There aren't many of these Rocky Mountain Chocolate stores around. We like to stop by here every we're at the Spectrum to get some chocolate. Our favorite are the truffles. A half pound is plenty for snacks for two people while you're shopping. Their truffles are smooth and rich. Service is always good.

The variety in the store is amazing and everything we had was great. I had to get their Thanksgiving-themed turkey caramel chocolate apple, which was both cute and delicious. The turkey tail was a bonus big piece of chocolate. We also got the Oreo caramel apple, a classic. We even got gelato (an authentic Italian recipe made in Fountain Valley), which is sold by weight, and were impressed by it. And I finally got to try the viral Dubai chocolate that has been sold out elsewhere. It's pricey but it's a big piece, so it can be shared or stored for another day. We opted for the dark chocolate bar and they definitely do not skimp on the layer of chocolate on the outside. It definitely lived up to the hype in taste and appearance. The crunch you get when you bite into it is mind-blowing. The mix of textures and the pistachio flavor will leave a lasting impression. The cashier offered to cut our apples for us, which was the extra customer service that brought it up to 5 stars. I've never had my caramel apples cut before, but this made much easier to eat! They also gift a free chocolate-covered strawberry for spending above a certain amount, which is nice. We're so glad they were open on Thanksgiving morning so we could enjoy these delicious desserts!

Every Rocky Mountain stop I love to look at the candy apples. This time we opted for chocolate covered strawberries and almond milk chocolate clusters. Soooo good! They have so many options on their menu. Stop by for a small treat!

Desserts here are really cute. The visuals are part of the price, in my opinion. I'd recommend the marshmallows.

Just stopped by for one piece of dipped chocolate and the guy who helped out just picked it without the glove on $3.95 shopping just made me eh

Why do all the chicks look like they've been stabbed in the head? :(

Home of the viral Dubai chocolate, this store in the Irvine Spectrum makes arguably the best version of it. They can do completely customizable options to make beautiful corporate gift baskets, and you can get each item on its own to gift to family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc. And this is where you can also find the cutest holiday treats, like a snowman candy apple, fun pretzel sticks, and they even came out with a Dubai candy apple and Dubai chocolate bombs, which might be even better than the OG Dubai bar in my humble opinion! You know the parking sitch is craaazy at the Spectrum, so the staff can actually get you your goods at curbside pickup this holiday season. Thanks for reading! ^-^

We came in for some chocolates at this little shop. Store itself is very organized but a bit narrow. We had to try not to bump into other people at times. Hubby is a big fan of chocolates or chocolate flavored desserts. I like chocolates but I don't eat them often. Mainly because it makes me breakout now and then. The selections are huge here, chocolate covered apples, marshmallows, all sorts of chocolates even a bunch of sugar free ones. We picked a Pokémon marshmallow and assorted chocolates. The cashier boy was very friendly and fast. This is a great place to pick up chocolate desserts!

For starters, this place brings a ton of nostalgia for me! My mom would take me here after school for a chocolate covered ice cream bar which all i can remember were amazing and i'm sure still are. The girl that helped me was super sweet and the store is the exact same as it was years ago which i love because it's warm and woody tones are inviting. I'm typically a see's candy girl but decided to give their chocolate a shot. I got some almond clusters with caramel and a chocolate truffle. The chocolate flavor isn't terrible but as a whole it was just not great. I ALWAYS finish any kind of sweets i get and I genuinely couldn't finish this. It was also 20 dollars for 4 pieces of chocolate. I always grab 6 or 7 pieces of chocolate from see's and it's like 9 dollars. It just seems a bit steep for 4 pieces of teeth breaking chocolate. That said, the chocolate covered ice cream is a must try.

Great employees who were so accommodating this Friday evening at 6pm. I came to try their famous Dubai Chocolate and this was my 4th place of trying out a different version. By far, Rocky Mountain has the very best Dubai Dark Chocolate single mold (small size) at $7.95 I believe? They also have a bar version which is about $17.00? I could be wrong because it was a few days ago, therefore look on their menu. It was so amazingly tasty and had the perfect amount of Knafe inside where you tasted their actual Pistachio Butter (it is not peanut butter) with Knafe; they made it right! That's why this place was on Tik Tok. My daughter and I fell in love and after, we won't try any other place for Dubai Chocolates. We love the dark chocolate but they also have milk chocolate too. Each Rocky Mountain location has a different price because they each have different sized molds. There you go! You gotta try it! It was so yumm!

Half cut apple. Hard to share.

Yummy apples but the employee not cutting the apple all the way through totally ruined the experience. We couldn't enjoy our treats there and had to bring it home to cut it through. First world problems but still extremely annoying for the lack of attention when I'm paying $12 for an apple.

My favorite fudge - old fashioned.

I've patronized this place several times over the years and have been very happy with the chocolates they sell (Royce brand, from Japan). And the gaufres are a favorite. Aside from the Yelp "giveaway" on my latest visit, I also purchased some other boxes of chocolates and cookies as gifts for upcoming birthdays in my extended family. The women working here were amiable - full of smiles - and very helpful in assisting me in choosing the perfect boxes of treats. The quality of the chocolates is exceptionally high. If the box has the name Royce on it, you're going to be happy with what's inside. As with most Japanese products, the packaging is done with care and presentation is visually appealing. You'll find J Sweets at the rear entrance of Mitsuwa in Irvine.

Probably because everything is so pretty. It's like when we all grew up with the wonderfully scented and pretty bar soaps that you just never wanted to use. J. Sweets is like that for me. Look but no touching. Weird I know. Not anymore though! Now that I know just how tasty J. Sweets candies are, all I have to say is "GET IN MY BELLY!" J. Sweets is located inside of the Mitsuwa marketplace right at the back entrance into the food court. We arrived around 6:30 pm right before the dinner rush. Luckily there was still plenty of parking available. I was quickly but kindly approached by a lady at the counter. I wish I got her name. She was super sweet, patient and very knowledgeable of everything that they offered. She wasn't a pushy salesman at all. In fact, she made me feel very welcome. She showed me around their small space packed with all kinds of desserts. Although space was tight and limited, everything was neatly stacked so as to not look like a mess. I told her I wasn't sure what I wanted to buy but that I don't like very sweet anything. She had me try a piece of milk chocolate with caramel. The chocolate sample was amazing, smooth, decadent, sinfully rich without the use of excessive sugar. You can tell they use high quality ingredients. What we bought; 1) I purchased a dark chocolate bar without liqueur - after that tester she gave me, I couldn't resist and I don't regret spending the money on it either. Wow. This is one of those things you hide from the household in hopes that nobody finds it. LOL. Jk. Or am I? 2) mochi cream in strawberry shortcake and double mango. I loved them both. Again, you can really tell the quality in the ingredients used to make their products. Next time I go back, i will definitely buy some Hattendo cream buns, some of their other chocolates that have liqueur, and the mixed packs. J. Sweets was such a special trip for us and the customer service was wonderful. We cannot wait until we go back and stock up on treats again.

Asian chocolates, on the other hand, tend to be lighter, less sweet, more delicate and subtle on the palate. Frenchian chocolates felt like they sat comfortably between both worlds. They were pleasant to eat, not as heavy or intensely rich as traditional Belgian chocolates, yet not bland or lacking in flavor either. The sweetness was well balanced, and the flavors were enjoyable without being overpowering. I probably would not go out of my way to purchase them again, but for those who prefer chocolates that are not too sweet or too bold in flavor, these would suit their palate well. Overall, I had a good time tasting them. Happy Valentine's Day!

The chocolates are beautiful and really are eye catching, with different colors and shapes and great flavor profiles. For example, the earl grey chocolate has the essence of tea but is not overpowering with floral notes and certainly a great treat. I was able to sample several pieces with my kid although we primarily visited this shop to pick up the viral dubai chocolare (at least during the time when dubai chocolate flavor was getting hyped up). The service from the associates have always been great, as I've visited randomly since this location is close to Jamboree Rd and in the same plaza as a self car wash spot. It may be a bit pricey but it certainly is a unique chocolate boutique shop with lots to offer. It may sound very corporate, but I feel like this is the type of chocolate you would want to order to gift a bunch of office team members or to distribute as client gifts during the holidays. All in all, great shop with great chocolate!
