Stay away from Rockwall Ford Body Shop at all costs. I recently purchased my vehicle (July 2018) from Rockwall Ford; and shortly afterward, I was involved in a minor rear-end collision (August 29th) in my 2018 Ford Edge. I decided to use the body shop at the dealership, because I thought they would do the best job. I brought my vehicle in on August 31st to be repaired. I needed a new bumper and the hatch had to be fixed. After three and half weeks of it being in the shop, I was called and advised my vehicle was fixed. Once I arrived to pick up my vehicle I looked over my car and saw the bumper lining did not meet the edge of the hatch and there was a half-inch gap. I then opened the hatch for the first time since the accident (I was advised to leave it closed by the shop), and there were dents all along the bottom side of the hatch door. I looked at Shawn Barge, the Collision Manager, and showed him the damage. He stated "Did you show us that damage when you brought the car in"? I advised him that would be impossible since Shelby Chandler, told us not to open the hatch door because it probably won't close again. I asked him if they conducted a thorough inspection of the vehicle before repairs were done and after repairs had been completed. He said they did but didn't notice these problems. Inside the back of my vehicle, at time of delivery, there were dirty foot prints along the lining inside the car. I only had my vehicle for 6 weeks when I was rear-ended. Two and half weeks later (October 11th), my car was finally fixed. This only happened after I complained to the Public Relations representative of Rockwall Ford, Sheila Anderson. The Collison Estimator, Shelby Chandler, does not keep in touch with you, and when you call her, she never answers her phone. She doesn't follow through with what she says she will do or has done. The office is run by a misogynistic manager, who could care less about his customers. I find Rockwall Ford Body Shop and their representatives, (with the exception of Sheila Anderson), to be unprofessional, untrustworthy, disingenuous, uncaring and rude. It took six weeks for minor repairs on my vehicle; luckily it wasn't my insurance company paying for this. I would NOT recommend this repair shop for kind of service repairs. Give your money to a company that appreciates your business. read more

I recently took my durango for light replacement and dents removal I was very please with Shellby Great Costumer Service she walk the extra mile for me. I was updated every step of the way.I had no problems they took care of me I will definitely recommend this location for any collision matters. Based on my overall experience from start to finish, I would not recommend bringing your vehicle here. The lack of communication regarding the repairs and completion time is completely unacceptable. Trying to keep this review as brief as possible. We went to three shops for repair estimates before deciding to use Rockwall Ford Collision Center. They were not the cheapest nor in the middle, they were the most expensive. We decided to trust Ford with our Ford for the obvious reasons. First off, we were told that we needed to schedule our appointment 2 weeks out. I thought this was so they could order the parts ahead of time and be ready start working on our car the first day. I was wrong, they were too busy to fit us in any sooner. We finally dropped our car off on Tuesday (8/14) as scheduled. Ford said that it may be done by Friday, but NLT Tuesday 8/22. We called on Friday, they said the parts just came in and it would not be ready until the following Tuesday (8/22). I told them that I had thought the parts were ordered ahead of time...response? no, we don't do that, we don't order parts until the car is in the shop. So the car sat there for almost an entire week (4 days) without any technician laying a finger on it. We called Tuesday, 8/22 and was told that they were having trouble with getting the insurance to authorize some of the work. I called the insurance adjuster and she said they had not heard from anyone at Ford. According to Ford, the insurance adjuster missed damage on the rear door and they needed additional authorization to repair that. In truth, glad they found that and fixed it...but it seemed Ford was using the Insurance company as a scapegoat for all of the delays. The car remained in the shop for another week and a half, and we could not pick it up until Friday, 9/1. So we went from 7 days promised delivery to Eighteen (18) days in the shop. My beef? Of all the estimates that we had, this shop was the highest, and being a Ford Collision Center, we expected more communications. We also expected fairly quick turn-around and to be kept updated on the repair status. Sadly, I was the one that needed to call and ask about the status. When they found out that they could not deliver the car in the time promised, we should have received a courtesy call with an explanation. As a matter of fact, the only time Rockwall Ford Collision reached out to me was on the day the car was ready to be picked up...all other contact was initiated by me or my wife. On a positive note, the person that was assigned as the customer service contact for our car was always pleasant and polite. Going forward, if the need arises again (and hopefully it does not) I will probably look at using a small family run repair shop.....one that cares about customer service because their business depends on it....not sure if Rockwall Ford Collision appreciates this due to their size and volume of work that passes through their doors. read more

Too busy for adequate repair and customer service. Bondo on my truck repair is cracking and they told me to bring it back in six weeks. Took my bed cover off and 3 days of rain ruined what I had in the bed. read more

So my experience with this shop has really been an eye opener and I partly blame myself. My truck rolled down a hill and bent the driver door backwards and and had some other damage on the truck well I was so upset I told the wrecker to take it to the nearest body shop which was Rockwall Ford collision center. My insurance guy was out there the next day and gave the first quote. Then gave a completion day of about 8 days. Collision Center needed em to come in and sign for the damage to get it started. I did that same day and They said there will be more damage and that they will need to get with the insurance and they did. Then a week later I had to call to get an update on the truck and they said that the batteries are dead and they the insurance will not cover and they are going to be 180 each (I have a dodge cummins has two batteries). I said no I work for a truck part company and can get the batteries at cost. Little did I know that they would pull the batteries in it and not do anything on the truck until I brought them the batteries. Well I got the two batteries for 160 for both. I ended up getting the wrong ones the positive and negative were swapped. I dropped them off on a Friday around 6pm. Well Monday they waited until 4 ish pm to tell me that they were the wrong ones. So I had no chance of making it from Irving to Rockwall to get them wrong ones back and swap them out for the right ones. Well they said it was ready for the paint shop and the batteries were the only thing holding it up. I got them the batteries on Tuesday before noon. I had to call twice to find out if they got the batteries and get an estimate of when it would be ready. I figured Thursday, you know Tuesday and Wednesday for paint and Thursday to put it all back together. He said possibly but more like Friday. I never got a call on Thursday, I called and I was told that there was a delay because the tech got hung up on a different car and was not able to put my truck together. I said OK Friday then he said he wasn't sure. I got a call Friday saying it would not be ready, I told them that if the truck is not ready that I was not going to be paying the deductible, because they have had my truck for 39 days now. Then it was not even ready by Monday because service had not finished the aliment which they told me only take 45 minutes which yes it was aligned however they did not get the steering wheel centered so the wheel is turned slightly to go straight but if you let go of the wheel it will stay straight. It was finally ready Tuesday. 43 days later. In summary The truck sat for a week before anyone touched it. Then another week after I got them the correct batteries. I was contacted once maybe twice during all this to keep me updated on anything. I had to reach out to them for updates. The best part is I got the truck back and the fuel door was missing the rubber stopper and rubbed the metal and messed up the paint in the door area, then my back up camera stopped working. When they fixed the backup camera they broke a clip on the tailgate cover and then said it was like before and I would have to pay for it. Which was a lie. I looked on amazon and bought one for $25. When I took the old one off they had broke them and tried to black epoxy resin it on which did not work so that makes me wonder what else is just basically glued on that they broke and did not want to pay to fix correctly. Then I noticed the headliner on the driver side back door was not done correctly. I know this is very picky but the window motor in the door is slow both front windows used to roll up and down at the same speed but now the driver side is very slow. Also not one time did they tell me the fuse box cover was missing or get me a replacement. The only reason I noticed the fuse box is because the fuel filter lid started leaking so I took it back again for the 3rd time. They said they did not touch it which should not mater because in the wreck it could have become loose or something, it also was not leaking before they got it. They wanted to charge me for the new filter to fix it. I had enough at this point and took it to Rockwall Dodge and they handled it all for me without blinking. It was one of the worse experiences I have ever had from a collision center.
