I was really craving some seafood boil and wanted to try this place out since it got so many good reviews and had a variety of locations. The restaurant is located in a plaza with maybe 7 tables? Inside-a little on the smaller side. The cashier who greeted us was super sweet and patient. Explained the menu to us and offered suggestions. We ended up going with the catfish and fries, spicy garlic noodles and combo 2 with 1/2 lb of head on shrimp and 1/2 lb of clams We just chose a table and they do offer aprons and gloves which I did use! They brought out all the food we ordered and omg the sauce they used is so good. I think it's better than any seafood boil I've been to. Spicy garlic noodles were maybe a little too spicy for me but still good if you can handle the heat. Catfish was nice and crispy, loved every bite. Cajun fries were also really good too. Ate 3 bites and I had to take off my gloves to picture this and do a review. This sauce is so tasty! I was shook but i think this is my favorite cajun sauce in town! It's not overly garlicky nor too buttery. And the sweetness is just right to compliment the spicy level. I'd even have the sauce with plain rice or noodles. Shrimp was not soggy at all, quite plumb and crawfish is decent size. Sausage is the only thing i didn't really enjoy but that's more of personal taste. I noted in my online order to switch up potato to another piece of corn. The staff reads notes, and service was fast. Restaurant is clean, at a convenient location. Wow. I was pleasantly blown away by their food...it's in the strip mall by Smiths and Handel's and I've passed by this spot many times and yet gad never really checked it out. I got their Cajun pasta plus their Cajun sweet wings. And OH MY GOSH. I was blown away!!!!! Any of these seafood boils really comes down to flavor of the sauce so I am really looking forward to trying out their shrimp and other seafoods in that same sauce. If you're looking to get some seafood boil in the South West part of Las Vegas then this is your place. I've seen this place driving by and realized this is the closest Seafood boil to my house so I decided to try it. And to my surprise, they had some really good seafood boil. We had 4 people, and went with the Combo 3, an additional 1 lb of crawfish and 4 rices. Personally, I felt like it was an adequate enough to leave fulfilled but I for sure think an additional 1 or 2 lbs would be just the right amount. Flavor wise we got medium and then got fire on the side. The medium is a good standard but the fire is what really brought all the flavors together. There was some type of sweetness in it, but for my tolerance, it wasn't completely spicy which is fine. The service is pretty simple since you order at the counter and sit wherever you like. They'll bring the food to you and can also assist you with any additional needs you may require. The decor is simple with a partial wharf feeling. We were the only people in the place so it was pretty quiet so I don't know how it would be when it's busy. Overall, I really like this place and as far as recommendations, I'd say come here based on their weekly special. They also have lunch specials and do to-go orders which I noticed a lot of people were doing while we were there. So we were here visiting from the Midwest and I had to write a review for this establishment. I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! The manager was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Our food arrived so quickly that we almost felt like they had read our minds. The manager was extremely attentive to our needs and went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant experience, which was much appreciated. I would have given it 5 stars, but the corn was overcooked, and there wasn't a crab bucket for our crab legs and our peeled shrimp. However, when we asked for a crab bucket, the manager promptly got us one and even lined it with a plastic bag, which worked out perfectly. I suggested they offer these with the seafood boils to make things neater and easier for guests, and the manager seemed receptive to the idea. Thank you for Rockin Crab. Will never go back!! payed extra for it to not be brung out! and when i asked about the mistake, once again only half of it was brought out and worked had a bad attitude when I said something about missing food after the 3rd time of messing it up. i also asked for a side of sauce and it wasn't brought out. I wish there was more sauce for dipping the items. Aside from that, it was just the right amount of food for the two of us. We got medium spicy, which was good enough for me. My husband wished it would have been spicier. As a note, the cashier mentioned that we could get it spicier if needed but found out after the fact that it would be $3 more because they would give you a side of sauce. That would have been nice to know upfront, but other than that, the service was great. The snow crab was a bit of work, so not sure I could get that again. So happy there's now a seafood boil place in my side town! I typically get crawfish, but they don't have that here, so I got the shrimp in a bag lunch special. I also tried the Rockin shrimp plate and wings during lunch, and those were good and perfectly portioned. Their wings had perfect crunch and flavor. The flavor of their house sauce is so well seasoned with all the familiar cajun flavors with a little added sweetness. We opted for mild since it was our first time here but next time, I'll probably go for medium. Mild had a nice little kick but I could definitely handle more spice. The staff was SO friendly and hospitable. I was ready to order everything on the menu, except "Thank You, Please Come Again!" We opted for Lunch Specials, so we can taste a few dishes. When I tell you........., the shrimp was tender, that sauce was everything......,, because I wanted it on everything!!! The marinated chicken was flavored to the bone!!! I don't recall seeing it, but I would LOVE to see a Shrimp Po Boy on the menu. On a toasted buttery garlic roll, fully dressed and drizzled with that sauce. OMG!!!! We will be back. I went to this establishment with another, about a week ago on a Wednesday. I wished I went by on a Monday, that's when they have a special deal with their combo item. We also received bibs and gloves since we were dining in. We ordered two Rockin' Combos - each combo comes with half pound of crab legs, half pound of shrimp, half pound of mussels, and a hard boiled egg, a corn cob, a potato, and a sausage. I got the mild version which has no spice at all, and that was very delicious. The Medium has a kick! I also got the spicy noodles and man ... they were spicy. If you're sensitive to spicy, go with the mild. I cannot do spicy at all. Food came out hot and fresh, and the flavors were unique and delicious, and touched on umami and aromas. The food was lighter on the sodium too versus other boil spots I've been to. I have a sodium sensitivity, so am always on the lookout for this. Hours after we ate, food was not sitting heavy in our stomachs either. The interior of the restaurant was clean and well kept, employees had great customer engagement. Food came out moderately fast. Awesome new seafood boil restaurant outside of Summerlin South! We dined here during their grand opening & took advantage of BOGO offer! Our party consisted of four adults & one toddler. The temperature was too warm for a late August afternoon. The inside temperature at the restaurant was about 79' F. Uncomfortably warm to say the least; especially while eating spicy seafood boil. We got the $60 seafood combo boil x 2. The medium spicy level was tasty w/ lots of large shell-on shrimp, one cluster of snow crab legs, and ton of mussels. I personally didn't touch the mussels because I have to watch my cholesterol level, lol! The combo bag only came with two tiny pieces of corn on the Cobb (1/4 of a regular corn). There weren't a lot of red skin potato either nor Andouille sausage. We also ordered kids chicken nuggets & fries, which tasted delicious without a lot of salt (healthier for my son). The interior was on a smaller scale. I liked the communal sink at the back of the restaurant. The White male behind the cash register was friendly. The business seemed to be short-staffed, judging by a few minor variables, i.e., no trash bucket for customers to throw away the seafood shells. The lady working there said she's still new and apologized in advance for not really knowing the menu since I asked her a question that seemed like it was from an old menu that they had online. She made our drinks and some other couples drinks but got them mixed up. She ended up giving our drinks to the other couple and their drinks to us lol. She ended up fixing her mistake but the lemonade my bf & i ordered was pretty good. Wasn't too sweet or sour at all. Finally our seafood platter arrived. Him & I were super excited. Upon looking at the platter I can just tell how i wouldn't like the sauce. The sauce has some odd spice for me that didn't sit well with me and it was just super oily compared to being saucey compared to other seafood boils i've been too. Right off the bat, the food quality was solid--everything arrived fresh and cooked just right, which is impressive for delivery. The seasoning was above average and packed a decent punch, but honestly, I felt like it could've been kicked up a notch to really make those flavors pop. Even though I wasn't dining in, the laid-back vibe of the place still came through in the packaging. It's a great option for a casual seafood feast at home.
