My wife and I went to the Rodizio Grill to celebrate my birthday and had a mixed experience. We arrived early on a Saturday night at 5:30pm and the restaurant was just starting to ramp up for the evening. The restaurant is very well decorated and has a great ambience. I noticed the bar for the first time and would like to check it out next time I am there. Our server, Isa, was wonderful and attentive throughout the evening. She came to the table almost immediately after we were sat and was friendly and helpful. During the night the manager came by multiple times to check on us as well. In fact the gauchos came by almost too quickly and frequently, but they were also very friendly and attentive. So the service was top notch and warrants 5 stars. The issue was the meat wasn't the same quality we have had in the past. The salad bar was good, especially the pot roast and potatoes on the hot bar. The meats arrived quickly but the quality was mixed. Some were good but a few of them were fatty or overcooked. The flavor was good for the most part but we had to put a few pieces aside that were too fatty or not cooked properly. The picanha was good but some pieces were tough and overcooked. The tri-tip was the same, which was disappointing as that's my favorite. The blue cheese steak was different and tasty. The issue was the inconsistency of the meats. Overall the service was outstanding but the missed quality of the meats caused the review to be 4 stars. read more

Everything was well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and kept coming, so I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the service was excellent. Among the Brazilian grill, they are on the middle of the pack. The salad bar and hot bar is good. The meat selection is just ok in compare to all the cut meat in the Bay Area. The best meat cut is the picanha and the tri tip sirloin. All the rest just ok. But I like the chicken heart. It is tasty. The salad bar has wide range of selection. This includes the heart of palm. Overall service after sit down is good. Even the restaurant is kind of empty, but wait to be seated is about 10 minutes. After reading several terrible reviews, I was unsure of what to expect for my first visit to Rodizio. I also noticed there were few pictures posted by patrons; now I understand why! The meats are continuously coming, presenting few photographing opportunities - and I must say, the majority of the cuts were delicious. The salad bar is also impressive with many hot and cold options - including warm pasta for those who want a side of Italian food with their meal. I was particularly impressed by the service. When we asked if chicken other than the hearts would be coming around, our server was on it! Within moments, two different skewers of chicken came to our table. Both the bacon wrapped chicken and sweet and spicy chicken were good. However, my favorite beef cuts were the picanha (of course), and surprisingly, the parmesan steak. They also have plenty of specialty drinks on the menu - the wine selection is decent but limited. Overall, I found our experience to be pleasant. We love that they built this location! We counted down until the grand opening and now we visit probably once a month. The food is always fresh and high quality. Only once did we leave feeling like we didn't receive all the meats. It was a very busy night towards the end of the night, and we were sat back in a corner. Most likely why. But we do not hold a grudge, it is still one of our favorites. We love that when we are dieting we can come and just eat like carnivores. So many meats to choose from. The salad bar is also excellent with a wide variety to choose from. The dining room is very large and can accommodate many people and parties. The restrooms are clean and they do a nice job of keeping the whole place tidy. Also a new addition, free valet. With the large parking lot that overflows into a shopping mall, there is no issues there. All of the staff is super friendly and happy to help whenever called on. Also, baby approved!! read more

Let me start off by saying this is a very tough review to write. The restaurant itself is stunningly beautiful and very comfortable in every way. A wonderful addition to the Wesley Chapel dining scene. Our server was phenomenal. She was attentive and very personable. Highly recommend her. The salad bar itself was phenomenal. It was very attractive to look at and no shortage of delicious options to enjoy. The challenging part is why we all go there, the meats themselves. First, the portions were tiny, almost like scraps. Salmon serving was no bigger than a 1" x 1" square In many ways, I suppose that was OK because here comes the tough part. There was nothing that stood out as being really enjoyable. I had one piece of beef that was bacon wrapped. It was small and I only took one, wish I took more. Because when he came around again with what was supposed to be the same item, it wasn't even close. This was my first time to a Brazilian steakhouse and the waitress was went over all the details on how it works. Flip green up to keep the meats coming, flip red up to stop. There were plenty of waiter moving around the restaurant to offer up such goodness like sirloin steak, lamb, Hawaiian chicken, Parmesan chicken, Hawaiian ham, grilled pineapple to name a few. Their side item/salad bar had a large variety of options to choose from like rice, mashed potatoes, cheese bread, all the salad fixings, etc. We order 2 drinks from the bar and they were delicious! A pina colada and a flavored martini. The Hawaiian ham and grilled pineapple were both of our favs! Oh! We had an overall pleasant experience here at Rodizios. This is a chain I am familiar with but my first time trying it. Definitely left full and satisfied while not taking too much of a hit to the wallet. I liked the system of red light, green light because it opened a good flow of conversation, eating, and processing. Would definitely recommend hitting up the salad bar before you start consuming because once you sit there is no stopping until the whistle. Went yesterday afternoon to celebrate a family event. Even though they had a lot of staff I felt they never cleaned off table of unused plates. As you know this a buffet style place and several plates get frequently used. Circulation of guacho meats were not being offered throughout the meal. We had to frequently make requests of meats. For the amount of money it cost for a meal here. I would appreciate it if management offers my family a discount for another visit to make it right. If not I would appreciate it if they get it right for the next customer. One thing they did get right. Place was clean and organized. They have a great selection in the salad bar to choose from such as different cheeses, green salads, seasoned mushrooms , cooked garlic etc. They had a hot section which has some white rice, beans, cooked pasta with white sauce, French fries. They have a full bar, great drink the Brazilian caipirinha . Very big place, they also have 2 private rooms for any occasion. Our server was very helpful in how to order the different meats, like switching the topple from green to let the different meats arrive to red to make it stop. I'm actually really disappointed. We went today, their second day of being open. We were a group of 4 with a reservation and we waited an extra 20 minutes past our reservation time. Fine, not a problem, working out the kinks. Let's focus on the good: the decor, our waitress sofi was great and the bread rolls were incredible. I loved how hot they were. The not so good: the meat was really fatty and salty, there weren't many different meat options, were offered the same meat 5 times, the rotations were super slow, the lighting was like we were landing at Tampa airport and we were always offered the last of the meat stick. We kept having to ask for fresh meat. I feel bad writing a negative review so soon after opening, but I just feel like there are other Brazilian restaurants that are better quality. read more

As seeing some reviews on here were very negative I feel it is necessary to say the experience and food was wonderful. I went as a work trip with 8 of us and the server came and told us exactly how everything works I think it is a brilliant system since they just come and offer you food when YOU want. The salad bowl was massive so much to choose from it was fully customizable. The meat was a little salty that's more of a warning than a complaint because that is consistent with the rest of the Brazilian steakhouses I've been too. I'd like to begin with the positive, because good service deserves recognition. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful--attentive, friendly, and on point throughout our visit. The gauchos, though young, were also professional and did a great job. That said, the food quality left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, the salad bar was sparse and unappealing. The iceberg lettuce was yellowing and brown, which didn't inspire confidence. We never made it to the hot bar because our experience was cut short. We waited quite a while for the picanha, which was good. Next came the "beef tender," which my husband and I both tried. The moment we took a bite, the taste was unmistakably rancid--not dry-aged, not gamey, just spoiled. We immediately spit it out and could clearly smell the sour odor on the meat. Our waitress noticed and acted quickly, going to get the manager. When Phillipe arrived, he smelled the meat himself and responded with, "This particular cut of meat, this is how it smells." That response was unacceptable. Whether the cut was off or not, food that tastes and smells spoiled should never reach a guest's plate--especially not at a restaurant known for quality meats. While the service team did their best, the food and the management response left us disappointed and, frankly, concerned. Not only was that response unacceptable, but when we expressed our concerns further, Philippe became argumentative and dismissive. This new Brazilian steakhouse is located next to Costco at Tampa outlet mall of Wesley Chapel. We were there Friday afternoon. It's not so crowded so we can slowly enjoy their variety of meats. The salad bar and hot appetizer station got so many options and they looked fresh and tasty. The items I tried were not bad. The employee brought different meats with different seasoning to our table. The piece got cut out. I picked it up with my tong and placed it in my plate. I had at least tried 10 different items. They were all fresh, temperature hot, well seasoned and good quality cut. My top favorite were the chicken heart, and the pernil(crispy pork). Beef steak were also quite good. I liked the grill pineapple when the fruit was sweet. The services were attentive, such a great team work! The meat cutter cowboys explained to us about the cut so well, so I can decide my option. The interior decoration was beautiful, modern and wide opened. The big bull statue outside the front door looked awesome. This is a good enough restaurant for its price range and good news for all the meat lovers at northern Tampa area. read more

They just opened on 6/10 and the place was packed. I have to give it to the entire staff, everyone did a fantastic job!! For being the first day open and the style of restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the host staff greeted us and got us checked in. We then got taken to the table and were greeted shortly after by the server. He explained the set up, red is break time, green is meat time and when set on side it's dessert time. We ordered the virgin piña coladas. Best I've had in my entire life!! The salad bar was amazing, so many options. Then the meats. We had so many. I will say I was so happy and in conversation that I forgot to take my phone out for pictures. We had sausage, sweet & spicy chicken, bacon wrapped chicken, pork, lamb, chicken hearts, pineapple (amazing) everyone at table loved it, ham, picanna, flank, ribeye I can't remember what else. I don't like writing negative reviews but thought it was necessary. I went to Rodizio's Saturday a few weeks ago with a friend. The steaks seemed very salty and the salmon warm. The buffet however was good. Unfortunately, the next day I was nauseous, fatigue and diarrhea. My friend said he had stomach reaction from the food a few hours after we left the restaurant but felt better the next day. However, my nausea feeling and fatigue continued through the next few days so I went to my doctor. They gave me some meds. They didn't help so i went back to the doctor a few days later who prescribed different meds. I was looking forward going to Rodizio since they opened. I'm disconcerted it wasn't a good experience. read more

I read people's reviews above and dont understand their complaints. They are trying to compare Rodizio to Texas De Brazil amd they aren't the same. Rodizio is more of a family oriented restaurant. Texas DE Brazil is more for adults or business. I enjoyed the restaurant. The food was really good and I liked the service a lot. They are super friendly. I highly recommend Giavanna as a server. But I didn't like the ambiance. It was super bright as if we were sitting in a large open meeting hall. Didn't like that. Brazilian BBQ when done correctly is a hard to improve cornucopia of fresh veggies and accompaniments at the salad bar, followed by a veritable tsunami of hot, perfectly grilled, juicy, packed with flavor meats in overwhelming abundance. The best places surround you with roving 'gauchos' whom you have to signal a pause to while you heartily enjoy what their colleagues have cut fresh for you from their skewers. Rodizio Grill is a weak version of this with a nice but second rate salad bar and weak offerings from the meat department. Glazed ham on a skewer is neither Brazilian nor particularly appealing, tenderloin was a small cut to begin with and slow in arriving, and overall the experience simply doesn't compare to other restaurants offering the classic experience. In Tampa i prefer Terra Gaucha by far, worth the drive South from Wesley Chapel. read more

We went on Father's Day so it was super busy. I ordered a Pina Colada (without the pineapple) and it took forever to get it. It had so much pineapple in it, it kept getting stuck in the straw and I had to throw the straw away. It was super creamy and I couldn't taste much alcohol in it. I later saw a huge machine by the bar which I assumed was for the pina colada so why the long wait? Our server came by three times to let me know it was coming right up! The hot sides I tried were very unremarkable. The "whipped" potatoes were runny. The rigatoni Alfredo had no flavor and was dry. The cinnamon fried bananas had barely any cinnamon (even if you added more). I liked the fries. Crunchy outside, creamy inside. The biggest disappointment was the Brazilian cheesy bread. In my past experience with Brazilian restaurants this was always the star of the show. It would be served in a basket at the table and you'd try not to eat too much to leave room for your meal. The cheese bread here was under lights at the hot sides area. It was dry and inedible. Not even cheesy. The gourmet salads were okay. I especially liked the coconut/pineapple slaw. I found it refreshing and went back for more. It really lifted the heaviness of everything else. Other than that, everything else was just okay (not great). I had to doctor my BLT salad by adding more blue cheese dressing and bacon bits. The charcuterie was a cheap huge slice of dry salami and cubes of grocery store cheeses. The chimichuri sauce was oily and thin with large bits of onion. Not bright green as I was used to. The garlic toast barely had any garlic flavor and some pieces barely had any butter on at all. Another reviewer noted the lack of filet mignon and I agree. My husband likes his meat well done and he found some pieces so chewy that he had to spit them out. I am well versed on the cuts of meat and most of the cuts they offer are not meant to be eaten well done. There were no pork offerings and nothing wrapped in bacon. The linguisa (sausage) was dry. The garlic parm chicken was super salty. The size of the parking lot doesn't accommodate the size of the restaurant. We arrived at 4:15 for a 4:30 reservation and we had to park a long ways away in front of the Kohl's store. My husband has a handicap plaque which was useless here. Not enough handicapped parking. We agreed that we would give this place a wide berth in future. The lack of quality really takes away from the Brazilian experience. We went on a Sunday and they had only been open since Tuesday. The meat servers were also not all dressed in traditional garb as has been my experience in the past. Some were but most were not. Having the servers dressed with traditional scarves and boots also adds to the experience. read more

We had such a horrible experience here. The general staff have been very hard working but the moment we arrived we received horrible attitude and service from the manager. We told her we had food aversions so we dont eat everything and she didn't even serve us anything other than chicken when we repeatedly asked for fish. The steak flavor was jacked with sodium and the meat had an odd smell. The chicken looked amazing till you taste it and also had a foul smell to it. They are no competition to the other Brazilian steak houses in greater Tampa area. I never seen chicken hearts on a stick but hey maybe great for some. NO filet mignon like the other steak houses offer...Thats big for us. We paid $240 including tip (20%) and simply not worth it at all. If they are to make this place work, they need to invest in quality and some Braveheart chefs that can put them on the map. read more
