Owner called my review fake so I'm uploading some photos of the uneaten / gross pizza from last night we didn't eat. Copying a review in yelp and Google doesn't mean it's fake. I am completely baffled at the good reviews. Firstly let's start with the price... $10-14 per slice.. 4 slices of pizza were $51. Insane. $51 FOR 4 AWFUL SLICES WE DIDNT EVEN WANT TO FINISH. Next, the pizza is not good. I don't know who is reviewing but it was stale, the dough was not good, and the flavors were beyond average. We tried the pepperoni, the vegetable pizza, the potato with mushrooms and the lasagna pizza. Between both of these things and the awful location / parking situation, it's just a bad experience. My father is Italian from Italy, and I've been going to Rome since I was 9 years old. I was excited to find Roman pizza and potato pizza here in LA! And then terribly let down. The pizza slices we were served had been sitting for hours based on the taste. And heated for only 20 seconds. Tasteless, overpriced, stale. I don't even think the dough is cooked fresh, I saw it in vacuum sealed bags in the back. I have seen the owner write really long responses to anyone who writes negative feedback and I'd advise not doing that and really trying to understand what is not good or what criticisms there are. Savory craving satisfied! Came in through the Too Good To Go app and now I'm definitely a customer for sure! I received four different slices: pepperoni, mushroom, veggie, and Margherita. The slices were generously sized, and they even gave me instructions for reheating them at home, which I appreciated. After reheating, the crust came out perfectly crispy on the outside while still airy and light on the inside. I purposely chose different flavor profiles for some variety, and I'm glad I did. As a regular Hollywood Farmers Market shopper, some time ago, I passed the former Frog froyo space and saw a banner in the window announcing a Roman-style pizza place. I took a picture of it, and then I waited. For a while, it was just the banner, but then about a week ago, it was clear that there had been serious movement: There was a restaurant inside, largely furnished, but still not quite open. Tonight, I was having one of those "I want to go out to eat but there are way too many options near me" moments, and I stumbled upon a mention of said pizza place--and that they were open! I love pizza, and I love new restaurants, so with a little prayer to the restaurant gods that they were really open, off I went. They were indeed open--their very first day of service. It's a small spot--four four-tops inside--but the decor is both comfortable and attractive. It's similar to NY-style slice spots in that you order your individual "piece" of pizza from the display up front, but instead of a triangular slice, you order a small rectangular pizza al taglio. They then heat it up and serve it to you. I started with pepperoni, because a classic is a classic for a reason. At this point, I need to make a confession: I wasn't particularly familiar with Roman-style pizza. But apparently it's characterized by an airier texture and a "snap" in the crust when you take a bite. This has both of those, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients (e.g., the olive oil). Next, on to the potato, sausage and mushroom pizza. This one was even better, and I added just a light sprinkling of chili flakes, which served as a great counterpoint to the potato in particular. And again, a crispy and airy crust that I was enjoying more and more. Finally, I tried what was effectively a nutella sandwich made from their pizza dough. It worked. It really worked. I think it's the lightness of the dough, the crispiness of it all and then the combination of salty and sweet. It's a really clever way to take something savory and turn it into dessert. Service is friendly and welcoming, and while admittedly the price point here is higher than you would pay at the hole-in-the-wall spots on Hollywood Blvd, you're paying for a much more artisanal level of pizza-making from people who clearly take pride in their craft. read more

While the pizza has a Roman-style crust, it almost feels like the crust is made separately before the toppings are added. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but after this experience, I think I should start. This little hole-in-the-wall pizzeria completely blew me away. It's about as close to Rome as you can get without boarding a plane. Most importantly, the pizza is phenomenal. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. I tried the Margherita and the Parmigiana, and both were outstanding. I'll definitely be coming back to work my way through the entire menu. Was excited about this shop opening. I work at a club nearby and stopped by on my way to work to get some pizza. Slices are small squares, look good, but are $12-$14 per square, so if you want two, it's already 24 to 28 bucks?? Come on, way too high. Why are shop owners so greedy? After I came back from Rome, I was so disappointed with pizza in California. I stumbled upon this place yesterday. The array of choices of The Beautiful various toppings was exquisite. The crust was just absolutely beautiful not like just a bunch of bread like most places, it was crispy and just the right thickness like in Italy. The place is pretty and comfortable, but very HIP and I absolutely loved the video of The Beautiful buildings and relics playing while you're eating and the wonderful music. And the kid who was working there was so gracious so sweet. He had a lot of class very kind he was a young guy. I provided a picture but you should make him the manager.
