As I sit here. Filled with distain and disappointment. As a patron for 3+ years; I am aggravated. The 'customer service' has gone down immensely. Even a simple (Yiddish) request for no pork, met with a judged as if difficult look and an up charge (that I've never gotten before to sub beef) as a Togo order. I knew the last time I came should've been the last time. When I was met with a very rude, behind the bar, attitude filled tender. I reached out to one of my regular servers and let her know how disappointed I was and how I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable for making a moderation based off of religious values. She met me with her always pleasant virtue and reassured me it was just her; and a common issue. So who's not up for a second chance? Now it is confirmed. I work up the street and have sent several clients here weekly for years. What was once a courtesy suggestion; it will now go a bit differently. Instead of 'try out rodeo goat' It'll be met with 'try every where but-' I am. Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night for dinner and was not disappointed! While very unassuming from the outside, this place has a very cool vibe inside. Front part of the restaurant is all high top tables, but they do have regular tables and booths in the pen area. The margarita was tasty and I would order again! We got the whiskey burger and the ranch house burger with 2 sides of fries. The portion sizes were great and both burgers were juicy with good buns. Eight years, wow, can't believe I'm still alive. But since I am, yea, I should update some. Burgers aren't $9 anymore, prices do go up. Queso isn't $5 anymore, prices do go up. There is no smoking anywhere, anyway, anyhow, for any reason. The Nancy's and snowflakes ruin everything. But the food is still really good. I don't go near as often as I used to, and sometimes when I try to go it's so crowded (don't even bother on the weekends hardly anymore) so I usually try to go in on a weekday night. I used to go a lot on Tuesday night when they were doing "any Texas beer on the draft wall for $3" (spoiler alert, all the beers are Texas beers) but when the Peter Pandemic hit, once they reopened, I noticed it was gone. Was told it had ended before then, but hey whatever, you lost me regardless of the date on that one. That was sad, my visits have really slacked off since then. But no reason to drop a star. Love the place still, just don't get out to it very often anymore. read more

This really isn't a place to go to have a plain burger. This is a place to go to have it one of their ways, with all the interesting sauces, cheeses, and other topping options from all their specialty burgers. Many times my first visit to a burger place will be something with just lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, so that I can taste the quality of the meat. That's not really a thing here, the burgers are juicy, even if you don't necessarily get them medium when ordered that way. Be prepared to just squish everything together between those buns, dig in, and wipe the juices and sauces off your hands later. Fries don't come with the burgers, so we ordered one of the specialty fries with meat, chili powder, and jalapeno slices (canned) on the side. Those were so good - you might want to ask for them to be delivered with your burgers, because they might fill you up if you eat them too soon. I'm also fine with their idea of a side salad, i.e., a bowl full of toppings with a bit of lettuce added in as an afterthought. There's no bad there, though I will say that what passed for bleu cheese dressing was the absolute weakest of its type I've ever seen. I've had milk pour slower. The beer selection is as good as the burger selection, but they also have wine, cocktails, and shots. I had their version of an Old Fashioned, and I especially liked the fact that it cost about half as much as the same drink as I might pay in NYC. It's best to come here with a hearty appetite. If your tank isn't empty, you won't get the full appreciation. read more

I am appalled that I've never reviewed the Rodeo Goat. This is one of my favorite burger joints in the DFW area. Brought my family with but never need an excuse to come here. Anybody that loves a good burger will walk out of here full and happy. This time I had the blue burger and we ordered the chili cheese fries for everyone to share. The party is one of the best I've had. No frozen in this place. So much flavor and obviously handmade. Even the vegetables that go on their burgers are fresh. Then comes those incredible chili cheese fries. It will definitely clog your arteries but well worth it. That chili is out of this world. Wish I had a 6th to give them. read more

The atmosphere in Dallas is better than ft worth. We ate in ft worth. Out waitress was the brite spot. I ordered the cheese meat fries. The bbq sauce was terrible for me. I guess some may like it. It's not Texas or North Carolina bbq sauce. It's their own mixture. The brisket they used was dry and tasteless. I didn't like the cheese either. I ate only a quarter of it and gave it to the kids. They eat anything. The burger was ok but they no longer have Swiss and mushroom burger. When we ate in Dallas the burgers were tasty but here not. Maybe it was just the day we were there after the lunch rush. BTW the parking sucks , very small lot and shared. Luckily there is street parking. read more

After a long hiatus, I returned to RG and was glad to do so. They have probably the biggest list of ciders and fruit beers in town and both the Bishop Apple Pineapple cider and the Locust Strawberry Hibiscus ciders were awesome. The Steaming Pile was a great, greasy start. Probably ~10-15 large and perfectly cooked tater tots baked with a little cheese and bacon covered with a fried egg. The Ranchero dip/sauce provided a nice kick. I ordered their special burger -"Inner Beauty" which came with fried pickles, caramelized onions, bacon, and mushrooms. Good stuff! It was a little spicy for my taste but otherwise was well executed. And BTW, massive. Good service. read more

I've been to a few different Rodeo Goat locations on different occasions, and here are the pros and cons of this one: Pro: Happy hour from 4 p to 7p, even on a Friday Con: The drinks were a little watered down. Pro: The ridiculous number of burger and side options that are all delicious and unique. Con: The burgers and sides are a la carte so you will pay a little more. All in all, Rodeo Goat offers a unique burger experience that you can't get at other places. Try the Telluride burger; it's got hatch chiles and Goat cheese. The perfect combo! The burgers are a pretty good size and they have tons of options. My favorite thing to get is the loaded cheese fries, they're fantastic! My favorite burger options would be the River Crest C.C. or the Bodacious burger. I've always been a big fan of Rodeo Goat, but one of the downfalls of coming here is that sometimes they get extremely busy which can mean slower service. By crazy random happenstance, we recently moved from Houston to Fort Worth. The Rodeo Goat in Houston was a truly unfortunate and terrible dining experience. But it isn't really fair to judge a concept by a location other than the original, so we find ourselves here at the first Rodeo Goat. Right off bat, service is ten times better. Twenty, actually. Relaxed, casual and friendly, but incredibly confident and efficient (thanks Nicole). The Steaming Pile was the only thing we remember with fondness from the Houston location, and yet it was even better here. Fresher bacon, perfectly runny egg, fried potato balls, and cold goat cheese come together in the perfect appetizer. You can skip the sauce on the side for this one (but save it for the hand cut fries). Is it fair to judge a non-Mexican restaurant on its queso? Absolutely not. But this is Texas. And they nailed the queso. If you go back and read my review of the Houston location the fries were abysmal. But not here. Soft, dense but fluffy, and cooked to perfection. The homemade chips were also cooked perfectly (although we aren't a big fan of dill chips). The Chaco Oaxaca was good, kind of. You can tell by the picture that the chorizo and beef weren't blended together and more 50/50 on the patty. The chorizo half of the burger was entirely too salty, but when eaten together the burger was balanced and delicious. I hate mushrooms. I still ordered the Oh Whitney. And I loved it. Garlic roasted criminis and sweet house pickled onions top this phenomenal burger. Overall the vibe here is relaxed, and the food is stand out. I'm glad we gave it a shot, because it's our new staple burger joint. read more

-- When I visit a new burger joint, I almost always go with the basic burger to establish a baseline of sorts (I want to think that I'm a borderline burger connoisseur). So unsurprisingly, I ordered the River Crest -- a relatively simple assembly of beef, cheddar, lettuce tomato, onion, pickle, mayo and mustard. Let's start with the bun. It was glistening with a light coating of butter. It was large and soft on the inside. The sizable beef patty was cooked medium well just as I ordered it. The cheddar cheese melted off the sides like lava out of a volcano. I had to remove some of the toppings to make eating a little less messy, but the beef and cheese alone made for a spectacular burger. Before the burger, we started with an order of queso and loaded fries (which is a good thing because the burgers are a la carte). The fries definitely require a fork -- they become one with the cheddar cheese and bacon bits. Don't eat them without a dunk in the ranch first. The queso was equally as delicious. The beef mixed in provided some additional texture and flavor to the cheese, which would have been great on its own. Overall, Rodeo Goat's burger was one of the best I've had in recent memory. I hope to return someday to try some of the more adventurous menu items. read more

This is an update to my previous review. We ordered takeout tonight from Rodeo Goat. We only had one request for one of the to go orders. That was no pickles on one of the burgers because one of the people we were ordering for cannot eat them. The burger came with a lot of pickles on the side and the pickle juice had drenched the bottom of the burger bun. He couldn't eat the meal. The second issue was we found STAPLES inside of the french fries we ordered. I'm not even sure how in the world a staple could've gotten into french fries, but they were there twice. Of course after driving 20 minutes to the restaurant waiting for 15 for the order to be ready and then driving 20 minutes home we were not going to drive back with the food.
