Ive been here several times and its a great place to go if you want pizza or a sandwiches. Those are the items that I have tried but they have a lot more! I usually get the single slices that they sell because they are big enough for me and it fills me up. I like that you can watch them making your food right in front of you. Their sandwiches are REALLY good! I really like the Italian sub. It's my go to when I come here. They make it really well. The service is always amazing. Never had a bad experience. The employees that work there are always nice and welcoming and they always go above and beyond. The place has plenty of seating inside and I like the posters that they have inside that talks about the history of the owners. I think that pretty cool! read more

My son and I were craving pizza after a fun-filled day at Legoland. However, my family and I weren't in the mood for pizza. So we have had the Hawaiian twice, pepperoni once, and cheese twice! All delish and filling! The Hawaiian is so checked full of pineapple and ham that you are tasting each with every bite! The food really has no business being as good as it is. The pizza is made well with great ingredients, and the Italian beef is delicious.

Pizza time. It was either this or Frazier Farms. I wanted to try something in the neighborhood and asking our fellow Neighborhood group on FB had lots people recommending Rockets. Not really knowing what to get I'm thinking you can't go wrong with the Supreme. Supreme has pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, onion, bell pepper, and olives. I did however asked that half of the pizza doesn't have pepperoni as that's a bit spicy for the little one. I also ordered their 12 pieces of boneless wings and garlic bread. Pizza, well it really took a long time to actually get the pizza. I guess I came on a busy night. During waiting we needed to use the restroom. Come to find out that they're also owners of the comic store. Cool. Yay for bathrooms. Alright so once we got home the pizza was piping hot while the wings and bread was room temperature. I wish they cooked those last since it took awhile to get our pizza. I did see our bread and wings sitting there for a bit while just waiting in the store. Sooooo?? Well the pizza was good but it was lacking sauce, it was a bit dry for my taste and felt it needed more tomato sauce. I did however really really like the boneless wings. It was cool they gave us a variety of sauces to try. The garlic bread was just alright nothing exciting. I had to toast it as mentioned it was sitting out for a bit. Overall although not to my taste but I can see why people like the pizza here. Wings and wings is what I'm going to keep getting next time. :) Yum! read more

The owners of the comic book and toy store next door have opened a pizza and sandwich joint in this Del Cerro strip mall. The plaza didn't seem busy with numerous open parking spaces. The menu also had hot dogs, fries, and salads as choices. I called ahead and ordered an Italian Beef sandwich and a Vienna Beef hot dog. Both items were facsimiles of classic Windy City fast-food staples. The hot sandwich included a choice of cheese (provolone was my pick) and a side of au jus on a toasted French roll. The Italian beef could have used some giardiniera as a relish to spice up the flavor. The au jus kept the meat moist, however the roll was rather dry. The hot dog contained tomato, yellow onion, mustard, pickle, and celery salt on a pretzel bun. It was neatly assembled and was the cheapest of the bunch at $7. They may have to consider lowering the cost of the other hot dogs to provide a better value. At $9 and $10, the prices were the same as the vast majority of the sandwiches which were far larger. I didn't try any of the pizzas so for the items I tasted, my rating was a 3.5 star experience which was rounded up because of the pleasant service. read more

I stopped by this place for lunch out of a recommendation of a friend who could unfortunately not make it. However, hunger is hunger and I need to eat, so I ordered a slice of the day, which was a works, and a meatball sub with Provolone cheese. I thought the pizza slice was good. The crust was of the thinner variety and offered a slight chew and a little crunch towards the thicker part of the crust. The sauce I thought was nice but a little more acidic than it needed to be, but if that is what they are going for, then I say do it. I like it mild, not to sweet nor acidic, or a good go between to allow the other ingredients to shine. Nevertheless, it was a good large slice of pizza for $3. The Meatball sub was quite good and I certainly favored it. The meatballs are house made and were well made. The had a good texture, seasoning, and flavor. I liked that they were to to soft or overly infused with bread crumbs, but just right with the right firmness. The sub came with a Provolone cheese and was doused in a house Marinara sauce. I would recommend they put more Provolone cheese so that it's not only more noticeable visually, but also flavor wise. I want to see the melting cheese oozing done the side of the sub sandwich. It's not a dream because it has happened. Great meatball sub. Service was keen and welcoming from the moment I want into the door. The owner owns the comic store next door, so I am waiting for a combined pizza and comic book special. read more

What a hidden gem! So I had an anecdotal experience. On my supreme pizza they forgot my pepperoni, sausage, and forgot to cut the pie, lol! It's fine though. The Pizza's quality and taste blow many places in the hood out of the water. The crusts structural integrity is great. Zero flop, great bite, but soft in the middle. Super hard to achieve in a thin crust pizza! The sauce is tangy and fresh, the cheese to sauce ratio is reminiscent of the greats such as cafe Calabria! Toppings are nicely cut. Better than mountain Mike's in San Carlos, similar to surf rider in la Mesa but with a more traditional approach. Strong attention to detail and great pizza. My wife ordered Rockets pizza a couple of weeks ago and loved it so we decided to order it again. We got 2 pies and some wings. My wife ordered a pepperoni with caramelized onions with extra fresh mozzarella and I ordered a pepperoni/sausage (the standard) Her pie came out great--I loved it as did she. I'm not a big fan of caramelized onion in pizza but they are easy to pick off... the sauce is simple and sweet, the crust was light and airy yet sturdy and flavorful the cheese was ok but the fresh mozzarella was wonderful. Most importantly--the grease was not overwhelming while providing great flavor and enhancing the chew... My pie, however was a major fail. Burnt from edge to edge. I ordered extra sauce on my pepperoni/sausage but it came over cooked and burnt. The whole thing was like toast -- dry through and through. No flavor. No grease. Nothing I wanted to eat. Nothing I could possibly eat. I tried to eat a couple of pieces but it was like eating pizza jerky. If it weren't for my wife's experience, I would not go back but I'm willing to give this Place another go. I have a feeling they took a pepperoni & sausage pie from the warmer where they keep pizza they sell Pizza "by the slice" and boxed it up for delivery since I'd be none the wiser.
