Ron' place traditionally has been one of the best hamburger place in the entire northwest. They always cook it just right to your taste. That Long Island ice teas with 15 different is the best. It is often difficult to get a seat at the booths here, and while you can eat at the bar you can also smoke (this could be a plus for some). It had a dark pubby atmosphere, a wide selection of novelty drinks and beers (plus full bar), and some great burgers/sandwiches. read more

I came here periodically with my family as a kid and I always enjoyed it. I've since moved out to California and it had been about 12 years or so since I'd been here. Was in town this past week and stopped in with my family for some lunch. Everybody went with the Ron's 5x5. The burgers were just as good as I remembered. A few in our party tried the Parmesan kale soup as well and it received good reviews from both. The drink portions are pretty large. The stain glass window was as charming as it was as a child. Kudos to Ron's for the great food and consistency. Can't wait to come back again someday. read more

I've been coming to Ron's since I started eating solid-food... so long enough to write a good review. To say I love this place would be an understatement. Ron's is an institution and so loved by basically everyone who lives here. It is ALWAYS busy (which as my grandfather taught me, is a good sign when a restaurant is constantly packed. You know it's good). We come here on a weekly basis, at least for a drink. Or two. Or three. The long islands are awesome, I'm plenty buzzed after 2 (you will need a D.D. for sure). There is a limit of 3 but if you can drink that many.... My favorites are the Night Light, Ron's Relaxer, and Van Gough. If you are going to visit more than just once, do the Tour of Teas so you can try them all. You get a T-shirt at the end (your trophy, only bad-a$$es have 'em) and entered to win a trip (I think). I've had everything on the menu. It's all awesome. My favorite is the classic and famous 5x5 burger. I have mine medium with 2 slices of hot pepper cheese and regular fries. Not even $6. The burgers melt in your mouth and keep you wanting more. They're super simple, but super good. My favorite appetizer is the mini tacos with my long island. You can't go wrong here, bring some friends and stay a while. By the way, there is no smoking now in WI, a plus in my opinion. read more

I called in an order at 4:53, a single sandwich I asked to be ready at 5:30. I got there 5 minutes early, checked in with snotty waitstaff and kept checking and asking for my food. I left at 5:39 when they STARTED making my sandwich. I live a half an hour away so it was a conscious choice to go there, one I won't make again. I was late meeting my friends and now, 9:35, still haven't had dinner because of the plans with friends so can either do crappy fast food or stay hungry until I get home. read more

You have to go with the Long Island iced teas if you go here. Two of these is more than enough to reach anybody's limit, and the burgers here were amazing. Also, it's really close to a liquor store which has the cheapest prices I've ever seen and has spotted cow. I really like Ron's Relaxer. Tastes like pineapple juice but after two or three you know its definitely not just juice. They have really good burgers, 5x5 is my favorite. Every time I went it was pretty crowded, but in the downstairs area it wasn't so bad. Tour of Teas is neat. If you go take a look at some of the decorations, they're pretty neat. I've been here quite a few times, and waitresses are always friendly. Sometimes service was fast, sometimes slow. read more

If your looking for a killer Long Island, Rons is the place to go! They limit you for a reason! I normally get the Jamaican or the Rons Relaxer. They range from $6-$8 and boy do you get your monies worth! The food is another plus, and the cost is one that can't be beat. The area upstairs is a bar with a few tables and booths. There is a basement area (be sure to duck when going down the stairs!, ceilings are low) that offers plenty of seating as well as a bar! I would say this is a must stop while in Kenosha! read more
