us then began to walk away without saying anything..paused..then came our way saying we could sit anywhere. He seemed flustered. He ended up being our server. He asked if we'd been there before and rattled off the starters and mentioned a new drink menu. We looked over the menu, my bf & son ordered sushi, I chose the filet (medium) & chicken plate. They were satisfied with the sushi. As for mine, the portions were small, but my biggest complaint is that the filet (the quality did not appear to be that of a filet) was extremely overcooked. It had gotten more crowded while we were there and the server had not come back by for me to mention this so I just didn't eat the steak and when he did come over and asked how the food was he already preparedthe bill. So I mentioned all was good but that the steak was extremely over cooked. His response was like an oopsy face and that he did tell them medium. He did not offer to take it off the bill or see what he could do, etc. Just like sorry I know what you ordered and obviously noticed it wasn't cooked that way but tough luck. That's not good business. We let it go and if I ever choose to go back I would not order the steak..I advise others not to either and be weary if something isn't cooked the way you'd asked... you'll still be paying for it. My husband and I came in one time for lunch about a month ago. The service wasn't great. We ordered Miso Soup which we never received. We also ordered 3 different types of Nigiri which were good except that the rice was very heavy & dense & not the usual texture of good sushi rice. Knowing that they're pretty new, we decided to give them another try this afternoon. We walked in, there were 2 customers at one of booths & one gentleman sitting at the bar talking with the bartender. The bartender told us to sit where we would like so we chose a booth which was set with menus & chopsticks, but no napkins. After 5-7 minutes, the bartender came to our table, I asked her if they had Miso soup and she said "yeah, I think it's ready" so we ordered 2 bowls & drinks. While we were waiting for our soup & drinks, I noticed a gentleman come from the back to deliver food to the gentleman sitting at the bar, the server had his thumb in the plate. After setting down the food, he walked into the back again, hitching up his pants, tugging at his shirt & on his cell phone. We almost left then, we should have. The bartender then brought us our drinks and we also ordered the Crowd Surfer roll. While she was at our table, she asked if we wanted the seaweed in our Miso soup or on the side. Being a bit confused ( We have never been asked of that question before) she explained to us that some customers complain that sometimes the seaweed overflows the bowl so the servers now put it on the side (?!?!) We said we would like it in the soup. A little later, she brought us our roll & we asked about the status of our Miso soup. She said "it's almost ready, they're warming it up" (huh?!?!) By the way, still no napkins A few minutes later, she brought our Miso soup. The first thing that I noticed was that there was no tofu in the soup. Just seaweed sitting on the bottom of the bowl of broth (see picture). We then asked for napkins which she brought. I tasted the soup & it was beyond vile. Not even close to being edible. My husband said it tasted like microwaved cleaning fluid of some sort. We were both very glad that we had each only taken a tiny little sip. God knows what was in that bowl. I will say that the Crowd Surfer roll was quite good. We were ready to leave, and had to wave down the bartender to pay. When she asked how everything was, my husband said that the roll was good but the Miso soup is inedible and needs to not be served to anyone. Her response was verbatim "Hahaha, I told you it was bad! I told you the seaweed overflows the bowl!" My husband and I were appalled. I told her that it was appalling that Instead of apologizing or any other type of appropriate response, the only thing she said "I told you it was bad". She then stormed away without a response. She came back with our receipt & my husband's card, she slammed them down on the edge of the table & walked away without a word. As my husband and I walked out the door she yelled to us from behind the bar "have a nice day!" We will absolutely never return to Rock n Roll Sushi, and we will make sure that we spread the word. We heard someone (bartender maybe) say they've been open about a month and a half. We understand that new places have growing pains but our experience today was inexcusable and has nothing to do with being new. At this rate, they won't be open 2 months from now which will be a blessing. Please be warned about this place! read more

He help multiple customers their food and I have blood sugar issues I didn't think coming here was going to be an issue with service because he was easily helping out his other customers, but he decided not to help me out. I think the man was just sexist honestly because he only talk to the men. And I'm just kind of pissed off with what type of company would hire someone like that and what type of establishment this is not talking to two women because they are women. read more

Where do I start, Garrhett and JoJo were amazing! They are the only aspect saving that place. I had the wontons, VIP roll, and Jalapeno peppers. The manager let me try the seared tuna but I would not recommend although it was a sweet gesture. Scott was horrible! He was such a creep to myself and the staff. Decor was cool but that's about the only good thing. Our rolls were all ok, somewhat bland and nothing to make us want to go back. Service was extremely slow for a week night at 5p when there were only two other tables occupied.
