Austin and his employees are knowledgeable, smart and incredibly helpful. Many shops I went to would not even entertain helping me because I did not buy the bike from their shop. Bikeway in Hanover went out of their way to help me, above and beyond anything I expected. I have learned a lot from this experience. Many of the bikes sold on the internet may be less money but in the end if you can't get the bike serviced, what good did it do to save a little money. I'm going to buy another electric bike which will suit my needs better than the one I bought and will rely on Austin and his employees to guide me on the best bike for my needs and I know they will be there to help me with all the things that an electric bike requires and never let me down. Thanks Austin for all your help

I messaged Bikeway and the owner, Austin, answered quickly via email, happy to help. Turns out my tires were already tubeless (whoops!), but Austin helped me with the back wheel, which had a problem with the tubeless seal. He also took the time to ask a few questions about bike fit, for example why my seat was angled a certain way (no reason -- I just put the seat on and don't know what I'm doing). He adjusted it to be more comfortable for longer rides. Despite being busy, he got to work on my bike and finished the same day which saved me a longer drive back to the shop the next day. This shop is very professional, and the owner is a cyclist himself, very down to earth, and genuinely wants to help in any way he can do make sure the customers a good time on the road / gravel / trail. I would recommend giving them a shot for service or stopping in to talk to Austin if you're in the market for a new bike.

Ended up leaving with a bike that functioned good as (if not slightly better) than new. I'm not even kidding! More on that later. When I had brought the bicycle into the Bicycle Clinic for the flat repair, the person I assume was the owner told me, that in addition to fixing the flat, for safety he will have to ensure that the bicycle will be safe to ride. The service may come off as a little bit gruff/to-the-point, but don't let that detract you. I'd take slightly gruff service any day over falling off my bike due to mechanical failure whilst in traffic. I went in with a flat tire, and I left a couple days and 50 bucks later with a smoothly functioning bike. Better than new explanation: When I bought the bike new many years ago it worked great, however the 1-2-3 shifter was a little bit too tight. When I had gotten the bike tuned up (elsewhere) a couple times, this was never addressed. No big deal, I didn't mention it, and just kept the shifter a little shy of the second gear or third gear. When I collected my bike from the Bicycle Clinic, the gears finally worked as they're supposed to! This was in addition to things like tightening the brakes, oiling the chain, and I'm sure another little bit of PMCS (Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services). The owner gave me a little guidance of how to keep the bike running in tip-top shape, and when I was mounting it to my car, ran out and gave me a suggestion on how to attach it to prevent drive-train damage. Overall, a great experience, and a great value considering the scope of work and a cost of $50. Absolutely would use Bicycle Clinic again for all my bike repair and PMCS needs.

For my shopping "tastes", this store is just too vast and overwhelming. It is a sea of merchandise. Well organized yes but just way too much stuff to take in. Despite all the "stuff" I didn't see bargains of any note...in fact...and this could just be me ...but I was astonished to see Nike women's sweatpants for $110.00. That seems like a lot of dough to lay out for sweatpants. I'd skip the name brand and the Nike logo and look for another deal. Better yet, don't wear sweatpants unless you're in the gym or running outside on a cold day as I am not sure who they are flattering on and I am so over seeing people running around everywhere in ill-fitting sloppy looking gym-wear. But for the gym-goers, and exercisers of all kinds, you will find all manner of clothing and equipment here...a fairly comprehensive seeming selection whatever your sport of choice might be. They also sell, t-shirts, specialized sports' shoes, lots of coolers and water bottles including the in my opinion ridiculous looking and now viral Stanley water bottles that everyone seems to be lugging around...tons of those! (I just read that in California there is a class action suit pending on these Stanley water bottles as the company has acknowledged the sealing material used for its vacuum insulation contains lead). I didn't see many staff throughout the store. The staff I did see seemed to be congregating up front so if I had had a question there would have been no one to ask without traipsing back up to the front where the registers are. And in a store as large as this, that's a pain. There are so many other places to get most of the things sold here but with better service and for me, with a more manageable store footprint and experience. If I'm not going to get a bargain, I'd rather spend my money at a smaller store with attentive service. Tom didn't find the neck gator he was looking for so we left without purchasing anything but for me, I can't imagine why I'd return.

I was told to come back tomorrow. I tried calling the next day, but nobody answered the phone so I showed up they didn't remember me. I came back the following day called again. No answer showed up didn't know who I was again reminded him an went to get my scooter ready for me to take one problem, though there was no charger with the brand new scooter. He could not find it. Lights are on went to the front and back entrance. No sign of anyone one last check I see the guy who sold me the scooter in the window. I motion to him to come over. He comes over. he lets me in. I tell him about my scooter, he tells me to bring it in. I told him the back brake is no longer working, and my rear tire was making a grinding noise. He told me I could leave it to fill out my information before leaving. I asked him when he thought somebody would be able to take a look at it and he told me about a month. He stated the technician wasn't in today and that they had a backlog of scooters that needed to be repaired, which he pointed to in the corner and then told me there was multiple down in the basement of the same model. I told him that wasn't an option for me to wait over a month and that the scooter is still under warranty for another five months he tried to refer me to a scooter shop in Cambridge, which I live nowhere near and not paying for something that was under warranty. I then asked him what to do and he told me to call Segway the scooter company. And then again referred me to the scooter shop in Cambridge, which I had to reiterate that was not an option and I am not paying for something that is still under warranty. I asked him for Segway's number which he told me he did not have and to "Google it". My only dealings with this place twice have not been good and not the best customer service to say the least. Scooters were $1100 with tax and are under warranty for another five months and they are telling me I have to wait over a month to even get it looked at. Unacceptable!
