    Spanakopita

Great Greek spot in the white oak area! All the food is reasonably priced and portions are large. Reasonably fresh too. I got to try their baklava cheesecake, gyro, and spanakopita. The gyro was very nice. Filled with meat that was solidly seasoned, and pretty fresh vegetables. Basic pita and pretty basic tzatziki, but still very good. The spanakopita was nice. Perfectly crispy on the sides but filled with feta and a reasonable amount of spinach. Flavorful without being too salty. The baklava cheesecake was surprisingly good. Usually it has a fridge taste to it, but clearly this one was fresh. It was creamy and not over the top sweet. Really enjoyed it.

Love the cheese and olive appetizer. Salad was fresh. Gyro is huge! Greek pasta is good but a little bland. Servers were busy yet kind.

This place is amazing. Love the owners, the workers, the environment, the food. The food is outstanding and everything is so good. Decent portion sizes and prices are good. 10 out 5 always. Thank you Rodos!

The people working here are super friendly & helpful. They made a mistake with one of my orders (forgot the tzatziki on the side & no cucumbers), and they completely made a new one and allowed me to keep the extra! The restaurant is quite small; although, there are some seat by the window. Nevertheless, this spot is perfect for quick takeout, and I love that it's local! Here's what I've tried: [Chicken Gryo]: Flavorful & stuffed full. This can be super messy so ask for the tzatziki on the side. I love that they put fries on their gyros. That's what I saw in Santorini. [Hummus]: Both hummus that I have tried has been super flavorful & authentic. The classic garlic hummus is out of this world, and I really loved the spiciness & mix of feta in the Spicy Hummus. Pro Tip: order extra pita with the hummus. There's not enough! [Baklava Cheesecake]: Although this isn't exactly authentic, it was delicious. I love baklava, and I love cheesecake. This was a winning combination for me. A flaky top with a creamy inside allowed for the perfect dessert! [Rice Pudding]: I didn't take a picture of this dessert, but it was delicious nonetheless. It's creamy and vanilla-y (Is that a word?!?), and the cinnamon on top pairs perfectly for a more than flavorful dessert. They always have a special of 2 for $6. Perfect for eating one now & saving one for lunch tomorrow! [Crab Cake Gyro]: For Lenten, they have specials, and this one did not disappoint. The crab cake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love the innovation of the seaside tzatziki that paired well with the crab cake. I tasted a hint of Old Bay. Perfection. I will be eating at this place over and over again. I cannot wait to try everything on the menu!

Am looking forward to being back! My server was Tolia (sorry if I'm misspelling/misremembering) and she did an AMAZING job. She was super friendly, made awesome menu recommendations and was a delight to chat to. She recommended I start with the char grilled octopus and this was delicious. It came with capers and a grilled lemon and olive oil and was beautifully presented. The potion was easily finished by just me, so if you have more than 2 people I'd recommend getting more than 1 order of these. It's so delicious. I was then picking between the pastitsio and the moussaka. I was told they both have a strong nutmeg flavor which was not a problem for me. I decided on the moussaka and it was so delicious. It did have a strong nutmeg flavor but not in an overwhelming way. It came with a bechamel sauce on top and layers of eggplant with ground beef tomato and potato. It sort of reminded me of a shepherds pie if you're not as familiar with Greek food. The portion was HUGE - could easily split between 2. I ate almost half of it but couldn't eat the rest although I wish I could've. It was so good. The cocktail I ordered was a nectar spritz (something with "nectar" in the title at least) and genuinely was one of the best cocktails I've had. Definitely beat every other one I had in Pittsburgh this week by FAR. So yummy. I was so impressed with every aspect of my dining experience and would definitely be back!

Very expensive for 2 very small banana peppers with feta and marinara. Not very good. The spanakopita had 2 large pieces over a salad. Very good. For dinner I had the Shrimp Sunrise which is shrimp, rice, and feta. Tails present well but trying to eat are a little messy. The other diner had the seafood medley with mussels, shrimp, etc. over pasta. Both meals were large portions and we took half home. Suprised by number of food options. Will be back to try other offerings.

Sides were mixed vegetables and a mix of rice and bulgur. Chicken Shish Kebab - 4 stars - The chunks of chicken were large and juicy and had a mild seasoning. On the side was rice pilav. Turkish Tea - 4.5 stars - This black tea was a good size and was served hot. Packets of sweeteners were available. The total price was $55 plus tax and tip.
