Came here after a long day of driving from Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase Escalante. The service was great, food was delicious and the beer was cold! Really enjoyed our experiences there. We also stayed in town for the night.

This restaurant has a great vibe, good service and good food. I got a southwestern bake with chicken, which was good although a little spicy for me with lots of peppers and onions. We split the bread pudding and it was incredible!

The kind waitress, margarita, fried chicken and garlic bread were the stars of our show. The potatoes and bread pudding are the honorable mention. Join the waitlist online, enjoy the perfectly funky decor and vibes - worth the stop, the food was just missing some important components on a few things. Wouldn't deter you from stopping in.

Downtown Kanab, great place offers wonderful food, cool vibe and fabulous service. Menu options are plentiful and the portions are nice. The margaritas are delisious.

Rocking V Cafe was the highlight of our stay in Kanab UT! We ate there 3 times! When our friends arrived we suggested they try it too. They loved it! We had to put our name on wait list, it took 40 mins. Then the next 2 times we were seated right away. Wait staff were friendly, professional and kind. First night we had rib eye steak, we shared. It was excellent! Husband had cowboy chicken, he loved it. He also had the burger for lunch but it was over cooked, dry. Our friend said the same thing, it was over cooked. They said flavor was good. I had chicken with tequila rice and jalapeño salsa. Excellent not too spicy.

The service was great. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Utah has lots of rules that we don't have on the east coast and none of the staff made us feel out of place when they told us the rules. Family friendly restaurant, with low chatter. Gets pretty packed. The food was really good. Cooked to perfection, well seasoned and yummy sauces. If you are from the east coast, skip on the cocktails (this goes for any cocktail in the state of Utah). Great for a replenishing dinner after a day of hiking.

Food was great with beautiful presentation! Harrison did an awesome job waiting on us! We were in Kanab for only 2 days and stopped in on our last night! Great experience.

AMAZING! We have done a few restaurants in Kanab on our few visits and this has been the best in our opinion. We went last night for dinner. Service was fantastic. The ambiance is pretty eclectic and vibey. Food was phenomenal. Between my hubby and I, we had the trout antipasta, bison steak and the Cajun trout. All delicious and huge portions. Butterscotch cake for desert. Huge gf and vegetarian choices and my hubby being GF, was in seventh heaven. I had the canyon cosmo and it was so delicious that I ordered it twice. Hubby loved his whiskey sour. The prices are crazy reasonable and am surprised with the quality they are offering, why it's not more. This will be a place we will come back to in Kanab.

4/5 Come for the gluten-free desserts, stay because your server apologized for the wait before you could even give them the look. Rockin' V Cafe totally rocked our gluten-free world. The staff knew what celiac was (bless them), and the menu had multiple GF options--including desserts. That's basically the holy grail for those of us living the GF life. We ordered: The Outlaw Margarita - bold, sassy, probably rides a motorcycle Whiskey Sour - no complaints, just vibes B&B Salad with Chicken - healthy-ish but still tasty Tomatillo Lime Chicken - limey, tangy, and a little spicy (like me on a good day) Service was a bit slow, but our server read the room and apologized before we could even start making passive-aggressive eye contact. Respect. We enjoyed everything outdoors on the patio which was clean and quaint. They do allow pups out there which we enjoyed. Would definitely come back--and maybe next time try all the gluten-free desserts. For science.

Stopped in here on our way to do some of the cool hiking trails around town. It was great! The staff were very friendly and gave us ideas on what to do around town and the interior was very cool. We will definitely be stopping in here again if we are in town. The food was good, I loved the potato's that came with the burger and the tomatillo lime chicken was pretty solid. Overall great experience!

We had just come back from a morning at Bryce canyon, finding to our dismay that food choices on a Sunday are few and far between. This looked like our salvation, and that turned out to be true I had the best steak there that I've had in years. The place is a treat for the eyes, as it doubles as an art gallery. A highlight of our western adventure.

Funky But Homey With Very Good Food..... My wife and I tried to get into Sego at 545 PM, but they were booked until 830 PM. So we headed for the Rocking V which had a 45 minute wait the night (Sunday) before. - Overall: 5 - Location: 5 - Exterior: 4 - Ambiance: 4 - Menu: 5 - Food Quality: 5 - Food Portion: 5 - Service: 5 - Price and Value: 5 - Parking: 5 - Location: Convenient. In the "downtown" area of Kanab in the midst of local stores. - Exterior: Funky. Lots of energy pulsing out the door. - Ambiance: Quirky, but homey. One big room with some outside dining. Music from the 1970s pumping into the restaurant added to a nice throwback vibe. - Menu: Interesting with several vegetarian and vegan options. - Food: No complaints. I started with the House Salad ($7) which was worth $10-12 for the size and variety of ingredients. My entree, the Grand Staircase ($21), was a tasty combination of vegetables presented (to me, at least) like a Southwest version of lasagna. Mildly spicy, filling and great. My wife had the Happy Hippie ($19)...a veggie burger with vegetables and a small house salad. She said "it's better than most vegetable burgers in California". For dessert, we each had a vegan Chocolate Mousse ($10). Excellent with no use of milk! For drinks, I had a Hops Rising IPA ($7) while my wife had a glass of Ecco Pinot Grigio ($10). Both were fine. - Service: Very friendly. Este, our server, covered several tables but always dropped by to check on us. Other servers were quick to remove empty dishes. Lots of smiles. - Price and Value: Very reasonable. The total before tax and tip was $92 and we ate like pigs. - Parking: No problem. Lots of spaces on the side street and some in front. The Rocking V has a good thing going. Fine comfort food with a twist and a quirky, friendly atmosphere seems to fill the place each day of the week.

We stumble upon this place after one of our adventures. The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was cute. It had photos on the wall. I thought it had a nice vibe.

Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.

The guy at the register was helpful in a genuine way- poor dude is sporting a shoulder injury, but didn't slow him down. I got the Cuban steak plate with the grilled onions, which was amazing! Only complaint is the beans were more liquid than beans, but there are never enough beans for me and they were flavorful. I poured the sauce on my rice and ate every bite. The tres leches is beyond amazing though! It's soaked, but not soggy with cinnamon on top. I got it to go and gave my boyfriend exactly one bite then claimed it all for myself. They also have a pay it forward wall where you can give an amount of money for people experiencing a hard time. While I was there someone came in asking to wash dishes for some food and the register guy made sure he saw the cards and got fed. That is something special for this business to not only not look over those in need, but go out of their way to take care of them. It really says a lot about the kindness of owners and employees.

The only comment I received from him was that it was very good. 3. Steak sandwiches- Slices of tender sirloin steak, wrapped in deliciousness. 4. I had the double western cheese burger.
