I've been using Roger's Plumbing for several years and will not be calling them again based on a recent experience. I called them to install a new faucet and mentioned to the plumber who came out that our water pressure seemed low. He checked the outside pressure gauge and told me it needed to be replaced and gave me a bid for over a $1000. I checked my past invoices and they had replaced the pressure valve in 2010 and gave me a 5 year warranty (cost was a bit over $500, so their prices have more than doubled in two years). When I called to schedule the warranty work, they had the same plumber come out to "look at it again" and magically he was able to increase the water pressure without changing the pressure valve. All of the sudden the pressure valve he told me needed to be replaced was working perfectly. read more

The worst! Completely unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment a couple of days out for the 2-4 pm window. I received a call from Angela at 2:20pm telling me that there's no way her guys are going to make it that day. She rescheduled me for after 3pm the following day. I get a call back from her at 4:40pm telling me her guys can come now...I'm on my way out the door, so I stick with the rescheduled time the next day. Next day rolls around and Angela's calling me at 10:30am wanting to know if her guys can come earlier. I'm at work and tell her I may be able to make it a little earlier than 3 and will call her when I'm on my way home. I call at 1:15 to let her know that I will be home by 2:00. Her response was "it's going to be after 3, I'll call you when they're on the way". It's now 3 days later and I still haven't heard from Angela ar any other member of the Roger's Plumbing team. I called and left a message the day I was waiting around for them...still nothing. I wish I had checked the reviews here before I called..clearly this is a recurring theme. These guys are the people I call whenever I have plumbing problems. We had an issue a few years ago that I couldn't fix myself. I got Roger's Plumbing from the Better Business Bureau website. I was nervous calling in a business I've never worked with but I didn't have any friends who could recommend Plumbers. One of their guys came in and replaced the broken part. He was very courteous and polite. I kept asking him questions about what he was doing in the hopes of picking up some knowledge on how the job was done. He showed me what he was doing step by step with a smile! In the end the fee was a bit more than I anticipated but he got it from a price sheet. They don't bargain. They're straightforward on their pricing. Also there was a 2 year unconditional warranty for the part. A year later, it started leaking and after searching for the receipt and warranty I called them. They sent someone down the next day and never even asked for any receipt or paperwork. They replaced it with no questions. Only smiles! In fact, when he came the 2nd time to replace the part, it had already stopped leaking. He replaced it anyway! I highly recommend this company for any of your plumbing issues, you'll thank me later! read more

Never call a service professional because they put a Jesus fish on their logo. The 2 old faucets I had already taken out in the master bathroom and the new ones were prepped and placed in their positions ready to be installed. I could have done the work myself but was going out of town and rushed for time. Also, my house was for sale and I wanted the faucets functional if someone came looking. The gentleman who showed up was professional. He went straight to the bathroom to survey the need and draw up a quote. I was anticipating around $300 for 2 hours of work max. That's 2 hours max for me the non plumber. He comes to me and hands me the quote and I almost flipped a lid. $1200! Feeling insulted and offended I asked him to leave before saying the words that I was thinking in front of my kids. He obliged and was kind enough to honor my request of waiving the fee for the service call. My wife and I went out of town and my friend/realtor asked her brother to look at the faucets. He installed both in less than an hour and didn't bill me. read more

I had previously used Roger's plumbing to snake our pipes and was pleased with the service and the professionalism. I had recommended them to friends. This was several years ago, and recently I needed them to come out the house to check for a slow leak that was costing me a lot of money. Due to previous positive experience, I accepted the 5 day scheduled delay to get out to our house and investigate. They had given me a two hour window for when they would arrive. One hour into that window, I received a call from their office indicating that they couldn't make it out to my house because they were too busy. Two days from the scheduled appointment would be the quickest the could get out. I will never be calling nor recommending these people again. Terrible to waste your customer's time in such a manner. read more

We've used Roger's Plumbing since moving here 5 years ago. I couldn't be happier! I have always had top-notch service when someone comes out, either for an emergency or a yearly maintenance service. We had a weekend water-heater leak a while back that left our garage a mess. We were fortunate to have one of the guys there quickly, and efficiently replace what he needed to without replacing the whole water heater. Roger himself has come out to the house, too, and I've always been very satisfied with the work he's done. They are more than a magnet on my fridge--they are a team I rely on. read more

If there were a choice for no stars, I would haven chosen that! I had them come out and replace my water pressure regulator valve which is a $300-$400 job (this is what I paid at my last house to have this replaced). They dug up the valve and gave me an estimate of $1,214! That's insane! Luckily I know what this should cost and found a plumber to do it for $375. Don't use this company!!!!!!!!!!! I had a water leak in my main water line that was either under my foundation or in my yard. I am in Central Austin with a foundation. When I called Roger's they communicated to me their prices based on different scenarios, including the $45 initial fee for coming out which included the 1st hour. They were not able to schedule them to come out for 3 days. When Jarrod showed up, On-Time, he was very nice and communicated very well his process of what he was going to do. I was in a very insecure position and Jarrod could have easily told me he would have to use the "Sonar" machine to find the leak in the lines. This would have cost me $310 per hour to use. Instead he utilized a metal probe that has probably been around for 100 years and simple. He started sticking it in the ground around spots that are usual suspects for the lines. Within 10 minutes he found the leak, and it was in my yard close to a tree. To sum it up he cost me $45 dollars and in less than 30 minutes had found my leak to fix. Now they are plumbers and are not the cheapest you can find...but their experience can possibly save you money and time to pinpoint the problems quickly. read more

The response time was really fast and after the visit, not only did Roger himself, give me a complete walkthrough of my system and the solution, he also FIXED our kitchen sink hot water problem on the spot. How often does the owner of an established plumbing company come to your house to perform the service you requested? I couldn't believe it, but there Roger was on the doorstep! We started using Roger's Plumbing when we had trouble with a leak in the kitchen and had other plumbers out to detect leak to no avail. We called Roger's Plumbing and they figured out the solution, which involved removing the toilet, discovering a cracked flange and repairing the elusive leak. They did the hard work to locate the problem! We signed up for the Diamond Club and now we go to the front of the appointment line and get a 15% discount on repairs! read more

My two outdoor water spigots were leaking and in trying to repair them, I found out that my main water shutoff valve was broken. And so, I had to look for a plumber. At first, I found one using a phone app, scheduled a time, and waited...and waited. 45 minutes later, still no one showed up, and so I called and got the excuse that he forgot to call and let me know he was going to be late, and that it would be another hour before he would arrive. Yeah..that wasn't going to happen. I canceled and the very next day called Roger's Plumbing. Angela answered and was very nice, and said she could have someone meet me up the next day, and the next day I met up with Chris. He was on time and very professional. I explained the situation, he took a look and explained to me in detail what was needed, explained the pricing and warranty, and we then set up a time to get the job done. It was hassle free! Sure enough, Chris came on the day that we set up and texted me to let me know he was getting started. I was at work, and appreciated that he informed me that he was on the job. He even texted me pictures, showing me progress along the way. I got to see the pipes and valves after he dug into it and the beautiful new pipes and valves after he finished the job. And a bonus surprise, as I found out later, was that he went ahead and even replaced the two leaky spigots with brand new ones. I had thought he was just going to fix them. This was at no extra charge. Excellent! The entire experience was excellent, and I had repairs done in a matter of days. They are now my go to plumbers for any future projects or repairs. A serious rip off. They wanted to charge me what they call 3 "Level 4's" that totaled roughly $900 to fix the heating element in my water heater. I was told it was company policy to replace both thermostats and both heating elements (my water heater only has one) plus they wanted to also charge the Level 4 - $297 to drain the water heater and add one of their valves (also company policy) my husband who had never done this before hooked up the hose and drained it and unscrewed the thermostat, pulled out the element and replaced both all in less that an hour and $30 at Lowes. read more

I purchased 2 new a/c units (Carrier, 1 upstairs, 1 down) in 2013 and after about a year had a problem with the drain(age) outside my house by the units. They came out, spent quite awhile here and couldn't figure out what was wrong, but charged me quite a bit just for coming out and looking. I then called Roger's Plumbing, and Chris came that same day. He found the problem, fixed it, and charged me an hour of labor. McCullough guy spent at least 3 hours, fixed nothing, and charged me for the time he spent at my house. Last week my water heater broke. It was in the afternoon. I called, spoke to Angela, and she had Chris call me back and tell me what to do until they could come fix it. Chris and Joe came early the next morning and put in a new water heater. I have used a couple of other plumbers in the last 10 years, but have never been happy with work done. I will never call anyone else for problems except Roger's Plumbing. Set an appointment and was instructed it was a 2 hr window and they would call to let me know when the plumber was 30 mins out. The appointment window worked perfectly because I was able to work until I received the call. I had a severe shower leak which was diagnosed quickly. Unfortunately, the leak had nothing to do with the plumbing, a recommendation was made for the repair. Along with the leak diagnosis the plumber checked all the bathrooms for leaks and efficiency. Roger's Plumbing (Riley) came out to give me an estimate on installation of a water softener. I was most pleased to hear that digging a line through our yard and going into the side of our house (brick) wasn't necessary. Going through the attic and tying into the plumbing where hot water heater is located in garage is very appealing. I had a previous quote from another company and that part was a complete turnoff. I realize my home is newer and this may not be the case for other homeowners but it certainly makes a difference to me. Angela and Riley provided superb customer service. A few years back, Roger recommended a water alarm for our washer/ dryer area. It turns out our old washer broke and had developed a leak. The water alarm woke us in the middle of the night, which allowed us to turn off the water to the washer and saved our hardwood floors. Thanks Roger for being so proactive! So this is the 2nd time I have used Roger's services. My pressure was extremely low in our house and I was afraid it might lead to a very costly repair. The valve is the homeowners responsibility and is expensive if not operating correctly. Roger didn't only come out on time, but quickly fixed this with a simple adjustment. Most people would try to add on extra services or replace parts that don't need to be replaced. I value somebody that just tells you like it is and does honest work. Nice job again Roger!! read more

Way way way over priced, but fast to get out to fix our issue because of a canceled appointment somewhere else. The men that came out were nice enough, but I felt I didn't get the full perspective of what they were doing, as he pulled out the price sheet, pointed to a number (the cost) and described "digging" and "replacing" of pipes (the work was outside in the lawn) in order to turn a valve. If I knew more about plumbing perhaps I could have asked more pointed questions... Upon agreeing and thinking they would be out there for at least an hour with the work, I heard a knock after about 10 minutes, if that, and them saying they had completed the work and needed to test the pressure. They fixed the issue but to pay hundreds of dollars (approximately $500) for under 10 minutes worth of work seems completely ludicrous, seeing as how they literally could have told me how to do it and it was simple enough, it turns out, that I would have be able to easily fix it myself. I called and was told Roger will get back with me to discuss this but I never received a call back. Overall they were nice and got the job done but I really felt ripped off and with no call back I assume customer service is low on the priority list. read more

We called Roger's Plumbing last month when we had a broken pipe under the front yard. The technician was very polite and friendly. After his initial quote, we spoke for a few minutes and decided to fix the problem ourselves. He was very understanding and helpful with his knowledge and experience and gave us plenty of insight in regards to making sure it was fixed correctly as to not cost us more than was needed. We've used Roger's Plumbing for well over 10 years and have only had positive experiences with their repairs, service, and professionalism. We've always been able to count on their reliability and believe they are trustworthy. A few times they've asked to move up/back my appointment time by a short amount of time, but it makes sense that sometimes a plumbing call ends up being more complicated or involved than they know until they actually see what they're dealing with. I've appreciated the fact that they've at least called rather than being a no-show. Also, when we've had emergency plumbing issues, they've always made us a priority, so I can respect a company that occasionally needs to work around their schedule to make sure those with emergencies have their situations resolved first. And, quite honestly, in over 10 years, we might have had to be rescheduled to another day once, if that. I wouldn't hesitate at all in recommending them to my friends and neighbors. read more
