Original we wanted to do brisket, chicken and ribs. The cashier said they were out of ribs but had rib tips and said we could substitute. As we were beginning to order the cook came out and said they were out of chicken as well. We asked could we double or even triple up on meats and the cashier said yes. We asked the cook did he have rib tips left, he said yes. We decided on double brisket & triple rib tips. Look at the picture yall. That's what we got for $44. We sat looking at it for a minute. I said this is supposed to be double brisket and triple rib tips? The lady said yes. I guess she was the manager because she asked did we want a refund. I'm still looking in disbelief. I went to the register and said yes I'd like a refund. I even offered to pay for the drinks we had she was nice and refunded me in full. I know this place is new so I'm giving a lot of leeway here. Went in at 6pm on Sunday night. It was dead inside. We all knew what we wanted beforehand. I told the kid working the register that my daughter wanted half a rack of Saint Louis style ribs. It's literally the first item under that section of the menu but he kept insisting they didn't have those, I pointed out repeatedly it's right there on the menu. Another worker came out and showed him where they were on the computer ‍. My husband ordered a sandwich and upgraded it to a meal which included a side and a drink. I got a 3 meat platter which also came with a side. Also ordered 3 extra drinks. The kid gave us our drinks and we payed. I noticed he only gave us 2 cups instead of 3. Went back over to him and told him we were missing a cup...he said well you only ordered 2 drinks, I said yeah 2 drinks plus the one that came with the meal my husband ordered, he looked so confused but then the lightbulb turned on and he said oh okay, that will be $3. Instead of banging my head against the wall to get the kid to understand I just paid the $3. Food came out pretty fast. My kid hated the ribs, but I thought they were okay. They have a very pepper forward rub and she didn't like that. I felt the 3 meat platter was underwhelming on the proportions. I got the sliced brisket, pulled pork and 2 ribs. If I didn't end up eating my daughter's ribs too I would have left hungry. They only gave me 3 slices of brisket and a small scoop of pulled pork. I found all the meat to be pretty dry but the taste was alright. They do have some pretty good bbq sauces available. We paid 82 plus the addition 3 for the drink. This meal was nowhere near worth that cost. I wish we would have gotten the receipt because looking at the online prices looks like we were over charged by like $15. Ordered the 5 meat platter. 2 sliced Brisket, 2 Chopped Brisket and 2 Spare ribs fir $48. I got 4 okay sized brisket sliced and the chopped Brisket was almost inedible because it was 90% fat, I had to dig out pieces of meat because I hate the texture of fat funny enough. The slices brisket was about 80% fat and the pieces that weren't were pretty bland. The mac and cheese was pretty good and the fries were delicious but definitely not worth the money. That's about as much as I can say. Maybe I'll come try the pulled chicken and Beef ribs some time. But so far not a great experience read more

Our 2 year old would not eat the hot dog because the skin was so firm on the outside. They're finally open! We tried the Brisket Mac Wrap and the Nacho Fries. They're a little spendy, but that's to be expected at a BBQ joint! The food was flavorful and delicious!! They even have some very tasty Kool-Aid! The decor was new and inviting. The bathrooms were clean and had a funny theme that made me LOL! I do have a few thoughts; If this location put a little more push towards getting their name out there, whether that's through advertising, making social media content, offering a discount to neighboring businesses/employees off the clock, it would encourage more foot-traffic, and this place would be packed! I believe Rollin' Smoke needs and deserves more customers trying and talking about their food! Those people would return with more friends and family and become regulars, because the service and flavor is there! The only issue I can see here is almost no one knows they're even open as of now. I was visiting Crumbl a few weeks back and noticed that there was a new BBQ place where a taco place use to be. Today I talked my husband into treating our family to Rollin Smoke BBQ for dinner and man it really was a treat. Delicious!!!!! My daughter had the loaded baked potato with brisket, I had the brisket 3 ways, my husband had a catfish po boy, my grandson had a burger and my granddaughter had the chicken strips and some Mac and cheese. Sides of green beans and smashed potatoes topped off my meal. The portions were good and ALL of the food was delicious!! My fave was the brisket 3 was. Even the sauces were delicious. I now have a new favorite eating spot in Avondale that I can stop at when in the area shopping which is every weekend. Lol read more

Spacious place. Friendly service but the food wasn't all that. The brisket was super chewy and hard to pull apart, Mac and cheese was cold, I would give the food a solid 3 out of 10. It's hard to choose different things on the menu when they are out of pretty much everything. They literally had a sign of everything they were out of as you are ordering. And as you order, the cashier is saying that they just ran out of whatever you just ordered lol. Not the greatest as a first impression.
