You can definitely tell it is Rocky Mountain because every franchise store has a huge teddy bear out in the front. Pros: (1) Large variety of truffles and chocolate clusters- they weigh as you go so depending on the number of pieces the prices can go up. (2) Large caramel apples (plain and upgraded version) - sometimes you can see them prepare caramel apples in front of customers and it is always fun for me and the kids to watch (3) Lots of fudge - sometimes you can see them prepare fudge in front of customers as well and the entire store smells sweet and buttery. (4) Cute packaging for gift sets (5) sugar and sugar free selections as well Cons: (1) inconsistent staff and customer service (2) high prices for small portions Overall, I feel like once I step into this store, just inhaling the sweet and buttery aroma, I am inhaling extra calories. Hahaha! But my taste buds do enjoy these sweet treats. Given that they are a chocolate store, I feel that they don't compare to artisan chocolate shops that are nearby. Came here on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet, including the service. My kids and I walked around for a good 5min and had to flag someone down to help us out. The variety in the store is amazing and everything we had was great. I had to get their Thanksgiving-themed turkey caramel chocolate apple, which was both cute and delicious. The turkey tail was a bonus big piece of chocolate. We also got the Oreo caramel apple, a classic. We even got gelato (an authentic Italian recipe made in Fountain Valley), which is sold by weight, and were impressed by it. And I finally got to try the viral Dubai chocolate that has been sold out elsewhere. It's pricey but it's a big piece, so it can be shared or stored for another day. We opted for the dark chocolate bar and they definitely do not skimp on the layer of chocolate on the outside. It definitely lived up to the hype in taste and appearance. The crunch you get when you bite into it is mind-blowing. The mix of textures and the pistachio flavor will leave a lasting impression. The cashier offered to cut our apples for us, which was the extra customer service that brought it up to 5 stars. I've never had my caramel apples cut before, but this made much easier to eat! They also gift a free chocolate-covered strawberry for spending above a certain amount, which is nice. The chocolate flavor isn't terrible but as a whole it was just not great. I ALWAYS finish any kind of sweets i get and I genuinely couldn't finish this. This place constantly mixes up orders, and when we pointed out that they had put several wrong items in the bag, the owner refused to issue a refund. She said, "We don't refund on chocolate, and you should check what they pack for you." However, the lady who served us didn't even know the names of the items in the store and put the wrong products in the bag. I came back within two minutes, but instead of fixing the issue, the owner argued with me and refused to give a refund. Only after a long argument did finally issue a small refund. The store is also very expensive. They advertise certain items as "buy one, get one free," but then they put everything together on the scale and never actually honor the offer -- it ends up being more like "buy one and get one, but still pay for both." I love caramel apples specially from Rocky Mountain. I always get one when I see this store. Recently I purchased some from the Lake Arrowhead Village and the Citadel Outlets locations. The one I got on Sunday from this Irvine location was disappointing. The cashier cut the apples per my request and placed it in a bag.
