Excellent spot for a date or a business dinner and everything in between. Staff has amazing attention to detail. Hosted a birthday dinner here and my server knew just what to do. Birthday dinner / date night (Daddy and Mommy away from kiddos) !! Quiet dark environment with instrumental music playing. We always get dressed to impress but a simple polo and shorts seem to pass. We were there for lunch yesterday. My spouse wishes to come back here. The food quality was not very good like the last time we were here about 2 years ago. I am not sure why we are here. They are really overrated but far than David Grisanti's. Ronnie needs to take notice that his cooking is not up standard than David. The Elfo Special is still not up standard. It was tasteless because the noodles were still watery and not properly strained and the shrimp was over cooked. The Toasted Ravioli was little under cooked. The Caesar Salad, Lobster Pizza and Fried Eggplant with red sauce was the only thing good. The deserts were excellent. read more

My Elfo was ruined, instead of butter it had so much cheese I thought it was a cream sauce. The waitress told me it was because people complained the butter was too rich. My bread was still in the oven & I had to track down the waitress to find out where it was. I complained about the Elfo & the owner/manager argued with me & turns out the chef added too much cheese & it wasn't supposed to be that way, still charged me for it. I paid & almost ran out. The employees stood at the front desk & complained, loudly, about staffing issues. The bread & Chianti were good but I'm never going back. It's changed since I was last there. read more

Ate at the bar, Ordered the Pollo Alla Gusi, since the bartender said it was a signature dish. Took awhile to get to me, cut a large piece, and popped it into my mouth. Was chewy and tasted like blood. Turned on the flashlight on my phone to see my plate and got to see raw chicken on my plate. Bartender was decent when o told her, then the manager showed up and wanted to get me another plate of it. I told her to just get me my check, she was not very happy and then said finally "I'll cover the cost, you can just leave"" TERRIBLE SERVICE. and now I wait to see if I get sick. First the restaurant was warm and did not feel like they had a good air flow. Everyone at our table was overwhelmed by the high humidity in the restaurant. They have really high booths that may trap heat it made for a very long meal. If the AC was broken close down or let patrons know something is wrong. I left sweating it was so warm. Food was ok! Drinks were drinks, service was very good and food for price was poor. I had the Elfo special. I could of had frozen shrimp scampi and it probably would of tasted the same. It had a couple of shrimp and a lot of pasta but little flavor. I would probably pass on going again we did not have a great experience. read more

Service was excellent. Toasted raviolis and calamari were average. Lobster pizza and gorgonzola filet were excellent. Manicotti and NY Strip were also average. Wine selection was average, too. We were there for an 18th birthday celebration, which we were asked about when we made reservations. However, they do nothing for birthdays except for a free candle in a paid dessert. Next time I dine out for a celebration, I'd go to Brooklyn Bridge or Colletta's for Italian and Folk's Folly for steak and celebratory dessert (cupcake & balloons!)! My wife and I went here for our Valentine's Day dinner. We have never been here before and we were anxious to check it out. The restaurant had a nice lively atmosphere and we were seated immediately by the hostess. The booth was very comfortable. Our waitress, Tamara, was extremely friendly and professional. The appetizer we chose was the Tuscan butter. It was delicious! We both had the 10 ounce filet. It was the best steak I've had in Memphis, by far! The sides we had were Italian spinach and the risotto. I can't say enough about how good they were. I had the chocolate cheesecake for desert. I'm a chocoholic so this thing was perfect. We have lived in the NJ/NY area 20+ years and enjoyed many FANTASTIC Italian restaurants. Besides, "THE" Girlfriend (my wife) has many exceptional Italian dishes in her repertoire. Tonight was Date Night, but we wanted something simple/quick because we are meeting a couple for lunch tomorrow. So we opted for Ronnie Grisanti in the Regalia Shopping Center. Tonight, we enjoyed: Calamari Fritti with Marinara and Lemon Aioli Sauces, The Original Miss Mary's Salad, Caesar Salad, Pane All'Aglio (Garlic Bread), and Ricotta Cake; plus few libations. Everything we ordered was DELIZIOSO and the Service was SUPERB (THANK You Carolyn, who was working tables and the Bar)! Their Calamari Fritti with Marinara and Lemon Aioli Sauces was PHENOMENAL! It was lightly battered, crisp, and succulent; "THE" Girlfriend speculated that they used egg whites in the batter. Both sauces were rich and well balanced; that Lemon Aioli was so good I darn-near licked the bowl clean. The Pane All'Aglio (Garlic Bread) was fresh from the oven and generously sprinkled with Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese... WOW! We even tried dipping that garlic bread in the aforementioned sauces... YUMMY! The greens and dressings for both salads were fresh, not refrigerated, and very refreshing; especially that Chianti Vinaigrette for the Miss Mary's salad. I have NO SHAME, so I dipped that garlic bread in the Vinaigrette Dressing several times and it was Pretty Darn Good. Their Ricotta Cake is really an ADDICTIVE Cheese Cake and it was FANTASTIC!!! read more

Worst experience at a Grisanti's restaurant!!!! #1 the server wasn't attentive to our wants or needs, we had to ask for every single thing and did not bother to check on our table of four, we had to ask other waiters for bread, water, etc . #2 After going through the spill of specials, waiter informed us at 6:45 that they were out of the special my husband ordered( how are you out that early in the evening but whatever) so he ordered a different special and he said it was actually very good. #3 One of the guest at our table ordered chicken parm and it was so tough, he couldn't eat it and of course our waiter didn't bother to check on us and we had to ask another waiter to help with the inedible dish and she argued and said she took it back and was able to cut it with a spoon ( right, I guess he should have used a spoon instead of a knife). And to end the evening, I informed waiter that we had to ask for every single thing and he was unapologetic which made the experience even worse with his smarty attitude. We were treated as though we had asked for a full complimentary dinner and we had NO INTENTIONS of that at all. We were greeted by a very nice hostess and were immediately seated for our 6:45 reservation. We were blessed with a great server named Ross who was polite, not overbearing and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. We were a group of four and were hungry so we started out with the Cocktail di Gamberi (shrimp cocktail with three sauces), the Polpo Alla Griglia (grilled octopus) and a special which was prosciutto wrapped shrimp. We could not have picked any better. The shrimp were very large and the consistency was good and not tough or rubbery. I had never had octopus, and was hesitant to try it, but with some persistent urging, I did and it was very tasty. The prosciutto wrapped shrimp came with garbanzo beans and they were exceptional. I ordered the Elfo Special and it was phenomenal. I love pasta and the sauce with the shrimp and mushrooms was so creamy and seasoned just right. Most of it had to go in a box because I could not possibly eat it in one sitting. My husband and friend ordered the Black Sea bass special and raved about how good it was. The other friend go the Saltimbocca saying it was delicious. I won't speak for the others but my take on this visit to Grisanti's was an awesome experience and I look forward to my next visit. From start to finish, the meal, atmosphere and service were what you expect from the name Grisanti. Fabulous! OH! I forgot the most important thing! Our party of three visited Ronnie Grisanti's last weekend for dinner. We had a reservation for 8, but showed up a little early and they were able to go ahead and seat us. The restaurant was definitely busy, including lots of people dining in the bar area while watching football on TV. Service was excellent. My husband had a chopped salad and the chicken parmesan. He said both were delicious. He is a huge chicken parm fan, so his review is high praise. I had a Caesar salad and the Elfo Special. Both were good, but I felt the Elfo Special was nothing out of the ordinary and a little bland. Our daughter had the ravioli and thought it was outstanding. Overall a great dinner in a lovely restaurant. I'd highly recommend a reservation if you plan to go here on the weekend. Ronnie Grisanti's has the most incredible lasagne I've ever tasted! My girlfriend and I celebrated our birthdays there this year. We will be back. Salads were marvelous and home made bread delicious! I have been on a food adventure since my move from CA. Today we tried Grisanti's thanks to some recommendations. While my spaghetti had a strong herb taste the base of the sauce was very rich and flavorful. Our server was amazing and the app we tried was out of this world with flavor and serving size. Had lunch here and it was pretty good. The grilled shrimp bruschetta was wonderful. The salads were fresh and tasty. The entrees were merely OK. The sauce on the chicken and mushroom ravioli was way too salty. The pizza had an odd taste from either anchovies or the spinach. The potato soup was OK. If you're lucky, the owner will tell you his amazing family history in Memphis, going back to 1909. The quality, and craftsmanship of everything from the decor, ambiance, and menu is second to none. I have been only once but probably one of best Italian places in town. Flavors are amazing and food is delicious. I had the pollo al parmigiano and it was amazing. We had never been here and decided to go for date night. We didn't have a reservation but they had 2 seats at the bar. The bar turned out to be a more intimate setting than if we had gotten a booth. Had the lobster pizza years ago. Tried it the other day. I ordered extra lobster. When the pizza came out, it looked pathetic. The lady next to me noticed there was almost no lobster. I then asked the bartender~"If you tell me this looks like extra lobster, I'll take your word". She smiled snd shook her head and said "Uh, no. That is not right" and proceeded to the kitchen. When she returned she was singing a very different tune, downplaying the issue..."Well, we don't put much shrimp on it to begin with so that does look about right". B.S. The crust was also barely cooked...the crust didn't have a brown spot or any crunch to it. Basically, the pizza was a total loss. The cheesecake had a freezer-burned bitter taste to it.
