Once in a blue moon, when I get a sweet tooth (for a sugar cookie especially), I like to stop by Crumbl Cookie and treat myself. My consistent fav is definitely their classic pink sugar cookie (btw..a single cookie goes for $4.49 ~ which is average now-a-days, at least their cookie is a huge size). I just love the almond sugar cookie topped with that silky pink almond frosting. It's heavenly. Heads up, their cookies are quite sweet sometimes, hence why I always cut up my cookie into fourths and eat only a quarter at a time & over a day or two. I've also tried their cookie thins ~ in pink sugar & chocolate chip. It comes with 2 for the price of 1 regular-sized cookie, so not bad/fair. It's thin, crispy and chewy all rolled up in one..PERFECT for those who wanna feel less guilty. Lol Because their desserts are made fresh daily, their cookies are always fresh and soft. While I do like their concept of a weekly rotation menu (so there's always something new to try), sometimes the flavors are just too out there for my taste. I will try anything lemon-flavored, though. Yums! Their Lake Forest location happens to be near my nail salon ~ located in The Orchard plaza, near Yogurtland & Corner Bakery Cafe. Thus, I like to swing by, if I happen to be in the area & needing to satisfy my cravings. The staff at this location is always friendly, and the store is super clean and welcoming. As you walk in, you place your order via an ipad/kiosk, so it's quick & efficient and your order is ready in no-time. I sometimes just order via the Crumbl app as well, for a fast, drive-by pick-up. FYI..all their stores close every Sunday, in case you get a case of the sweet munchies on the weekend. All in all, if you're looking for a delicious dessert, Crumbl is worth checking out! read more

I came by for their thin cookie promotion around 1:30 and they had a sign that they were sold out until 2pm. I grabbed a late lunch in the plaza and went back after 2pm to try their s'mores thin cookie. It was warm and chewy and full of delicious taste of graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallow in the form of a buttery cookie! This is definitely a better size to enjoy than their normal giant cookies which requires several people to eat if you don't want to OD on sugar. Cookies are $5 a piece, and there were no cashiers at the front desk, but they leave tablets out for you to place your order. Wanted my family to try out the pies being offered about a month ago for Thanksgiving and have to say they were lackluster at best, primarily due the presentation (sub par). I don't expect a lot as generally the cookies arnt as amazing as the pictures provide, understandably so however, the pie containers were handled/filled in a messy or lackadaisical manner, there was barely any filling, and the crust wasn't laid properly in the container either. Just Ok. My child had heard about this company from a friend and wanted to try. We came in and despite there literally being not anyone else but us, no one said hello, asked if we needed help, nada. Given they were likely teens, but they seemed more interested in their chit chat about some other girl than engaging us. Then after we completely order ourselves in their iPads, their system actually asks if we want to tip. Usually I leave a tip when I get these prompts but the service level we received made me comfortable not leaving any. The people there are super nice, this review is in no way a reflection on the customer service. Having said that, I just spent $30 for a dozen mini-cookies that are basically raw in the middle. I'm not talking soft or chewy, I mean full on its raw dough. Even my sugar crazed kid thought they were gross. The standard chocolate chip was the worst offender. The lemon wasn't as bad and luckily the topping is pretty good on that one to cover for the taste. Which was straight flour, because that is what you get when you do not bake a baked good long enough. Flour and goo... I hope these are safe to eat, no one felt ill so far. I don't understand the hype over this place, it was honestly terrible. This was our first time visiting and will definitely be our last. The two with frosting looking hastily thrown together with no love, and looking nothing like the advertised picture. All cookies tasted somehow bland. I thought anything made with butter and sugar would taste good, but they somehow ruined cookies. ALL of the cookies were undercooked. I came here a while back to see what all the hype was about and try the supposedly delicious Crumbl cookie. The parking in this plaza can get a little hectic but it shouldn't be too bad. The inside of the store was bright and clean though a little lifeless. I got my cookie quickly and the workers did fine. I ended up getting the tres leches cookie and it was alright. The flavor itself was good enough but nothing out of this world. It was a little softer than I expected to be which was disappointing considering I like a little bit of crunch in my cookies. The portion was decent for its size and was pretty filling. Although I think the cons outweigh the pros. The cookies are SO sweet, extremely cakey and has a greasy feel to them. They conveniently take online orders for curbside or in-store pick-up so if you go at peak hours, there's no need to wait in line. After lunch at a neighboring eatery in this plaza, it was time for dessert. Crumbl Cookies was in view and the obvious choice. Once inside the sleek interior, I ordered on one of the kiosk screens next to the entrance. They change cookie flavors each week and I looked at the six choices and only two sounded appealing: chocolate chip and white chocolate chip. Being indecisive I decided on both. They are constantly baking and my order was ready in less than two minutes. As others mention, there's not much interaction with staff other than being handed a box containing your cookies. No indoor seating so I ate the chocolate chip as I walked to my car...and continued as I sat in my car. These cookies are huge, thick, warm, and soft. Truly a fantastic cookie with an abundance of chips. Same could be said of the white chocolate which I had later. I have heard so much hype about Crumbl that I was excited to finally go. I decided to go to the Lake Forest location instead of Aliso Viejo just because it was closer to me and also it had slightly better Yelp Reviews (3 1/2 stars here in Lake Forest instead of 3 stars in Aliso Viejo). arking was easy and free and I was able to park right in front of the store. I took my daughter and we each picked out a cookie to share. When we went around 4pm on a Saturday there was only one person in line ahead of us. The weekly cookies this week (the cookies change weekly) are: Neapolitan (served warm), Walnut Chocolate Chip (served warm) Cinnamon Swirl (served warm) Frozen Hot Chocolate (served chilled) Milk Chocolate Chip (served warm) and Classic Sugar (served chilled). We chose the Classic Sugar and Frozen Hot Chocolate cookies. While we were waiting for them to package up our cookies we saw the workers making more cookies while we waited. First the good: Wow the Frozen Hot Chocolate cookie was delicious! It was a rich chocolate cookie with some chocolate chunks in it (so yummy) topped with a hot chocolate flavored frosting and mini marshmallows - it was so rich and tasted just like hot chocolate - just cold. However - the Classic Sugar cookie tasted weird. I'm not sure if they put some sort of flavoring in the frosting - it was pink so perhaps a bitter strawberry flavor??? - but the frosting didn't taste good it had a weird bitter taste and the sugar cookie itself wasn't rich and buttery like they normally are this one was a bit dry and flavorless. My daughter actually told me the cookie was yucky and she didn't want to eat it which is a lot coming from a kid who normally wants to eat all the sweets they can! We actually decided to go to Dough and Arrow (in Costa Mesa) to get more cookies - like a cookie double header! - since we were still left wanting more after going to Crumbl. Finally tried Crumbl cookies and so glad I did. We ordered one of each of their choices (1 not pictured since we were too hungry)... The verdict is in that their cookies with icing are the best. And their signature sugar cookie with pink icing and almond flavor is just decadent and delicious and by far my favorite! It tastes like wedding cake and I seriously would buy again and already am salivating at the thought of eating it! While I don't frequent Crumbl Cookies, I do stop by whenever I see a flavor of the week that interests me. I have written a review for their Rancho Santa Margarita location, but this one deserves its own review. As with all their locations, it is mostly a self-ordering computer system that is easy to use, but can be confusing if you are technologically challenged. You can place an order with a staff member, but they are usually busy preparing the cookies so it can be difficult to flag down someone to take your order. The cookies come out either warm or chilled depending on which ones you order. I typically enjoy their warm varieties because I just don't like cold cookies even if it was intended to be enjoyed chilled. Since they always have new flavors each week, it's hard to try a cookie flavor if you missed it that week. They always have chocolate chip and the sugar cookie flavor each week, but I only come for those rotating flavors. Their cookies tend to be on the sweeter side, which I don't mind. The price is reasonable if you order four or more cookies as it comes out to be less than $4 for a big cookie. Check their website to see what flavors they currently have as it changes every Sunday.
