I went in today to get an oil change and my fuel filters changed on my truck they informed me that they was not able to change one of my filters (the bottom fuel filter) due to the fact that they didnt have the correct tool to remove the bolt to complete the service. They stated that the last mechanic tightened the bolt too tight. even though the last mechanic that replaced my fuel filters was from the SAME SHOP. They stated that the pulled up the invoices thus year and it didnt show that fuel filters was replaced on my vehicle there. I was able to check my email to find the invoice that showed that they were the ones that replaced it in January. I was not provided any assistance only that I could purchase the fuel filter and go to another shop and pay them double to put my second filter on which doesn't make sense. Not to mention when i returned to my vehicle it was still showing that the oil changed need replacing as well and no updated sticker was put in my windshield. one of the mechanics did reset the sensor and switch out the sticker and told me that they have a certain amount of time that a vehicle can be in the bay and they had to go ahead and get the next car in. I had an issue with my other vehicle that I informed him when getting an oil change my Dipstick was broken and was told that I would need to buy another dip stick no assistance from them. she informed me that if the perform an oil change and the dip stick is broken they charge the customer to get the dip stick replaced. I feel like things are being done on purpose so that people have to come back for more repairs. This is not how you do business. read more

I have been to this location for over 10 years and my last oil changes I had to return my car back because they forgot to tighten the oil drain bolt and the next time they forgot to put a gasket on the drain bolt and I leaked oil again in my garage. It's an oil change NOT complex work!! I am done with this location and will not use them - no attention to quality or Workmanship. Save your car go somewhere else. read more

This is NOT an official Valvoline shop. They only USE Valvoline products. Very unorganized with inexperienced hires. Guy who checked me out gave me the runaround on which coupon to try and use. Just to clarify - I had a coupon for this location. I made the mistake of thinking it was a Valvoline location - based on Valvoline plastered on the signs and it looks very similar to the actual Valvoline off of I-30. Didn't honor the coupon - never contacted me. read more

Well, in retrospect I should have been looking at the Yelp reviews! My wife has taken all three of our cars here for oil changes and said they were okay. I took one of them in today, August 8, and found out the truth. I agree with Shannon S., Poor service indeed! One employee told me they were short handed so it might be an hour before they could rotate my tires. About thirty minutes into waiting another guy with a stringy beard comes in and asks me what I was there for. I told him a tire rotation, he said not today. So hopefully he if he's the manager or the manager reads this. NOT EVER. So I guess no more Rockwall Express Lube featuring Vavoline. If this is what valvoline stands for no more valvoline either. Would give a negative review if there were negative stars to give out. read more

Wanted to get my oil changed here. I thought it would be fast and convenient. I drive a little 4 cylinder Kia; it's a small car. They wanted $40. As the 1 star rating indicates, "Eek! Me thinks not." I have a coupon for an $18 oil change and tire rotation from Firestone. I felt too lazy to print it out (because I'm out of toner), but suddenly I'm very inspired. read more

the team that works here is unlike one i've never seen before! from the management to a service tech guy they are all so attentive, smart, helpful and reliable! i have been coming to this location with my two cars for almost a year now and Bruce the gm is UNMATCHED. this man is not out here trying to take advantage of women with little car knowledge he will tell you you need something WHEN YOU NEED IT! I've used this facility a number of times for my inspections. Today I needed an inspection and a last minute oil change after a long road trip. Since they don't carry my manufacturer's recommended brand which I've used since new, I brought along my own with a filter. After I informed the manager of the service I required, she stated they will NOT use oil or filter a customer provides! I should have left at that point but figured I'll get the inspection now and have my dealer change the oil next weekend. When I returned for my car I was informed it failed inspection due to window tint!? I informed the manager she passed this car the last three years and now they won't with the same tint it's always had⁉ At that point I paid the 40.00 for wasting my time and had the inspection and oil service (with my oil and filter) done down the street. read more

Ok perhaps the synthetic oil might make sense. Maybe the "best" wiper blades might have been worth it. But the "You need an oil flush was a pure scam." Look it up! Worst experience I have ever had getting a oil change. Terrible customer service. One man pointed for me to pull behind bay 2 then no one spoke to me for another 10+ minutes. All of the guys were not communicating well with each other. Finally pulled up. No one mentioned a lobby so I stayed in the car while it was serviced. Guy told me my air filter was filthy then showed it to me. No...not filthy. He glared at me when I declined a new one. He asked me what oil I wanted. I have no idea. I asked him THREE times for help choosing and he eventually rolled his eyes and asked if I just wanted the cheapest one. What I wanted was help. At the end I hand him my coupon only to be told "that's the other location." That's not fault. I get it. But both locations are in Rockwall off I30 and apparently it happens a lot. You would think maybe they would offer $5 off to be nice. Silly me. Never going back again. read more

I will start off by saying Valvoline Express has lost a customer forever and I will pass my experience with your establishment to everyone I know! I have gotten my oil changes and state inspections done here for years. I stop in today to get the oil changed and a state inspection done. They tell me my Ford factory tint looks too dark and they will not inspect it. This is the same tint they have been passing since 2016. They have no equipment to test light transmission, just go off what they think. Unacceptable! read more

Please don't go here. I have an old truck I keep around for house and garden work. I do take care of it so I went for engine and tranny oil changes plus other things needed. Charged for tranny fluid change, wiper replacement, air filter replacement. Got home and realized he did none, swears he did. Lawyer is more than the parts so I did them myself. They are a 15 watt bulb in a 100 watt room!! read more

This shop is fast and convenient, run by it's owners and is not a chain store. I appreciate that they meet me in the parking lot to see what work I need done. Their prices are in line with other local stores, Kwik Kar is $10 cheaper for a standard oil change, but will hit you with all kinds of extra charges and end up costing more than Valvoline. I service three vehicles here and have never had a problem, and more important at least to me, I've never been upsold for air filters, wipers, or other additions like other shops will do. The above reviewer's comments and rating don't make sense to me since they didn't actually receive the service they're reviewing. read more

If I could press zero stars I would, came here for an oil change they didn't put enough oil in my car blew my engine took it back to the owner and he said it wasn't his fault then went directly to Car dealership payed $500 for my engine to be lifted and they said it was due to no oil or not enough oil put in the car after your oil change they pulled all the vehicles oil change records and said it had to been your last oil change your car with only 80,000 and consent oil changes you should have never burned oil!!! I went to get an inspection on my vehicle and the guy says put your keys on the dash with you insurance like it was no problem. I waited over 30 minutes and the car hadn't been touched. I walked out to see what was the problem and the guy said that I was next in line. There was no car in the inspection bay and there were a lot of employees standing around. When I go to a place and it is going to take a long time to get service I expect someone to say " its going to be some time before we can get to you" instead of wasting my time in a waiting room. Just a little common courtesy is what I expected and I got none. I will not go back to this place and I will discourage anyone that asks me about an oil change not to use them. read more

Owner and staff were efficient, timely and courteous. I needed a boat trailer inspected. It took all of 7 minutes. It took longer to pay than the great employee, Bruce, took to complete the inspection. They were helpful in guiding me to a parking lane, completing the inspection and completing the transaction. This Marlin guy damaged my car to the tune of 8$841.00 while I watched him. He couldn't figure out how to get the air filter housing on and off and broke pieces off it. Then he tried to tell Dusty at rockwall Toyota that one of his employees did it which is a complete lie. He refuses to pay for the damage to my 2011 Toyota Venza. I've had to hire a lawyer. He did tell me he could super glue the housing back together!! No lie. This man is so wrong on so many levels. read more

I went there for an inspection on my Bran new (3 years old) vehicle, I checked everything out before I went to this place, I was a state inspector for several years, My car was legit and ready for inspection, I Looked at my wiper blades before going to get my vehicle inspected, they were fine, To my surprise, they failed me for bad wiper blades, I explained to the gentle men there that I checked everything out fully before I came, That I am still currently a licensed State Inspector, and then instead of acknowledging me with anything valid, They simply asked me why I didn't go to my place of employment (30 miles away, 30 minutes before shops close down) When I explained to them that I didn't have the time, they accused me of lying. Then when i reluctantly spent the 16 dollars to have both of my wiper blades replaced, They told me my monitors weren't ready and failed me, I had driven over 300 miles that same day, right before going to the shop, It's a bran new vehicle, with super low miles, I work at a shop, I maintain my vehicle better than most people have the ability to maintain their vehicles, The only way the monitors could not be ready is if the battery cable was removed for a moment, or certain relays were removed briefly, I know for a fact that my car was legit and ready to inspect, they straight up tore my wiper blades so they could make commission, and when I called them on it, they found any which way to fail my car, I am going to spend much time in the very near future trying to make these people accountable, When I told him that I knew i shouldn't have come here, I told him it was because the horrible reviews I found online, He asked me to show him, So I did, and then he tried telling me that these reviews were from stupid people who didn't know what they were talking about, Then he told me the reviews on their webpage show good reviews, I asked him if he knew what the word "biased" meant, and He didn't. so... there is that, I am not stupid, And I am here posting a review of this Marlin guy's horrible ability to preform his job. No customer service. I ask my wife to meet me at their store so I could drop my car off for service. When sh pulled in they came to her car and ask if they could help her. She stated she was waiting for me because I was dropping my car off for service. They said she needed to move because those spaces were for customers. She said yes my husband is the the customer. They said she needed to move. Finally as she is in near tears she moves. As I pulled in there were about 6 empty spaces. Needless to say I did not drop my car off, nor will I ever. Rockwall has better and deserves better. read more

After a few words exchanged, I grabbed my keys and left......now I'm an America Citizen and its sad to see what this country has become. This country was founded by immigrants including Europeans. We don't see or hear the true land lords (American Natives) of this great nation, treating citizens like this. No one deserves this kind of treatment.
