However, I ordered the 2 lb shrimp special for $30 but it seems like this bag in the picture was only 1 lb. (Mind you, this bag came with potato and corn) I've never even finished 2 lbs of shrimp by myself before, so I asked her before the food came, if I could take home any leftovers since it was a dine in special. So clearly, I doubt i received the actual 2 lbs. I asked if she could ask the chef if i really received 2 lbs and he said I did. Anyways, I don't like to write negative reviews about small businesses but I think could've been avoided. Sorry to have to write this but it is kind've unfair cuz I also tipped. This is the spot for loaded oysters! They have a Nola Grilled Oysters Combo where you get a platter of 16 sizzling oysters brought to your table on a hot skillet (4 flavors each). The flavors include buttery lobster, cajun crab, green onions, and elote. The oysters are plump and juicy, and I really enjoyed all of the toppings! I would come back for these! They also have a variety of other seafood dishes. They have different seafood boil options. I got the Stone Crab Combo with stone crab, garlic noodles, corn, sausage, and potato. They give a good amount of crab, but I think the garlic noodles could have been a little more flavorful. I like that the combo already comes with the side items, so you don't have to order them separately like at other seafood boil places. Lobster Rolls are not bad. This has been on my bucket list once I found out they had AYCE seafood boil, and that was a year ago. I came for dinner on Wednesday and it was slow. I love the vibe of the place. They had decorated for Lunar New Year. We feasted on the AYCE seafood boil Tier 1 which was $39.99 (includes choice of shrimp, crawfish, black mussels and unlimited sides). The first round we did all three with mild heat (plus sausage and corn in the cob) and for the sides we ordered garlic bread, corn, edamame, Cajun fries and vanilla ice cream (which is also unlimited!). Came here today for happy hour oysters which are $2 each. Unfortunately prices just increased from $1.50, but nonetheless we still wanted to try it out. The oysters were medium sized and very clean! The oysters were very tiny and in no way fresh. Seems like they reuse the shells and put canned or jarred oysters on it instead. For one, the oyster was off the shell when we got it.. Next we ordered razor clams. Taste was decent be size was small for the cost of $20.99. We later found that two razor clams were stacked to each other to deceive the look of one longer/bigger looking razor clam instead. Proceeded to ask the manager who replied it's just whatever shipment size arrives. There were a total of 5 stacked razor clams. It's definitely pricier than most other restaurants for the quality and quality of it. Finally, we also ordered the seafood bucket which was supposed to include 1/2 a snow crab (it was definitely frozen), 1 lobster tail (tiny and frozen), 1lb shrimp (digestive tract still intact, giving a sandy gritty texture), 2 corns, 2 fist sized potatoes (kid you not by fist sized), 2 pieces of sausage (like really... 2 slices of sausage), 2 sodas, and ice cream (which were never given to us) It's understandable that businesses may not be doing so well in the time and economy, but deceiving paying customers are only gonna make the situation worse. I did pay $11 for a coconut ice cream coffee and it was worth it to try. I dont know how they make their coffee but I swear it had a slight taste of whisky or Henny but I ain't complaining. I dont usually eat escargot but I was able to eat a few here. Their ship wreck platter was expensive at $80 and their Thai hot pot was $52. I didn't bother to look at prices until after. A lot of the dishes you order here you can get for half the price somewhere else, but I guess it's for the dining experience. With tip, the lavish meal came out to $260 which is high for dining in this area. The prices alone wouldn't keep me away but im not sure if ill come back a lot. Maybe once in awhile. We saw advertisements of this restaurant on Facebook and Instagram, and they made it look so appealing. We ordered the fried quails and seafood salad from the menu. Off the menu, we ordered the baked seafood combo and the garlic crab combo. Here comes the verdict... The fried quails were very crispy, a bit salty, but the spicy dipping sauce was really good. The seafood salad was not what we expected. It was beautifully presented in a pineapple "bowl." Sadly, the bowl was very shallow and barely had anything in it. The salad was basically a bunch of red onions, carrots, pieces of sliced pineapple, microscopic sized squids, red clams, and 4 shrimp. This was definitely not worth $26.99!!!!! The naked seafood combo and the garlic crab combo were nicely flavored, but overly greasy. The crab tasted old, overcooked, and really dry. These 2 dishes were what lured us to the restaurant. We felt misled...For $29.99 each, the portions were really small! Definitely false advertisement, because they claimed to be the best seafood with the best deal in OC. Not true!! Overall, the only dish that we enjoyed were the crispy quails. Everything else was a thumbs down! The restaurant itself had a very inviting entrance. Service was just ok. The lady at the front is so nice and attentive. We got our order taken right away and placed each subsequent order quickly as well. You get a large number of sides with the ayce and they came out first. Oysters came out really quickly as well. Towards the end we realized they were closing and some of the shrimp were hard to peel but that was minor. Interior is beautiful with a gorgeous lantern display in the front. Tier 1 didn't have much to choose from so we went with Tier 2 for $79.99 per person. Included with the package is 1 snow crab, 1 stone crab, 1 lobster tail & a couple of baby octopus. Unlimited shrimp, oyster, crawfish, mussels, non seafood sides and cocktails. The sauce was very buttery, garlicky and tasted more like chili oil. It was missing the cajun factor. Did not coat the seafood well. Crawfish is not in season so it was super soft & of course didn't taste fresh. The lobster tail was the most flavorful. Crabs were decent. Raw oysters were good. All other seafood on the list was just alright. As for sides we ordered cajun fries, street corn and spicy edamame. Nothing special to any of these items. I ordered 1 Dragon Fruit Lychee cocktail. Warning: it's a pretty strong drink. I don't have any complaints regarding service. We were too full to have any dessert. The owner made sure to offer us a couple of times some ice cream before we paid for our check which we kindly refused. However, I would say that the service was slow in terms of we had to wait some to get the menu and then we waited some more for someone to come take our order. I saw a bunch of tiktoks promoting this place and how they have a combos for either $30 or $40 and seeing what the combos included, I thought it was a great value so it influenced me to go. The tiktoks were posted a few days ago and it showed the menu of how for $40, you can get 10 wings, 2 pounds of shrimps, 2 sausages, 2 corns, 2 potatoes, 2 sides of your choice, 2 drinks and 2 ice creams. However, when I came, I was disappointed in how the combos changed. Now for the Crazy Wings Combo #2, for $40, you instead get 10 wings, 2 pounds of shrimp, 1 side of your choice, 1 corn, 1 sausage and 1 potato. For the side, I opted for the Cajun fries which were really good and fresh. You can pick your wing flavors which I got the mango habanero and you can taste the spiciness from that which I liked. Now for the seafood, the shrimp tasted great but the medium spice was too spicy for some reason. They forgot to include the corn, sausage and potato so I had to asked about it but they quickly resolved the issue. This combo is great for 2 people as we still had leftovers. This place also offered multiple payment methods which I liked but I paid in cash which they do take! The combo itself plus tax came out to be $43 and some cents which is still a great deal. I had a truly awful experience at this restaurant and will not be returning. When we first walked in several tables were still dirty and hadn't been cleaned from previous customers. That alone was a bad first impression, but things got much worse. When I went to use the ketchup, I noticed it looked off. I squeezed some out and a fruit fly came out with it. Completely disgusting. I immediately brought this to the attention of the woman working there. Instead of apologizing or addressing the obvious hygiene issue, she insinuated that I had put the bug in the ketchup myself. She then proceeded to make a scene in front of other customers, accusing me of trying to "juice" the restaurant for wanting a discount for finding a bug in the ketchup. Being accused of lying over a legitimate cleanliness issue was shocking and humiliating. The lack of sanitation combined with the unprofessional and hostile response from staff makes this place an easy one to avoid. The samurai seafood combo came with all of my favorite seafoods: snow crabs, oysters, shrimps, and sea snails on a sizzling hot skillet. The crabs for this one were actually a little too salty for me, but I still enjoyed it! The menu in general has so many options. My waitress had to help me order, and that was helpful. Super cute Spring decor on top of a nautical theme. Not busy on a Monday night at prime dinner time, but service was a bit slow (had to pay at the counter!). Server didn't seem too knowledgeable about the food being served and barely smiled at us. Food was tasty but the portions were small. Overall, not sure if I'd return. read more

Ok hear me out... Seafood boil but make it ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT. Today I'm back at Destination Seafood House and they just launched their unlimited seafood boil that has all the seafood you can think of--crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, octopus, even LOBSTER, and...what everyone comes for, all the oysters you can eat! The staff told me they shucked more than 3000 oysters last weekend, and these guys are fat, meaty, and SO FRESH. And, what's even better, you know all those sides like street corn and garlic noodles that you have to order a la carte at other places? UNLIMITED here. Would you try this for $64.99? Oh boy the low reviews make so much sense now. My friend and I came in Valentine's Day night with reservations. It was surprisingly easy to make last minute reservations. That should have been our only red flag. We decided to splurge and go all out with the $80 per person AYCE. The experience started off amazing! The servers were very friendly and got us set up with appetizers and cocktails very quickly. After this everything went down hill and only got worse. The galbi was the tastiest and best seasoned dish all night. Slightly chewy but flavor was great. The fries were average at best. 45 minutes after the drinks and appetizers came out and after we finished all of it did the entree come out. Our oysters we ordered this round had never come out. The worst quality crab clusters and lobster tail ever. I'm talking Asian buffet level quality. Frozen low quality slop. I'm surprised we didn't get sick. The sauce is watery and very salty. It had a lot of garlic which carried the sauce. The restaurant was struggling to send out food so we sent in our second round asap. The oysters finally come out after another 30 minutes. Slimy low quality oysters that tasted honestly like the jarred oysters. The garlic noodles were also very basic. Cajun corn was basic. Our mussels came out also very low quality with my friend's bag being mostly closed mussels. The cocktails were okay. No way would I spend regular price for those cocktails. I'm pretty sure they don't have a full liquor license and only have beer and wine. I want to give grace to the servers because they were working hard and trying their very best to keep up with the traffic. I don't blame them or the kitchen staff for the wait or the food quality. They did their best and I appreciate these folks working on a busy holiday night. I do give full blame to the owner for charging these crazy prices for such low quality slop! The greed to charge $80 when nowhere in California will you pay that much for such bad food. I pay that much for AYCE at Mikaya, Anjin, or Cafe Sierra for AYCE and the quality is 100 times better. Even places that charge $50 for AYCE had way better quality. The owner kept seating the house forcing the kitchen and staff to serve more when they could not catch up with the current crowd! All the tables around us were waiting forever, received wrong items, or never got their food! She set the team up for failure. At one point almost 3 hours in and still waiting for our second round of food we called it and cashed out. We did not come anywhere near getting our moneys worth. Even on a slow night the quality of the seafood does not justify the price tag. The restaurant pays these influencers to lie to your face about the quality of the food. Probably comped their meal for a video. Don't trust them. It was a waste of our time and money coming here. read more
