I went into See's while I was shopping for a special customer/friend. I needed to stop at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods for her and I remembered that one of her favorite treats is the Divinity Puff from See's. Her birthday just passed and I wanted to give her a little something to know how much I appreciate her. See's cleanliness is pretty consistently pristine. Victor was working. He was out of Divinty Puffs but offered an alternative until I told him about my customer and that she's told me in the past that the Divinity Puffs are her favorite. So he immediately called the Laguna Niguel location and told them exactly what I would like, told me how much it would cost, and asked them to gift wrap it. Everything about this store was a plus! My daughter had a tough day so we decided to go to see's so she could customize a box of candy. This sometimes takes a bit of time because she has trouble deciding on the pieces. Riley made the entire experience amazing. The level of service and patience we received was top notch. Even though we got there 15 minutes before closing, we never felt rushed. We will absolutely be back to this location! read more

As with everything else inflation has hit here too. $24.95 for a box of their tasty WALNUT DARK CHOCOLATE CARAMEL chewy bars. $17.25 for an 8-ounce box of DARK CHOCOLATE MAPLE BROWN SUGAR candies. Such is life...thankfully I indulge in this kind of sweet rarely. The gent (Riley) behind the counter was efficient and polite in spite of the indecisive semi-snail female customer holding up the line. She was deciding as she went while picking multiple boxes. I mentioned this at checkout and Victor packaged it beautifully with an Easter themed box and Happy birthday sticker... lovely touch for such a yummy box of chocolates! Not to mention, when I said I didn't want the sample of the dark chocolate coconut something, he asked if he could bring me a favorite to which I replied the milk chocolate bordeaux that he happily offered... I spend a fair amount of money enjoying Sees Candy. There are 3 or 4 stores that I purchase from. I have found that all locations have been out of dark chocolate California brittle. When I asked today (Tuesday 2/18) I was told "when we're out, we are out. It's out of my control." I was in no way implying she controlled the inventory. I then asked for the dark chocolate cashews and was told they were in the carousel in the middle. I told her I didn't see them and she said "I guess we're out." I then asked for salted dark chocolate caramel. "We are sold out." Maybe Valentine's Day cleaned them out? How about a smile and a sorry? I bought a pound of other favorites and asked for a mint scotch mallow (delicious.). When I got to my car I realized she didn't charge me for that. Perhaps to make up for not offering a sample, which I know is not mandatory, but is customary. I want to say I've never had less than fantastic customer service here or any of the other Sees establishments I frequent. I guess everyone has a bad day. read more

The team at this Laguna Hills store is truly outstanding! I visited the other day and was helped by Cameron. There was a long line of customers and only Cameron behind the showcase. He greeted each customer with a warm smile and made it a point to really connect with everyone. For example, there was a family with several young children picking out a 1 pound box. The children were a bit shy and indecisive when their parent asked which chocolates they wanted. Cameron was patient and kind the whole time, offering helpful suggestions the kids were excited about. The family left happy and Cameron continued providing this level of care and attentiveness to each customer that followed. Great job! I also wanted to commend the rest of the See's team at this location. Victor is an absolute gem who is kind and genuine with everyone he meets. I used to live in Brea and would see Victor at the Brea Mall See's location. After I moved to Laguna Hills I stopped into the nearest See's and was pleasantly surprised to see Victor's friendly face! He transferred to this location and I couldn't be happier. The ladies at this location are also wonderful. I always enjoy chatting with them and sharing stories about our latest sewing projects. I visit this See's Candies location from time to time and always enjoy trying new candies recommended by Victor. Today I got really great service from Genevieve. Although a couple of my favorite chocolates were out of stock she was very helpful in letting me know what other chocolates would be similar with marshmallow in them. At one time, See's candies were very good, but now they are overly sweet due to artificial sweeteners and artificial vanilla (vanillin) and leave an unpleasant after taste. People who like overly sweet candies will most likely be happy with the chocolates, but if you have tasted a piece of chocolate made with an adequate amount of cocoa, sugar and real vanilla, the difference is obvious. read more

Stopped in yesterday to get myself some candy, and was pretty disappointed. Very small bag with 12 or so pieces was $20. That's normal. However; this is the first time I've ever had stale candy. The toffee-ettes and almond buds were totally stale tasting. Never had that happen before. Must have either been too old to be sold or not stored properly. Either way; not going back. Sad. read more

Our experience here was amazing. We drove from the Midwest to California and missed Sees Candy. Our kids loved their experience at this See's we visited a few others but the service here was by far the best. Cameron was a huge help to us. Update: After writing the review below a See's representative immediately reached out which is great, shows they do greatly value their customers and reputation. My concerns were passed on to the District Manager (who reached out to me promptly) and the manager (who also reached out to me). Based on this I decided to give the Laguna Hills store another try and had a much better experience. Genevie (associate that helped me) was patient, friendly and nice. She was very knowledgeable about the different types of chocolates; overall great customer service from her. Original Review: Drew the short straw with customer service. When getting my custom chocolate box Americ C. (per name tag) had attitude, was rude and flat lied to my partner and I. Additionally she wouldn't let me sample a single chocolate and gave my partner attitude when saying she wanted to try one piece (all the other customers were getting multiple samples). Furthermore when selecting a 1/2 lb. box she said we were required to fill the whole box regardless of weight multiple times (she was trying to stack chocolates on other chocolates and smash in as many as she could). Called See's headquarters and they said this is not the case and the employee must have been confused. Good candy but I'll never go back after this experience! Sees has been in our family for over 55years.. my dad always celebrated Xmas in New England by bringing home a large box of Sees and presenting them to my mom on Christmas Eve I stepped in this particular shop today because I was missing my ex boyfriend who I always bought Bordeaux Dark chocolates for... Somehow I knew it would make me feel a little less sad.. I was greeted happily by VICTOR I shared my feelings with VICTOR and told him I couldn't remember the name of the candy Bruce loved so much.. " let me help", replies VICTOR--he not only knew the various flavors and fillings he queried me on the names which he passionately spewed off.. " WOW" .. " YOU'RE SO WELL VERSED IN THESE PRECIOUS CANDIES". Then I asked.." Do you like working for Sees?" VICTOR responded immediately with , " I LOVE THE PEOPLE I WORK FOR".. which in my humble opinion says it all.. it's all about the people!
