We were staying in the hotel next door so we ate at RRR for dinner and breakfast - breakfast is where the excelled for me. Classic diner fare, huge menu with lots of options. Really great staff that takes time to chat with you and make you feel welcome. Attentive service as well. They love their cowboys/John Wayne here, so fun decor to get you in the mood for pure Americana food.

If you are looking for a "quick" bite to eat off the I-5, this is not the place. This is the place to sit and have a conversation with your travel partners and enjoy the ranch/western themed decorations. You could tell that a lot of locals visit the establishments and have personal relationships with the staff. That is something that can be appreciated. Unfortunately we had arrived right after a large party had just left and they were a little disorganized. I asked the waitress which of two choices she would recommend, the Mossberg or the Bacon & Bleu and she said both were her favorite. I chose to go with the Mossberg. It was definitely a delicious burger. The sweet Tang of the barbecue sauce and the crunch of the fresh lettuce and onion rings all melted together with that cheddar cheese and a medium rare patty, just melted in your mouth. I had a side of tater tots. Crispy, oh so wonderfully crispy! The only issue I saw was the couple who had walked in ahead of us was still waiting for their food order after we had already eaten and paid. The excuse was the kitchen was still recovering from the gathering. I would have been nice to see a little bit faster service for them.

The decor, service, cuisine and ownership had all the desired elements we look for in a restaurant. We did not have a reservation, but they were so kind and accommodated us. We have a one year-old so it was lovely that their pristine ladies room has a changing table. I really like how the owner was overseeing the dining floor and his wife is the chef. Front to back coverage and family owned, in my experience, has the best eats! We ordered the scallops on a bed of lemon butter orzo with broccolini as our appetizer and it did not disappoint. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the broccolini Al dente just the way I prefer it. For my main entree I ordered the Gulasz wolowy the beef was melt in your mouth delectable. Their home recipe sauerkraut was the best I've ever eaten. (I've had some in Germany) My husband's entree of choice was their Lublin Schnitzel. (Similar to a chicken fried steak but with pork on top of a savory potato pancake sandwiched between mushroom gravy). For dessert we had a white chocolate brownie with berry compote vanilla ice cream caramel and fresh mint. While eating we let out groans as our eyes were meeting as if to say, without words, where has this restaurant been all my life?! (I'm well targeted having visited Germany, Mexico, all up and down Cali, road tripped across the U.S. and lived in Italy, New York and Southern California) So I have had some jaw dropping dishes in my lifetime. That being said I was completely astonished at how mind blowing this cuisine was! On top of the food the service, cleanliness and decor was top notch. If you have not eaten here you must. C'est la vie that this establishment exists in Red Bluff a stones throw away from where we reside. Thank God, we'll be back and thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner. They have a full bar with an extensive wine and beer selection as well if you drink alcohol.

What a gem in downtown Red Bluff!…read more Came here for the first (and certainly not last) time with a colleague for a late lunch. It was pretty quiet so we got our pick of seating in the open dining room with the bar running down the left side. A booth? Yes, please! We had friendly, fast service and delicious food. Can we just talk about the dill pickle soup for a minute ~ or seven?! I honestly wanted to order a vat to go. I almost did. Zupa Ogórkowa FTW! So unique and a must order. Very much enjoyed the fried okra and opted for two sauces: lemon garlic aioli and creamy horseradish. Crunchy, served piping hot and majorly munchable. What's not to like? I liked that we could get the cabbage rolls with both tasty sauces, although they weren't my favorite dish during our visit. Certainly a generous portion, though. My lunchmate had been here once before and raved about the Fall Farro salad, but alas, they didn't have it the day we came in. We opted for the Fall Goddess salad and it was delightful. I can't deny being disappointed that they weren't serving pierogis the day we visited, since they only serve them on Saturdays. Our server told us they spend most of the week making ~400 pierogis and they always sell out of them on Saturdays, the only day they're served. (Note to self: return on a Saturday, early in the day if possible!) Look forward to having an excuse to return to Red Bluff for more of that pickle soup and some pierogis!

The entire team was great, but Matti especially stood out. She was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. It's also in a super convenient location--right off I-5 and within walking distance of the KOA, which made it an easy choice for our group. And for all 10 of us, the total was only around $150--which is hard to beat. Great prices, delicious food, quick and friendly service, and a clean, welcoming environment. I would absolutely come back again!

Last I reviewed Applebee's here I wasn't very pleased with the promo they had ... but since that…read moretwo years ago, Applebee's has really turned things around and now I'm a big fan of Applebee's at all their locations. What did it is their new meal deal offerings, like this "Really Big Meal Deal" for $9.99 that includes a big 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger and fries and a drink. Also, I'm a bug fan of the 1/2 off happy hour appetizers offered from 3 pm till 6 pm everyday including weekends. This Red Bluff location was closed for a while for construction where someone got the bright idea to combine an IHOP and Applebee's together. So this place opens at like 6am now for breakfast, I guess on the IHOP side. I'm not a fan of IHOP, so I'm sticking to Applebee's. The "Really Big Meal Deal" for $9.99 isn't really promoted on the menu, so you have to ask for it. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, extra onions and tomato (no charge) along with friend and a strawberry lemonade. It was after 3 pm, so I ordered some onion rings on the happy hour 1/2 off. Hey a big platter of onion rings for less than $5.00, that's a deal! The food came out all nice and hot, by the friendly server. Service was friendly and competent, so that's good. The onion rings are the cornmeal coated kind, more crunchy than the puffy battered type. I like them both! The burger has plenty of bacon, tomato and lettuce. Cooked perfect, you order it "pink" here. I gotta say this is a big improvement for this Red Bluff location of Applebee's. At least I didn't see any people sitting around outside with ankle monitors on like last time!

The sauce lacked flavor and the pasta was incredibly overcooked, it was "gummy" and gelatinous. I really didn't want to take the leftovers home. And then the quesadilla burger that was ordered also was not great. The pastas were brought out first because they accidentally forgot modifications to the burger and had to start over. It was very obvious that they just rushed to cook the burger and get it out. Also wasn't a fan of the small gnat thing that landed on our wings. Shame I spent $100+ on this meal
