Nice craft beer selection including a light Mexican lager and a rarely found Kolsch style, both were excellent. The southwestern egg rolls which come with a habanero jelly are very good and highly recommended. Came back next day and thumbs up on the creole burger. A unique taste and the brioche bun is a hit. We went to Rockslide Thursday night. We got seated right away. The server was friendly and gave us good information on the menu choices and beer. I had the shrimp and blackened chicken rice special and it was delicious. My husband had a bison burger and sweet potato fries. He liked the blue cheese sauce on the burger and the Parmesan topping on the fries. He said it was cooked perfectly. My mother-in-law had the turkey croissant and said it was great. We liked the beers that we tried too. They had a farmers market on Main Street with some live music. Very fun atmosphere! read more

We ordered a LOT of food between us all - pecan crusted chicken salad, Mac n cheese w burnt ends, nachos, ahi tuna app, and shrimp tacos. All of it was amazing! We ate here when we stayed in downtown on a recommendation from the hotel. We had a party of 8 so when we got to the restaurant approx 8p there was a wait unless we sat in the bar but had to leave by 10p since we had kids with us. We sat at a table in the bar for 5 minutes before anyone came to greet us. When the waitress finally came, we ordered drinks which then took another 10-15 minutes to get. When we ordered, we were informed that a couple of the items are pre-made and modifications couldn't be made, which does not work good when you have food allergies. After ordering food took about 30 minutes to get and was okay it didn't have much flavor. Nothing I would need to go back for. Then we asked our server for our bill, she brought it relatively quickly, we looked at the bill gave her 2 credit cards and asked her to split it equally. About 20 minutes later she brought the bills back and the split amount were $20 more than the original bill she brought us. We tried to get her attention to see why, but after 5 minutes she never came back and it was just about 10p so we needed to leave. We ended up just leaving her less of a tip since we couldn't get her attention. So watch your credit slips and compare them to the original receipt. read more

We stopped through Grand Junction and this place was close to our hotel. All the staff was very nice and helpful. The food was amazing! Salmon fish and chips (not cod), bacon burger, and jalapeño burger were the best we have ever had. I got their amber beer and that was also good. I highly recommend this brewery. read more

We visited Rockslide to try their beers and were pretty disappointed. We tried a few tastes before deciding on their Hop Mess IPA. It was the only beer of the three we tried that was any good. The other two were ordinary and lacked character. The service was horrendous. Either they were understaffed or the staff and bartender didn't care. We waited 15 minutes to get our tastes and then another 10 minutes for our beer to arrive. The only thing our server, Yvonne, brought quickly was our check. read more

I wasn't going to put this in a review because things happen and it shouldn't necessarily reflect negatively on a good restaurant. However, that all changed when I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager who was very much dismissive and basically informed me that he's an expert on food borne illness and because it didn't take me eight hours post calamari to feel ill and violently vomit for three straight hours that I must have become sick someplace else. After I pushed back on his reasoning and explained how it was impossible for it to be anything else and that I hoped for an apology and not the brush off, he apologized. But still very much dismissive and did the whole "mansplaining" thing to me and that is not OK. Server was awesome. Very attentive and kind. My two guests thoroughly enjoyed their food and they didn't become ill - they also didn't try my calamari. Regardless - I ate calamari. I become violently ill. Doubled over in pain. Vomited for three straight hours and it's because of the calamari. Manager blew me off despite him telling me he is sorry I was sick but took zero responsibility and was extremely dismissive. Go there and enjoy the food. Just don't eat the calamari. Unless you like puking your guts out for hours. read more

To start our celebration of ladies weekend, we decided to stop in for lunch and a drink while exploring downtown Grand Junction. The ambiance is downright relaxed and chill. This microbrewery offers a variety of beers. While a couple of us opted for the Horsethief IPA, others in tried the Wheat. Both were great! Some of us decided to split the grande nachos, topped with sour cream, guacamole and salsa! The rest of our group opted to share shrimp and fish tacos. Both apps and entrees were amazing! If you go during the week, it isn't as busy. On the weekends it is crazy busy, but surprisingly service and the staff is still fantastic. I've never been disappointed with the food, and it's always fun going there. The only downside is that the drinks are overpriced. read more

It was just okay. I tell everyone breweries have the best food and sadly, this wasn't the case here. My boyfriend and I both ordered their special which were Mahi Mahi tacos with a side of yellow rice with corn in it. The tacos were decent. The rice was over/undercooked...all I know is it was crunchy and not great, considering it was the special for the day. The beer menu was good. Lots of different options for beer, wines, cocktails, etc. Their pale ale was very hoppy and reminded me of an IPA. Not bad by any means but not what I'm used to.
