I did an order off of Grubhub always trying to help local businesses in my neighborhood. We order catfish filets plus six pieces, three-piece catfish filets, two link sandwiches, a link basket, and wings. Guess what? No, wings. Now the funny part is they actually gave an entire box with bread, pickles, and pepper and no wings. Like who does that? The links were actually good. The catfish was fried right but lacked flavor for me. Thank goodness for hot sauce. I can't tell you about the wings because they don't exist. The prices are good! I just wish I knew where my wings were at. Catfish-2.5 Wings-0 becauuse I never got them. But getting my refund is a 5. Links-5 Fries-1 why do they taste like day-old cold grease fries? **ATTENTION DELIVERY DRIVERS** **Do not expect to be respected at this establishment** ....I'm not sure who the lady is at the front. (Older, frumpy body built black lady, goldish brown hair) I came twice within the same hour...she was rude both times. 1st time she stood in front of me on the phone (ear piece) complaining about paying someone's bills or someone wanting money, never acknowledged me or screamed hello as she did everyone else AFTER me.... A kid with locs helped, who was present when I initially gave her a name and she ignored me. Thanks kid. 2nd time-same day & hour. There was no one in there. I opened the door no one said anything. Super annoyed with this place. Placed an order on door dash for 3 piece fish with salad and pork chop with fries. Received order and only had the salad and the fries which both looked awful. Contacted delivery driver who literally drove back to my house to show he had not been given anything and else. Tried to call restaurant and they would not answer after several calls. Hours say they close at 9:00 so since it was 8:30, we drove there to ask about missing items. They were already closed. Always try to support BOB, but seem to always get a bad deal. read more

Hello readers, Always a fantastic experience at Ronnie's restaurant. The only issue I encountered was gaining weight due to their delicious food portions being satisfying and great prices. The team at Baylor-BUMC also enjoys the food and great hospitality provided by Ronnie's. and Lady Jessica J. To those who are complaining about the restaurant, I suggest going to a nearby lake and catching the fish of the day. If you're not satisfied, throw it back and try again. This IS NOT 2 pieces of fish. Asked for tarter sauce SPECIFICALLY and recieved basic packages, though I was more than willing to pay for the resturant sauce had it been offered. Got all the way back to work with this subpar offering, called the resturant where she offered to take it back and refund me.....4 hours later. Watch out for this plate at 4pm, as clearly they plan to resell it. Ruined my lunch at my expense. DON'T EAT HERE. I reviewed this place a year ago. POOR REVIEW then and nothing has changed. I have always been one who would love to patronize our black businesses, especially within our neighborhood so that we can keep great things going however, this is not my first bad incident with Ronnies catfish they do great service however their product is starting to lack and that is bad I ordered three catfish fillets and what I bought home looks like buffalo fish and had Brown in it when I called them back to advise them that they may have given me the wrong order or something was wrong. The burden proof is gone me they told me if I didn't bring it back to them. The fish that you do get is seasoned well. However, they cut one filet in half and call it a whole filet. So if you order a two piece, your really getting one whole filet cut in half. This is at all of their locations. It can be hit or miss with the freshness of your fish. And the freshness of your fries. Got the 3 piece catfish fillet it comes with a good size order of fries (crinkle cut) 2 slices of toast cut in half and a jalapeno and some pickle slices. I ordered an extra tartar sauce so one spicy and one regular cause wth they had a spicy one which is rather good. No chairs or fountain drinks but you can't have everything. The catfish seemed smaller than sharks fish & chicken but were more dense and cheaper per fillet. I will be back to this place just maybe get a drink somewhere else or at home. read more

Service Hello, the service was horrible all 3 ladies that worked June 30, 2023 were rude as you know what. The wall menu was upside down which would take 5 minutes to correct. When I said it will take a minute for me to read I'd upside down then I became the stupid one. I know it's not the best area but people deserve to be treated with respect I entered at 3:45 and didn't get out till after 5pm and had to have my husband go back and get the food cause I couldn't bear the treatment and lies any longer. I had used the rest room when I arrive. Then when I said I'm going to leave my drink here and go to the rest room. They told me it was broke. When the angry employee left and I went toward the door another one went off in front of all the customers it was unbelievable. Why would the just say no ones allowed to use the rest room. Such anger and aggressive behavior coming from beautiful young black women. Someone needs to retrain them. They act like it's a problem to help their customers. They need supervision. Ronnies Catfish has excellent catfish! I've been here twice,, once as a call in and once as a walk in. Both times I waited 15-20 min for my order. I think this is the normal for these type of establishments (I had the same experience with Peaches Louisiana Catfish in Duncanville). I prefer Ronnie's because of their friendly customer service and the taste of their fried fish. I must say that they should make sure they order enough salad for their orders.... because they ran out of salad, both times and gave me extra fries. I'm not really a fry fan, so I could not appreciate the extra fries, but I did appreciate the effort and acknowledgement. If you want good fish, this is the place to go. Oh! I get home and bit into a piece and was like "hmmm the texture is different and the taste is lite". I smelled the fish and it had a hint scent of catfish.
