I heard about the awesome burgers at Rodeo Goat before embarking on my long weekend trip to DFW so I had to put it on the itinerary as a must-visit place to eat. We did street parking one or two streets down and got the first two hours for free, but they do have their own little parking lot that is shared with a couple of other businesses so if it's not a busy hour there might be space there. We ordered the cowboy murrin and the whiskey burger along with a side of sweet potato fries. The burgers don't come with fries, you have to order those separately. Lidiya was just the most pleasant, sweet, and friendly waitress ever. The burger I had was the Hot Bastard and it did have a nice kick to it. I had 2 Fainting Goat cocktails (that according to the menu will only be served twice at max) that tasted like how a Blue Moon would taste like if it were an IPA. The two drinks were the perfect amount of buzz rather than ordering five diluted cocktails for $50 to feel the same way. I would definitely go here again. Tried the vegetarian Pattie and it was the best one I've found in all my travels so far. Had the blue goat. Didn't have much of a bleu cheese flavor but still good. They were evidently understaffed so the service wasn't great. Trying to get a refill or add something to your order didn't come with ease. The food was really good though! We were going to a museum Saturday and picked Rodeo Goat to have our lunch so we'd be close to the places we wanted to go!! It was my husband, my grandson and myself. I'm a new Dallas transplant and I had driven past a Rodeo Goat location in Dallas but hadn't made it to any location until yesterday. I sat near at a table close to the bar so the two bartenders were my waitresses. They were both really friendly and attentive but were extremely busy mixing drinks and helping other customers in their area. Rodeo Goat is a well oiled machine, with staff constantly running all over the restaurant and a large staff of people working the grill and managing tables' plates and to-go orders. With this place being so busy, it should be expected that your meal may take a while to get to you. I waited about 30 minutes for my burger and fries to arrive after I placed my order. When it arrived, it was fresh and hot so I don't believe it got lost in the shuffle, it's just due to the volume of orders and where your order is placed in the sequence. I had the Nanny Goat burger, regular fries, sweet tea (which wasn't sweetened at all), and THE BEST FREAKING CHOCOLATE MILK SHAKE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! My God, that shake! I don't want to know how many calories are in it, well over 1,000 I'm sure. It's basically the best flavor and density of 100% dairy, chocolate ice cream in a cup. It was the star of my meal for sure. The burger was also really good with a nice herb goat cheese and garlic mayo. The fries were *chef's kiss*. The burgers are delicious as always. Really flavorful and juicy. They tend to fall apart a bit. The produce is always super fresh, bright red tomatoes and crisp, plush green lettuce. The kitchen manager was hopping last night and was doing a great job. I have to say we had the BEST server we have ever had there. His name was Kolton and he was exceptional. As a burger connoisseur, this is one of the few places that l've never once had a bad meal. A really juicy burger with a nice thickness to it. There are a ton of options for the fixings so you can get your burger absolutely any way you want! I enjoy the fries even though some people may find them on the softer side. The cheese fries with bacon and jalapeños are enough to feed 3-4 people. The drink selection has a lot of options which meant that with my Celiac I was able to enjoy a nice cider. I appreciate that they offer gluten free buns and are one of the few burger joints around that accommodates for people with Celiac.
