Service was great! Wish I could give a 5 but the food was awful. Salad bar items were just not good, nothing tasted fresh. They did have lots of meat options but the quality was so awful. A bad piece of chicken and the server kept trying to serve my husband fat pieces... are they trained to just get rid of the meat? Please don't waste your money here. Turned away at the door! Because the 8 hostesses said reservations only. The company nor site specific site do not state this and the door itself only says reservations highly recommended. I find this a bad business practice. We were prepared to wait but never given that opportunity. But really, how hard would a table for 2 at 5:45 be? Horrible Experience -- Don't Waste Your Time or Money I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Rodizio Grill in Lutz was so bad I had to speak up. From the moment we walked in, the service was disorganized and inattentive. It only got worse from there. The meats -- which are supposed to be the highlight of any rodizio -- were dry, bland, and tasted like they'd been sitting out way too long. Nothing was fresh, and the cuts were incredibly low quality. Honestly, I've had better steak at a fast food place. To top it all off, the manager was shockingly rude when we tried to politely raise our concerns. No apology, just attitude. It felt like they didn't care whether we enjoyed our meal or not -- and trust me, we didn't. This place is overpriced, underwhelming, and unprofessional. As someone who frequents Brazilian steakhouses, I was excited to try Rodizio for the first time today. Starting off with the pros - no wait time on a Friday evening, friendly servers, the decor and ambiance are nice, and our waitress was super sweet and attentive. The garlic chicken and beef ribs were delicious, but that's about where it ends. Almost all of the hot food I tried from the self serve area was overcooked and hard as a rock. Even the white rice was crunchy and inedible. The first batch of fries my kids got were also rock hard solid and tasted old. I will say that our waitress grabbed us a second serving of fries that tasted much better, so perhaps the first helping we received was just sitting out for a while, as it wasn't busy at all. Even the Brazilian cheese bread was 50/50, half the pieces I got were normal and the other half were like biting into bricks. As other reviewers have mentioned, the steak portions that they cut for you are teeny tiny, especially in comparison to what they serve at other Brazilian steakhouse restaurants. I'm glad that we tried it out, but don't plan to return to Rodizio in the future, as this place just didn't meet my standards, food-wise. read more

Because there is so many mixed reviews I thought I'd give me two cents... we went this past Thursday and for background- I almost only did the salad bar because I'm not big on meats but am a side and salad junky, husband once did the carnivore and paleo diet lol so this was for his birthday and he wanted me to try the meat cuts with him. We were both extremely happy with the cuts offered, they were cooked very well, nothing was chewy or overdone (meh the bacon wrapped sirloin was a little overdone but to give them credit, it's hard to get crispness on bacon without overdoing the cut inside) he loved the lamb, and I even like the pork loin or chops? I'm not completely certain which it was but this is a dish I typically don't like. So we went with high hopes after visiting just about every major Brazilian steakhouses in central Florida as this is close to where we call home. In Tampa we've been to Texas De Brazil (TDB) and Terra Gaucha. In Orlando Fogo De Chau and Adega Gaucha. The best thing about Rodizio Grill is the building itself. They did a very nice job and the architecture is great. Super easy to park with lot overflow at the Kohl's right next door. When it comes to the food, unfortunately they're not ready for prime time. Mind you that they've only been open for about a week and I'm sure they still need to get their footing. The staff at the front desk were friendly. We didn't have a reservation yet despite lots of open tables, we had to wait for a bit. Others were waiting too. They initially said about half an hour. We went to the bar and grabbed a drink. The bar, for some mysterious reason, vibrates. At least it did the entire time we sat there. We all commented that it was odd. The bathrooms are new and nice & clean. They had a men's room, a woman's room, and two others for single use which I thought was great. If you had any concerns about who may be in either of the men's or women's you could opt for the single use so everyone could be happy in 2025. Only 15 minutes later one of the staff grabbed us and brought us to our table which was a nice surprise. I've been to so many Brazilian steakhouses like this I can now quickly determine the quality of the meal in most cases by visiting the cold and hot food bar first and looking at one thing: A quick glance at the wheel of parmesan cheese is a great indicator. At TDB every time we've gone the wheel was from BelGioioso from Wisconsin. Visit Terra Gaucha in South Tampa and you'll see an authentic wheel of parmesan cheese from Italy. The wheel at Rodizio Grill, had no markings what so ever. No clue who made it or where it came from. The menu is more limited than that of TDB and FAR less than options at Terra Gaucha. You won't see cuts of meat here that you do at the other places. We never were asked how we actually like our meat cooked like we have at every other place we visited. The staff walking around with the skewers didn't seem like they had much comfort performing the job they were doing (again could get better in time). The skewers of meat also seemed smaller compared to the other places. The size of the pieces of meat they would cut for you seemed more like you'd see in a tapas bar than in a steakhouse. There was one guy who actually seemed to give us a nice sized slice of meat, however we only saw him one time. Whoever is in charge of cooking the meat needs help. Just about every piece of meat we had was overcooked and mostly grayed out. If you like well done then you'll love this place. Everyone at our table liked medium rare to rare. We never got any. Also we had to ask 7 times to actually get certain meats to make it to our table. The other places seem to do much better in having more staff walking around with skewers of meat than Rodizio Grill. As for the quality of the meat I would say slightly below that of TDB unfortunately. Absolutely they don't hold a candle to the quality of meat at Terra Gaucho locally. The other places bring your cheesy bread, maduros and fried yucca hot sides to your table. Rodizio makes you go get them yourself. A minor thing? Not sure. Just thought it was different. Side note the BEST when it comes to side dishes is Adega Gaucho in Orlando (and my opinion best overall churrasco in central Florida slightly beating Terra Gaucho). They have MANY choices which help elevate the experience. I always get the black beans and white rice at the hot bar every place we visit. Rodizio's was tasty and I was happy about that. There was no pressure from the staff to hurray up and eat and leave. The people there are pleasant. Just not firing on all cylinders yet. Surprised by all the 5 star reviews on Google. I would say that Terra Gaucho in South Tampa still by far the best in Tampa and it's not even close. Best quality meats, lots of selection, great quality ingredients at the hot and cold bar. It's worth the extra $10. I really don't think TDB is all that great after going there more than 5 or 6 times just from a standpoint of the quality of the meat they send out of the kitchen. Rodizio Grill, unfortunately I felt like it was a corporate attempt at the true churrasco experience. And that's fine. I get there's different level of quality of all types of restaurants. Was just hoping for far more as an excuse to go more often being so close. All of us at our table said we'd go back to Terra Gaucho again while sitting at our table at Rodizio Grill. We'd drive the extra distance and pay the extra $$ for the far better experience. And none would revisit TDB nor wanted to revisit Rodizio Grill. read more

We visited this establishment for a birthday celebration with a party of 8. After watching YouTube videos of the Rodizio Orlando location, I was hyped to enjoy a great meal! Well unfortunately I was let down. First impressions are everything when it comes to first time customers. Eric, our server, was the first problem we encountered. He was cold and showed no welcoming enthusiasm. It was strictly business only with this guy. The second problem was the choices on the salad bar. When the place is crowded the chaffing trays are empty. One item that this Rodizio is known for is their homemade Chimichurri sauce, but this location didn't even bother to blend the ingredients so you basically had a oilly soup with large parsley and cilantro leaves. The third problem was the choices of your meats. I counted four to five. For the price $54.99 a person, I believe we should be getting more than just different flovered sirloins and chicken. Where are the baby back ribs and beef ribs that the Orlando location offer? Also with high end price the salad bar should include some desserts for those who choose not to have the meat selections. I can also advise you to check your bill at the end, yes they added a 20% tip without advising us of this charge! This place is a "don't visit again"kind of place. read more

I think the customer service was amazing. The food is just very mediocre compared to the other steakhouses. Texas de Brazil and Terra Gaucha have significantly better food quality, and surprisingly, they're cheaper. People are very nice but I'd rather make the drive for better food quality and variety. I do hope this place improves on the food and hopefully gets better. But yeah, I'm sad to say it's the food quality for the price and that's coming from someone who will eat anything. read more

In town to visit family and had dinner at this recently opened location. Service was fabulous especially our server Nae, she explained the whole process since we were new to the experience, was very attentive and had a great attitude/spirit. The gauchos described each different type of meat they were bringing around and made sure you got the temp you wanted. The flavors were all amazing! It's a very pretty room with areas for private groups if desired, some rustic touches like the large natural wood table. Considering there were at least 8-10 birthday songs while we were dining I'm guessing this will be *the* place to celebrate in the area. The amount of food choices is somewhat overwhelming. You can choose to make your dinner from just the sides and salad bar for a lower price and there are definitely enough entree type options to do that but why would you pass up on the experience?! There is really no waiting on the food once you are seated, they get right to it as soon as you flip your indicator to green and the skewers start coming. Saving room probably isn't an option here but the dessert choices are worth it too, we split a flan for the table but we're tempted by many of the plates. read more

When we went only chicken and pork served at the table, even pineapple why would I pay so much money for chicken, pork, pineapple and chicken hearts plus only 2 types of steak and tasted like rubber. Gaucho's with poor training, not personable like in Texas of Brazil. The only friendly Gaucho was a young black kid (forgot his name), but had the best attitude of them all. I regret spending my money there. I will not be giving it a 2nd chance for my money, unless they change management and serve better meats. read more

Dirty!! All the tables had tablecloths and when they removed them from the last guest you can see how dirty the table was. They didn't clean them, they just put a fresh tablecloth on it. My fresh napkin at my seat had dried food in it and I got a plate at the salad bar was dirty as well. The food at the salad bar looked like it had been there all day. They were bringing out pieces of meat that were an inch thick like they were using every last piece. You never would see that at Terra Gaucho or Texas De Brazil. I saw more straw wrapper on the floor with staff just walking by. If these are all things we see, what aren't we seeing? They need to find a way to do better but we won't be back. Imagine golden corral asking you to make a reservation to eat at their restaurant, that is what it is like to go here. Is the atmosphere nicer than a golden corral? yes but only because they charge 50 dollars for their buffet. Call it a steak house all you want but its a buffet. read more

The place was nice. The food was good but the portions were small. When I asked the waiter why so small pieces he told me he was limited on what he was able to give to every customer and they get even smaller around 9pm cause more customers come in. I paid for all I could eat I want all I could eat. The dessert was not cooked all the way I got some Chiro thing that was mush on the inside. The waitress filled my glass of water and I didn't see her the rest of the night till it was dessert time so I set through the meal without a drink till I found another lady to fill my glass. Definitely need some work at this place. They don't have filet mignon like the other Brazilian steakhouses too, and there were a couple other things that they didn't offer. They did offer chicken heart never seen that before and it wasn't too bad to be honest with you, but if I were going to spend $55, I would much rather go to Texas de Brazil or terra gaucha in south Tampa. read more
