Wife and I have been here dozens of times and unfortunately most of our experiences have been negative over the past couple of years. I'll assume that Covid employment issues are partially to blame but it feels like every 2-3 months or so that there is a completely different staff and we rarely recognize any employees now (when we used to know pretty much everyone). Constant turnover raises many issues but one of the biggest is inconsistencies and less than desired service. Our more recent visit (which honestly is probably going to be my last at this point as I just can't tolerate such frequent inconsistency anymore) was the biggest issue yet. Wife and I went there for my birthday a couple weeks ago and paid the bill of $128 for 2 meals around lunch time on a Sunday. There prices have for sure gone up over recent years (and now charge as much as the much better Brazilian grills in the area) but this isn't even the issue. 2 weeks after this meal, I received my credit card statement, which I normally just pay off each month and rarely really go through the items. I did happen to notice it was higher than expected so I took a quick peek and almost missed this, but thankfully I didn't. So, this restaurant charged me the $128 for our meal, but there was a second charge on my card for $802!!!!! They literally charged by $930 for a lunchtime meal for 2! I called them and at first they couldn't find the second charge. They informed me that my card was used to pay for another families meal!!! I've never in my life heard of such a thing. Although they did refund me the additional $802 that I was illegally charged and never authorized, but how in the world can I trust a place that without authorization somehow saved my credit card information and used it to pay for anther families $802 meal in addition to my meal? You would think they would try and do something to make up for charging me an unathorized $802 on my credit card, but they didn't. They didn't even have any answer to how this happened, which means that they can assure me that this wont happen again, but next time I might not catch the error. This recent experience is just too much and thankfully Bethesda has a really good Brazilian place that we like better anyway and is at least consistent. read more

A few days later Justin Smith (General Manager) contacted me and offered me 2 Free Meals to make-up for the previous visit. So last night 4/30/2023 we went back. The experience was outstanding. Today was not a great experience, we made reservations for 6pm got there on time they seated us in the over flow room since we had 4 kids i can understand. There was one waitress working on 10 tables. I did not get any plates picked up, my drinks were not being serviced in a timely manner. I mean i know it's mothersday, i have been coming to this restaurant the past 3 mothersdays never had service this bad. I could have gotten the same service at Denny's and saved some money in the process i don't go to rodizio's just for he meat which is usually very good, but also i go for the service and i expect the service to be 200+dollar a table service. It was very understaffed and if i ever go back i will make sure they do not sit me in the over flow room it was cold and not very clean, i felt like the place was really not being taken good care of the bathroom trash was severely over flowing. For the price the restaurant should really be doing alot better on upkeep! Also i felt forgotten about in the corner, lots of meat passed me by, never had gotten my bill i finally had to make my way to the front to pay the bill, i was not at all happy with the service i might have to make new plans next mothersday! read more

Yesterday we were with the family in the restaurant, unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. The meat was served practically raw, on several occasions we had to ask them to bring us the well-grilled meat and they told us that they couldn't because that's how they served it in the restaurant, and since last night 3 people out of the 9 who went are sick to their stomachs. The waitress's attention was good but the food did not meet our expectations, it was a fiasco, the cuts were lousy, raw and with no option to eat well-cooked meat. My mom had to fill herself with bread and salad because the meat was raw, and the waiters also come with a ridiculous piece of meat to serve 9 people....a piece that comes out no more than two cuts of meat, to leave waiting at the table to the people for their cut of meat. read more

This place is a like a cheaper Fogo but with less meat varieties and sides. We came around lunch time and it seemed like the same 4 meats were being passed around. The beef options were very rare and hard to eat. This place doesn't give the option of medium or medium well meat. You get whatever is sliced off of the skewer. The salad bar was ok. Since we came on a weekend, there were brunch options at the bar- eggs, French toast, bacon, etc. A lot of the table ate the brunch food more than the traditional salad bar. I will say the dessert and limeades were great. Server was nice but didn't come around much during our time there. Based in other reviews it seems like this place can be hit or miss. Every time that we have gone since January 2022, the service has been very slow and the meat quality also has not been good. One time we went during restaurant week and the meat was either very over cooked or very undercooked--we couldn't get any cuts of meat perfectly medium rare. Their salad bar is good. I hope it has changed since we've last gone, but the service is very slow to get refills on drinks, appetizers, or even the check at the end. Was in town this past Saturday and decided to check this place out. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was Anastasia and she was just a delight, couldn't ask for better. The meats were all cooked to perfection. One of the meat servers, Arder (I'm pretty sure that's the spelling) was awesome. Even the manager came around to make sure everything was good. We came here after discovering this place via Google. The place reminded me of a causal Fogo. When we lived in the City, we ate at Fogo on a monthly basis so this was where we set the bar. The food is ok, nothing mind blowing and the cuts were more limited. Flavor was good but some of the offerings were limited such as the tenderloin and lamb. They also had chicken hearts which was delicious but the other cuts of chicken were off. The fish was ok but the Gaucho didn't know what type of fish it was. The gauchos are pleasant and less formal than other places. The salad bar was nice but less fancy than other places. Services was just ok. It took three attempts to three different people to get salt and pepper. Empty plates stacked up and we had issues with our bill (extra bottle of wine was charged!?). The servers were pleasant and tried to be helpful but I feel they were probably too busy with other tables. Overall it was a good experience and good for those that want a less formal venue for all you can eat meats. If come back but would be in a hurry to do so. read more

This is a welcoming restaurant with delicious food. The hot /cold bar has feel good like ceviche and beef stroganoff, salads and soup, bread and fruit. The gaucho come around with sabers filled with freshly grilled chicken, beef, lamb, pork, fish, sausage and pineapple. I am not a quantity meat Easter so I am completely satisfied with the hot/cold buffet. My husband indulges in the meats enjoying the variety. We have never had dessert because we are so full from dinner. Definitely go for a special occasion or when you are in the mood for an abundance of food. read more

I've been told this is a lower scale Brazillian Steakhouse and honestly it shows. While I want to say the staff was attentive and the customer service was reasonably good, sometimes my feedback seemed to confuse more than it helped. The Limeade was subpar, the cheese bread was some of the worse I have had, the selections of meat was inferior. Worst part is that I actually got sick from the lamb. At the end of the night I brought my complaints to the manager, she was nice and seemed to even agree with everything I said, she offered a free dessert which I couldn't even accept because I felt too sick and a "better experience" next time but honestly I don't really feel like I got my moneys worth to begin with. read more

This is a new place in Annapolis Mall. It was OK. Not bad, but not great. I think it will get better over time but they have a few kinks to work out: -Cooking of Meat: if you're a well done person, sure this place is for you. But if you're not (my husband and I like our meat medium at most) you're out of luck. Not sure why but almost every meat option they walked around with was over cooked and a bit dry. Not as juicy as Fogo de Chao. -portions: i don't eat a lot and maybe it's because I'm a small person. But they gave me a lot of tiny slivers of meat. Not sure if it was because they thought I wouldn't want more or because waiters don't know how to slice yet. -I think a lot of the staff is inexperienced so they don't know yet how to cut the meat well. It was fine to us we understood, but if people are expecting the super fast and accurate meat service from Fogo don't. -this is a more casual steakhouse. Not as fancy as Fogo. -salad bar: almost every thing had cheese and dressing on it, including veggies. Didn't love that. 2 stars. So, we will start with the reservation and check-in process. Had reservations, the table wasn't ready and we waited at the bar. Service was extremely slow, not a person at the bar and waited 10 minutes for drinks. We ended up getting our table 5 minutes after the reserved time which isn't bad. Just didn't see why the wait when soooo many tables were empty, but just dirty. Seems they need to clean that up. Once we were seated, we were greeted after 5 minutes and told about the dining style. We opted for the full meat and buffet option which is kinda the idea. We all went to the buffet for salads and such to return to the table, finish our plates and still wait for waters/drinks. Finally we got drinks after 15 minutes and water followed. Drink service was extremely slow the entire night. Once the meat started to arrive, we were given chicken, chicken, chicken, fish, pork, chicken, ham, pineapple. I finally got annoyed and asked for beef which finally showed up on rotation. Chicken was good, it's thigh meat, steak was poor quality, ham is ham and fish was ok. Pineapple was good. We finally had enough of the entire situation, asked for the checks and that got interesting. Apparently you need a manager for most transactions with splitting checks. The closing out took more than 20 minutes. All in all, food is sub par, service is horrible and extremely slow. Not sure we will return. $40 a person for chicken thigh, sirloin and salad bar, you can get better options around town for less and have far better service. My boyfriend rated a 2 star but I'd say 3 to be nice. At first I was skeptical from the ambiance, it looked kinda western but what really made me rate it a 3 star was the lack of service. My server only came back to serve my drinks and never came back. I wanted to get another drink but my first drink, Passion Iced Tea was straight liquor, no mango or passion fruit juice. Should've got a pina colada. But one of the meat servers made our night. Cracked a couple jokes and he even explained the history behind where meat servers came from. Anyhow, salad bar, i got some shrimp ceviche-really liked it, didnt care for the potato or seafood salad. The cheesy bread was too doughy for me, but it wasn't bad at all. The meats were good for the most part, initially it came out luke warm, but latter ones were hot. The flipping system is one for the table so it made that difficult, since some may want meat and others not. The caprinha was ok, but for $8 (at brunch) you cant beat that. Also brunch price was $28, and Dinner i believe is $40. So cost wise not bad at all. Service was decent enough, gauchos would ask one person and then move along. So in summation if you are going in expecting Fogo De Chao type you may be disappointed, but if you are going in for something a little different or to try it out dont' hesitate at all. read more

It was not a fast lunch at all as I felt you had to wait for meats to come out slowly and not as fast as other competitors with this style of restaurant. I plan to give it a try again but at the price point and service levels I feel that they need to really pull out all service to make sure that it's a fun atmosphere and the meats are flowing. Went to Sunday Brunch. The restaurant is newly renovated and is very nice. The Salad bar is probably the best in Annapolis now. They had a few breakfast buffet options that looked good but we passed since we were there for the Brazilian Steak and meats. The service was good although they were doing training for a gaucho trainee. The Star was the Picanha. Tasted good and was offered regularly. The other cuts were good. The price for the meal per person was very reasonable although the add Ins will add up like drinks and desserts. OMG. NO. One of the worst experiences of my life in a restaurant. From the very start of the evening, September 18, there was mass confusion, chaos, and ineptitude throughout. First "server" disappeared after a pathetic attempt at a greeting with orientation. Took a drink order that never arrived. After 30 minutes I went to the bar and got them myself. The boys with the meat ignored our party of 7 for another 20 minutes. Just Horrific. Staff is poorly trained and apparently overwhelmed. I didn't even see a glass of water 40 minutes into this sporadic disjointed fiasco. It was difficult to get water and Coca-Cola and impossible to get a mixed drink that resembled it's namesake. Just Pathetic. I sent back 3 drinks or I should say I took them back because I didn't want to wait 30 minutes to get the replacements. When the meat arrived in short waves it was underwhelming in quality. In many instances I felt like we were in receipt of table scraps. A fatty chunk of this and that. Just awful. At the bitter end of it all I was handed a $500 bill with a 20% gratuity attached. I was taken a back. There was such a disconnect between the service, food and experience and the price that I called management over and refused to pay the full bill. I wanted no part of a gratuity. The service was awful. The food not much better. Management of course gave me some mumbo jumbo about "staffing" problems but still wanted charge a full fee for everything. No. The bill was adjusted a bit but still far to much. Just stay away. Don't waste your time, money and patience. read more

There's nothing that the Annapolis restaurant management could do to improve the experience. The food, especially the meat, was of such a low quality that the price could not be justified. The chicken wrapped in bacon was unrecognizable as chicken and the bacon was nothing but a long strip of fat. Only one cut of beef had any seasoning/flavor and, again, the cut was so poor that you really needed the seasoning. And the ham?? It was a deli ham stuck on a skewer. Then the ceviche - it had been sitting so long that the fish was hard. Finally, the cheese bread - it was never hot and it had all of the salt that should have gone on the meat. Great location and was looking forward to eating for a date night with my husband. We've been to a real Brazilian steakhouse in BRASIL. Our Server was friendly the gaucho's were amazing. Food was good but not great. I like my meats medium to medium rare and almost all well done or medium well. I thoroughly enjoyed the ham. The salad bar had a lot of things already with dressing which I prefer to do it myself. Timing there were several minutes like 10-15 where we waited for meats. It wasn't a constant stream of meats like we've experienced at other places. Dessert was delicious but you have to pay for it. Located adjacent to Red Robin in the Annapolis Mall, finding a parking space can be a challenge. However, there is a parking garage and open spots right in front of the restaurant. Walking into the restaurant, the ambience is pleasant. Minimalist style decor with South American inspired pieces (presumably Brazilian), unique light fixtures, not too bright. I loved the atmosphere and big dining spaces. I had a cocktail as my party and I had arrived early. The cocktail was a little sweeter than I'd prefer, but I enjoyed it. The salad bar was full of variety. I especially enjoyed the ceviche and the Brazilian vinaigrette. The meats were also great - there is a spicy chicken I loved and a garlic rubbed cut of beef that had wonderful taste and texture. I had cheesecake for dessert. They were running out, and it was definitely a little frozen when I received mine. They were out of raspberry sauce but the guava sauce was on point. Perfectly tart, balanced with a gentle sweetness. The service was cheerful, consistent, and attentive. I was with a group of about 10 people, so it was all the more impressive! Manager looked happy to be there, and the servers were delighted to give suggestions from the menu that they were clearly well versed on. Will definitely come back again! read more
